Qhorin looks at the man with wide eyes, kind of disturbed by this. He had never even thought of something like that. "It would be... hundreds of dragons I imagine. The westerlands have lions I know, maybe one could be acquired there without going over the sea. The Lannisters used to have a caged lion at one point, they capture them sometimes and showed them off in Lannisport. Who are you again?" the mason asks, still getting to know the place and people.

"Jormun Rivers, Master of the Hunt, and overseer of this little sand pit. I don't think the Lannisters would give us their lion, but we might be able to catch one. How much of our souls would we have to sell to them to get one delivered? Anything below nine-tenths and it's agreeable. Do they make lion armor? Imagine, a duel to the death with the reigning champion, the armored lion name.. Cuddles." Jormun nodded slowly, not even the slightest flicker of humor in his features. "Now that would bring in some money."

Qhorin snorted "Cuddles. Huh. Well, there are lions in the western hills. You feel obliged, could always head over and take one. Would be quite a journey, but I'm sure you wouldn't have to sell any part of your soul to get it. Hell, might be able to hire a group to do it for you. You get lucky, you might just fall down a trapdoor in this place with enough gold buried underneath. I found something like that already."

Jormun had already opened his mouth to reply before the last sentence registered. "Reeeally now? You mean a giant, unnecessary place like this has hidden passages and rooms? Do go on."

Qhorin taps his nose while he continues eating with the other hand "Already found one hidden treasure spot, and with something like that, don't doubt there's more secrets to be found in this place. Course, can't expect to find 400 dragons sitting around like that every day, but still mighty interesting. Old Hoare seems to have liked secrets." He finishes the food and stands up stretching before consulting his notes again. "Have to figure out where to go next. I'm coordinating the quarry and dock as well, but that's not that hard right. Just breaking earth."

"Feel free to come along on our bear hunt. We leave in two days, and it should be an easy enough trip. It would give you plenty of time to not think about quarries and docks. They say nothing frees the mind like nature, after all." Jormun grinned up at the man, clearly not just looking for another distraction for the bear. "Besides, Belric himself is condoning this hunt, so there would be great recognition to those who succeed."

The Mason shakes his head "can't even ride, and I'm a city boy. Never used a bow." He felt touched by the invitation though. Seemed like a decent man. "You're welcome to come with me on my rounds though, maybe find something interesting like."

"Unfortunately, I still have much to do before the hunt, but afterwards, we will have to go on an adventure through the keep." Jormun nodded slowly, noting the only thing in the way of this plan was a bear hunt, which he had good history with.

"I'll be around" said Qhorin solidly "Ask any of the workers, the'll know where I am. Usually Dock or Quarry at this point, but we'll see if I have time for looking around the place."

9th Day, 3rd Moon.
Jormun returns to the bear pit, almost entirely free of injury and eager to get the preparations underway to house and raise their new cub. Deciding that a thorough inspection is the first order of business, Jormun studies the bear pit to see what work was needed.

Deciding that a thorough inspection is the first order of business, Jormun studies the bear pit to see what work was needed. [Observation- 30 Animal D&T- 50] (Success on the second roll.) The cub is clearly more terrified than terrifying, and curls up in a ball. Still, it is a healthy specimen and shpuld make a fierce spectacle before long. Turning his attention to the arena, Jormun realizes they now need to cultivate the human element. Sponsorship and marketing were beyond the knight's experience, but he certainly knew enough about fighting to know what to look for in combatants. Shiv arrived with some wrapped meat and began feeding it to the cub. "Well, aren't you a charming one... Going to make a killer out of you yet!"

Jormun grinned at Shiv. "We've got our bear, or close enough. Now we just need our fighters. My plan is to start recruiting from the local towns, give some of the common people a chance to see Harrenhal and train with our fighters. If you have any ideas, I'm open to hearing them."

"Aye, there are plenty of former soldiers who didn't leave the war with a knighthood or lordship." He stood up and turned to the knight. "But you'll want something special for our first showing. A showman to ply the crowd with his bravado. A sellsword or a hedge knight, typically. Landed ones are proven quality, but they're not going to shift from their holdfast for us. Don't worry about their name, we'll make something up if it's not sensational enough. The posters will turn Ser Owen the Honest into Orys the 'Orrifying!"

"Then I will travel out and find our champion. If you were still fighting, the honor would be yours, of course." Jormun peers down into the pit, envisioning the glory it would one day become. "Should we capture wolves as our opponents, or bring in criminals and volunteers to fight? There is no shortage of either."

"Wolves are a fine choice, and are easier to breed than bears. If we still had a master of hounds, I'd suggest looking there for support, but I can find someone to tend to them. They also don't expect gold in payment. But if you can talk the Blackforts into letting us use criminals..." He stroked his ape-like chin. "There's a bit of theatre in a good arena. And redemption makes for good theatre, as well as the occasional villain."
