The sept at Riverrun is a seven-sided sandstone building. It is set amidst the gardens. Inside, the images of the Seven Holies are painted on marble.

11th day, 3rd moon
Violet headed to the sept. She felt an overwhelming urge to pray to the gods to preserve them all. She had done her hair hslf up, with Tya's help and had used a silken sash to dress up her plain gown.
Stepping inside, she knelt before the statue of the Maiden.

She found Lady Tully kneeling before the Crone. She was likewise dressed in a plain grey gown. Nearby, praying to the Warrior, was her disfigured sworn shield. Upon Violet's entrance, the knight ceased his prayer, and took a seat upon a nearby bench, occasionally but not rudely directing his glance at the Blackfort.

Violet prayed for a while, in silence, as she often did. After a while she knelt beside the statue of the Crone, to pray for wisdom and guidance in these difficult times. She prayed in silence again, keeping an eye on Lady Tully as she waited for a suitable opportunity to speak. But prayer was a sacred thing and she had no desire to interrupt Lady Tully's communion with rhe goddess.

Eventually, the older woman rose, the knight helping her to her feet. "Thank you, Mors."

Violet's knees had begun to ache but she rose with grace.
"My lady, may I speak with you?"

She gave Violet a weary but polite smile. "Of course." Lady Tully took a seat on one of the benches. "Forgive my curt nature, but I have also just reached the end of my own journey. I only returned from the Crossing just yesterday a few hours before your own party."

Violet seated herself next to the lady. "Of course. Travel can be so wearisome, no matter how much you look forward to the journey's end. I hope your kin at The Twins are well?"

"No, they are not well." She snapped. "I lost a brother, my mother, four cousins, and my childhood friend while your brother Edmure and his friends were trying to murder my husband and children."
Her face softened. "I'm sorry. I know you had no role in the war."

Violet gasped. "I'm...sorry, my lady, truly. I spoke of those the gods spared. I am sorry for your losses though. My mother died when I was just a little girl," she confessed. "I worried about my family during the war but I was lucky enough to be spared any involvement or personal griefs."
She put out a tentative hand. "I would love to put the past aside, if my lady can forgive me for being Edmure's sister."

(Success. Personal disposition raised with Lady Tully.) She accepted Violet's hand. "If you will accept my apology. So tell me. You're still young and beautiful. How many suitors has your brother turned away so far? Or has word not reached your vassals of the beauty of their Lord's sister?"

Violet blushed but the compliment warmed her heart.
"Belric hasn't turned away any suitors yet but I haven't even had the chance to meet any. I was supposed to start looking atound at eligible young men of the Riverlands but then we got the summons to come here and, well, I simply had to see Riverrun for myself. It's so beautiful conpared to Harrenhal."
A smile lit her face. "I am but seventeen, my lady, and Belric has not held Harrenhal for long. I expect it will take time for the young men to grow curious about me."

"Seventeen is already well into hunting season for your maidenhood. More often, it is courage that is slow in the reveal and not curiosity. Knights and lordlings will soon be competing for what's between your legs, and more importantly, an alliance with the new masters of Harrenhal. Your brother and his wife will no doubt show you much affection, but know this. Your young body is as much a commodity for them as all the gold and silver in their treasury."

"I know that," Violet admitted. "I have known that since Belric was granted Harrenhal, but that doesn't mean I can't look about to find a husband who suits my own needs as well as Belric's."
She paused for a moment and asked "May I ask a bold question, my lady?"
