"That is good information to have," Saesha smiled, "thank you for telling me, I know that it must not be easy to divulge your past ladies secrets, but I do appreciate your loyalty,"

(+2 to Charm. Ser Simon gains 1 Disposition Level with House Blackfort)
"You are my lady now," he said, bowing his head and placing a hand over his heart. "This is not a time to cling to the past."

"Yes, that is true." Saesha agreed. "If you could have made one structural change to Harrenhal before we arrived, if you had been at peace, what would you have liked done?"

"I would have extended the wall around Harrentown, my lady," he replied. "The town was sacked twice during the war and each time that is a hefty blow to our taxes and manpower."

"Sound advice Ser, I shall add that to the list," she assured him. Harrentown could as well just be moved into their walls, but then there'd be no divide.

"Will that be all, my lady?" the grim old knight inquired.

"Yes thank you, if I should seem to disappear, please tell my husband, that I will be in a hidden room in our chambers... But unless I do, I should like to choose when and if he should know. " she smiled, "thank you for your council, Ser Simon."

After what seemed to be a buggeringly long climb, Benjen found himself on the fifteenth bloody level of the bloody tower. He stood outside Lady Saesha's solar and took a moment to catch his breath before he straightened up and tried to make himself look as presentable as he could (given the circumstances). He raised one gloved hand and knocked on the door, standing patiently and waiting for a response of some kind.

She called out and her Sworn Sword Ser Simon opened the door, letting the man in.
Lady Saesha was sitting at her desk checking on some of the building projects already looked at by the Mason. The sun was streaming through the window, making her hair look like it was glowing.
She looked up and waited for him to introduce himself.

Well damn, she was definitely a vision. Benjen could appreciate beauty in all its forms, though he could not afford to pause to appreciate her radiance right now. He bowed to her and said, "Benjen Snow, my lady. I served your Lord Husband during the Blackfyre War in his scouting divisions."

"That is commendable. We are honoured to host a veteren of my Brother's War in our Keep." she said diplomatically.
"I am Lady Saesha, Lord Belric's Wife."

"It is an honor, Lady Saesha. I had heard tales of your loveliness from many a man that laid eyes on you, but the tales fall short of the real thing," He responded, continuing the exchange of pleasantries. "I have actually come in hopes that I could renew my service to your family and swear my sword and fealty to you." He knew that the swordsman attending her would follow him as he moved and take his head if he tried any funny business, so he walked with confidence around the side of her desk, drew the greatsword from his hip, and knelt before Lady Saesha with the blade across his palms.
"If you would have me, I would be glad to serve house Blackfort in many a battle to come."

"Many a battle to come?" she asked resting her finger tips together in front of her and leaning back in her chair, "The war is over,"
Her eyes followed him as he came round the table and wondered if Ser Simon was going to intervene.
"I provisionally accept your offer, as my lord husband is not currently available." she could not see him refusing, "It is of course subject to final approval from Lord Belric however. But you may move about the castle and use the yard."
She waited for him to get up off the floor.
"How did a man from the north wind it's way into a Riverland's scouting party?"

Benjen rose to his feet and sheathed his sword, returning to the front of the desk. "Thankye, my lady, but I'm inclined to disagree with you. There is always some kind of war going on, and therefore always battles to be fought. Whether it's a war against hunger, or a war against bandits, or a war against another country. There's always fighting of some kind that needs to be done." The somber statement passed, and he offered her a broad grin. "As for the matter of a northman serving your husband? Well, there are many a tale to tell regarding that, but I'll give you the short version.
"When I was young, my mother was a barmaid at a tavern, and had to deal with more men touching her than she would have liked. One day, she got sick of being touched and broke a bottle across a man's face, slitting his throat with one of the shards. I ran, and I encountered a group of mercenaries that took me in, taught me the sword, then went south across the Twins just in time for us to join the war." It was one of many stories he had rehearsed and told time and time before. He would never admit that he was the son of that sick fuck up in the north. Not unless he took the man's head himself.

"Using your sword on the hungry may not win us the good will of the people." she said, then smiled a little to show it was a joke.
"Did your mother run with you? If you have that name, your father must have been a noble." She pointed out but did not ask the name, just calling a spade a spade.
