The ramparts rise high above the courtyards of Harrenhal, providing a view of any interesting things that happen to be going on below.

2nd day, 5th moon
Violet led Ser Whalen outside, thankful for her warm dress. As she had expected, she felt much better away from the fraught atmosphere inside the great hall, and the cool air restored her too. She smiled at Whalen, her eyes sparkling in the light of a torch carried by a passing guard.
"I love standing out here," she said. "The stones of Harrenhal can be rather dark, I feel as if I have been set free when I am up here. Tell me about Stone Hedge, if you like. I know Harrenhal is the biggest castle in the world, but I imagine Stone Hedge feels warmer and perhaps friendlier?"

Whalen waited patiently for the guard to pass and the light of his torch to vanish into the black night, before he placed his hands on Violet's hips and pushed her back, pinning her with his body against the nearest merlon. He pressed his lips insistently against her own without a word. She had set a time constraint after all and he clearly had not intent to waste it pointlessly with idle conversation.

Taken by surprise, convinced that he would not dare be so bold, and shocked that he would stop the game so abruptly, Violet was seized by instant panic. She pushed against his shoulders, not hard, but enough to indicate that she was not prepared.

Clearly this game was more his speed and unprepared did not mean unwilling. He regretted she had not taken him to the stables as he had suggested, rather than the ramparts, as he would have simply tossed her in the hay. Either way, it did not seem to slow the strapping lad much, his mouth descending to her slender neck as one of his hands dropped to her skirts.

Violert now began to feel a bit scared that things were slipping beyond her control. What had begun as a silly flirtation had suddenly rampwd up several notches and could now end in disaster. For her, anyway. She pushed him away, more firmly this time.
"Stop," she said, quietly but firmly. "I didn't ask you to do that."

"You didn't have to," he said insistently, breath hot against her neck, as he used his weight to pin her in place. "Your body betrays your words." He kissed her again, the hand not fiddling with her skirts reaching up to grip one of her breasts over the dress.

Presumably Whalen meant the situation to be sexy but Violet was both anxious and annoyed that he just wasn't listening to her. Her brain was screaming that his behaviour was improper, too fast and just plain wrong. She tore her mouth away from his.
"I said no, ser." She attempted to slap his hands away from her breast and her skirts. "If you are a true knight, Ser Whalen, you will respect my wishes. I was enjoying our conversation and will be your friend but I don't care to be forced into something I'm not ready for, and didn't ask for."
And then, she had the awful, sickening thought that perhaps all men were the same. Mother help me, what am I going to do if Lord Roote is like this?

He removed his greedy hands from their positions, but only to pin her hands over her head against the crenellations. "You were the one that challenged what diversion I could provide," he said, clearly riled up, pressing his body against her own still. "I assure you there are many that don't involve claiming your maidenhead, but a stallion knows a mare in heat when he sees one."

Violet gasped. She was not accustomed to being compared to a mere animal. Nor was she accustomed to being pinned against a wall.
"I challenged you to divert me, not startle me," she replied. "I thought you'd use sweet words and courtly manners, not push me against the walls like a serving girl. And you've forgotten the guard, ser. I suggest you release me, or this conversation is over."

And Ser Whalen was accustomed to the battlefield and war camp. Most men his age were likely rusty on the ways of proper courting.
"You were the one that said we were short on time," he reminded her, using one hand to keep her arms in place as the other worked at the laces of her gown. "And judging by the length of this massive wall, I believe we have more than enough time." Conversation was clearly the last thing on his mind.

"Please leave my gown alone," she whispered, urgently, confused and embarrassed and even a little intrigued. "I don't want to get cold."
She took a breath. " Kindly release me and I'll kiss you again, properly."

"Trust me, you'll be burning up in a moment," he assured her, still working at her laces, but releasing her hands. "I knew you'd come around," he smirked, self-satisfied, though at least he remembered her name this time.

She was still very much conflicted but it seemed that giving him a small part of what he wanted was the best way to leave the ramparts with some part of her dignity intact. So she leaned forward and kissed him as passionately as her limited experience would allow. He was not the first man she had kissed but her experience was not great.

(+1 Seduction. Disposition remains the same.)
He did not seem to mind her lack of experience, more than making up for it as he slid his tongue in her mouth. Then again, it didn't take much to satisfy a man already riled up, like throwing gasoline on a bonfire. He had her gown unlaced in a flash, exposing her back to the cold, though the fabric was quickly replaced with warm hands.
