Dacey looked to Saesha and realized she was probably right. Damn.
The lead was undoubtedly better than what they'd had before, which had been nothing. "Could be them," she said after short consideration. "We'll look into it. Thanks."
She glanced at the bones once more. It wasn't like she'd brought a shovel. "I'll have someone bury those later," she said.

"Any time. I'll send some men to bury him," she offered taking it upon herself, "it's only fitting a servant of this place get the proper respect owed."

//////////////////// 2nd Moon, 25th day
Belric had sent a servant to find Yoren, asking the sworn knight to meet his Lord in the godswood. Waiting at the edge of the grounds, Belric sat patiently, grim thoughts of his trip to Riverrun playing in his mind.

Yoren had heard that belric wanted to see him, coming to the woods to meet his friend. He spotted him, walking over with a smile as he gave a bow of his head.
"You wanted to see me, Lord Belric?" He asked him. He'd been working on getting better with titles and using the proper names for people, something that he'd most likely need to get good at to serve Belric well. Calling belric anything but friend or his first name was hard, so now he often called him lord belric, as an easy way for him to remember to call his friend a lord.

Belric stood when he saw Yoren round the corner. "If it isn't the Hammer of Harrenhal himself!" Belric declared, smiling wide at his good friend's courtly manners.
"Walk with me," He said, turning and taking several paces towards into the godswood. "I will be leaving for Riverrun within a few days, to swear fealty to our Lord Paramount. I will be needing you to accompany me and act as my protection, while we walk amongst our enemy." Belric looked to Yoren, remembering all the times the knight had followed him into much worse. Weeping Crest came to mind specifically.

"Quite the title you've given me, Belric. Seems to be sticking more and more..." He said with a chuckle, before following his friend. The name did have a good ring to it. But Yoren hoped to one day live up to having such a title. He'd cosnider it well met when he'd done something in his service worth the name.
As he walked along and listened, he nodded his head. Riverrun wasn't exactly on good terms with the new king, nor were the tullys. Considering that, Yoren could see how things could get risky for the Blackforts.
"I'll have your back, though, I wonder if it'll come to that..." Yoren said as he looked over to Belric on their walk, "You're swearing fealty. That's what a persons supposed to do in this sorta situation. Even if the tully's hate us, or the blackfyre's, they wouldn't just outright try to kill ya, would they?" He asked, not sure if he'd be able to look at the tully's the same way if they did.

Belric nodded his appreciation of Yoren's support. He had know the man would guard him, wether it was asked of him or not.
"They might not try to kill me in the light of day, the orders might not even come from Lord Tully's lips, but we would be arrogant not to expect some sort of foul play. We have been fighting these men for years, and Medgar has only recently surrender after a brutal siege. He must be feeling bitter, otherwise I doubt this summons would not have come so quickly."

Yoren frowned in thought, knowing just how bloody long this fighting had been in the riverlands. He decided to trust his friends judgement on it, and keep his eyes peeled for anything off.
"I'll keep you safe, my friend. Nobody will lay a hand on you, so long as I can lift my hammer in your defense." He said, the matter as far as he was concerned being settled, "Now, how long till we take leave?"

"It is not your hammer that I doubt. Though, if we don't play the game properly, you may never even have a chance to wield it." He spoke truly, admiring the empty branches of the trees while he walked. "We will make for Riverrun in a few days time. I have only one or two loose ends to tie up before we leave, so I suggest you do the same. You will be acting captain of my guard for the duration, so take this time to assemble your men."

28/2/200
After seeing how her crippled uncle fared, Dacey had come to the Godswood to reflect on the events of these past few days. She hadn't brought her bow this time as her healing wounds made carrying it on her back a little troublesome. Her twin swords were fastened on her hips, though, and she wore a new cloak she'd bought in Harrentown a few days before the skirmish. This one was black in colour as opposed to the worn red one she'd shredded a while back to tie up Jormun's foot.
She was standing next to the now corpseless heart tree, one hand on its ghastly white bark.

Benjen Snow hadn't been to a godswood in a long time. None that was alive or didn't have a heart tree, at least. The one at Harrenhall was... different. He could feel the thrum of the air as he followed the path to the weirwood at the center of the wood. However, when he got there, he was surprised to see he was not alone. It was one of the other Blackforts by the look of it, though aside from Lady Saesha, he hadn't had any real face-to-face contact with any of them since the war.
"Begging your pardon," He said as he walked up alongside her and knelt before the tree, his feet crossing and his legs spread apart slightly. It was a sitting position that he learned from an archer across the sea, probably Asshai'i if he had to guess. He locked eyes with the heart tree's face, then bowed his head and spoke a quiet prayer for safety and guidance.

Dacey had opened her eyes at the sound of footsteps and looked silently as the man knelt before the tree. She dropped her hand, finding it a little rude he'd had just commandeered the tree. She was used to praying alone. At best, she'd not have minded her family or friends, but he was admittedly neither.
A moment later, she recognized him as one of the scouts under Benjen's command during the war, though Dacey had not been in his party. "Benjen Snow?" she asked, a little surprised. She had impeccable memory when it came to names and faces. "What are you doing here?"

Benjen didn't think of his action as rude. It was basically a public altar for the members of the castle, therefore he had just as much a right to pray there as anyone else. Granted, he didn't realize that the person he had interrupted was a Blackfort. He had finished up his prayer just as she spoke his name, causing his head to snap up. "By my blade," He said in quiet surprise as he rose to his feet to face her. "Dacey Blackfort. I haven't seen you since the war! Still using that twisted piece of cordwood you called a bow? More importantly, you still proving smart-asses like me wrong with it?"
He mainly only knew Dacey by reputation, since she was probably one of the best goddamn shots in house Blackfort, along with from the other Benjen. However, they had bumped into one another at some point, and at least exchanged names. However, he returned to her question, "I figured that since your brother did right by me during the war, I would come back to serve him proper. Swore my sword to the house yesterday."

It was a 'public' altar for a religion that was highly private.
She smiled a little despite herself. "It was fine elm and I still have it. Though the one I now use is made of this," she said, glancing at the heart tree and knocking on its pale bark twice.
Dacey didn't know him too well either. She gave him a measuring look and nodded. "Trust is hard to come by even these days," she said evenly. "I hope you do right by him."

Benjen didn't know whether to think that was thoroughly awesome or incredibly sacrilegious. "Weirwood bow? How about that," He said, staring at the strong, sturdy tree, "The wood is really stubborn, from what I've heard. You'd have to have the right kind of touch to pull it. Unless you're fucking with me, that is."
He continued, with regards to his allegiance, "I like your brother enough to give him my allegiance even though I only worked for him as a mercenary for the course of a couple of years. I'd like to say that you can trust me, buuuuuut..." He gave a shrug, "I'll leave that for you to figure out for yourself. Words are only wind, but flesh carries weight." Those last words were a phrase he picked up from an Ironborn pirate during a visit to a tavern in Lannisport. The man was so deep in his cups that Benjen could barely understand him, but wisdom can be found in many places, it seemed. Even in the bottom of a bottle.
