"The gates themselves aren't your issue, my lord, especially once we finish the repairs. Rather, the issue is manpower. Most gates are designed to limit an enemy's advance by creating a narrow space to focus your attention on. Since you can fit Riverrun itself through that gate, our biggest issue in the event of a siege would be having enough men prepared to notice the breaches and hold back the enemy. And my apologies for stating the obvious, my lord, but this castle was designed as the center of an great kingdom, not a single Lord's fiefdom."

"More men will come as we grow to be able to accept them, we need to gain wealth and food stores to do these things, difficult to do in the winter months," Saesha pointed out,

Belric nodded his agreement with what Saesha had said. "Men will come in time, and this castle will grow into the city it was intended as the economy develops. I would hope, in the mean time, the men you led to storm the armory would pick up arms again should we ever be forced to defend ourselves."
"You had mentioned bandits as well." Belric added, "What can you tell me of these rumors?"

"Not much, my lord. I've only heard the other merchants complain that the roads are unsafe. I don't export my wares though, and I have had little time to leave the forge since House Blackfort arrived."

"Lord Belric has already charged men with finding the bandits," She assures him.
"I am glad we could come to these agreements, I hope we can all work together to better the place. Thank you for agreeing , Jaime, I am very grateful. I will look to set a date for the first meeting and will let you know."

Belric paced slightly, his steps slow and deliberate. A single hand ran lines through his his hair as he thought through Jamie's words. "So far it is all rumors then." He looked up, an idea finally forming in his head. "I would like to arrange a meeting with these merchants, and lean where on the road they are running into danger. Can you name some of these men so I can seek them out?"

"They're going to tell you that they are avoiding travelling round the clay pit." Saesha pointed out to him, to try and save her husband some time, "I have already told your sister to aim her search there.
(OOC: I know I haven't told Dacey that yet, but I am about to in the other thread)

Jaime suggested the names of several businesses that will later agree with Saesha's own sources. "And I will join this meeting whenever it is called."

"Now we are all agreed, and it has been decided, would you like to get on with the other task I imagined you came here to do?" She asked, looking at the Charcoal and paper.
"Darling, I found some armour, Jaime has kindly agreed to turn it into a new set for me, so he us going to take my measurements," she said it fairly matter of factly, to a woman who grew up in relative luxury, having your measurements taken was just par for the course.

Jaime coughed and looked down at the table a brief moment, before stating, "Indeed... My lord." This was presumably much less awkward for the unmarried Lady Lothston when she had her own armor crafted.

Belric gave both Saesha and Jamie a peculiar look. A woman in armor was not unheard of, just extremely uncommon. Though the idea of seeing his wife in a battle ready suit of form fitting steel was quite intriguing.
"I suppose a dragon needs her scales." said Belric, his expression flat.

Saesha had been in a war for five years. She had had armour before, obviously, she wasn't some camp follower.
"Yes, indeed." she had not been asking for his permission, only informing him like she would of her plans just as a courtesy.
She nodded to Jaime and stood in a position in which she had previously when being measured, "I should like to think I will not have a cause to wear it."

In a perfectly professional manner, he produced a measuring tape and began measuring her figure starting with her height, and working his way through her limbs. The smith of Harrentown carefully directed his liege's wife into various angles, while his strong hands barely grazed her silk covered body.

Since her husband was not going to answer,Saesha moved as directed until the Smith had finished. "Thank you," she smiled at the smith, "I a so very glad you've agreed to join. The town and we could not ask for a better representative."
