A large stone quad that sits outside the Great Hall, where the knights of Riverrun train. It sits in the center of the keep.

After leaving the Great Hall, Belric beckoned Yoren to join him at his side. Leaning in, he spoke softly. "See that the men get settled. Have them sleep in shifts. We are not out of the woods yet."

"I figured that much out at least..." Yoren said softly as well as he looked back towards the keep, "Things seem strange...I don't like it too much." He said simply as he looked back towards Belric. "I'll have the men get ready for this night. It may be a long one."

"I am glad it is not just me." Belric gave Yoren a strong pat on the back. "We did not receive that show of force for nothing. They want us to feel outnumber, and we would be smart to act as such. I do not feel the danger lies with Medgar, it is his brother that worries me."

"His brother? I'll keep that in mind..." He said with a nod as he gave it a bit of thought, "Belric...what about Violet?" He asked, remembering the stunt she'd done asking for bread and salt. He would have liked some himself, but if Belric hadn't gone for it, he took it to mean that was a bad move to do. "She might need more protection then most."

Belric smiled, if only inwardly. "I suppose she does. Though she has a knack for dealing with nobility that I cannot deny. In truth, the women are our best hope." Belric did not think that was such a bad thing, nor did he intent it to be interpreted that way. With any luck, Saesha and Violet would find a way to get them home in one piece. Belric sweated at the thought of having to fight his way out of Riverrun. "Do well to keep an eye on her, but she needs to be seen. I cannot simply lock her up for her own protection if I plan to see her married."
With a wave of his hand, Belric called for Benjen to join them, whom he saw standing nearby.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure she stays safe." Yoren said with a nod of his head, having his orders as he set forth to get the troops together and give them their orders for the night. Rotational shifts wouldn't be that hard to do, he was sure he could handle that.

Benjen had indeed been nearby, leaning against a stone pillar, looking around at Riverrun and all its Reds. At Belric's gesture, Ben walked over to him. "Whatd'ya need, Chief?" Ben asked.

"Thank you Yoren," he said with a pat on the shoulder. "I fear that your talents are waisted guarding me now, but it gives me comfort to have you here."
When Benjen approached, Belric took him under his arm. "See if you can't uncover a few of this fortress's secrets. The knowledge may prove useful down the road. You were quite good at finding your way into places you wern't invited, if memory suits me. Your time in Dorne hasn't ruined your talents I hope."

+++++++++++ 10th day of the 3rd moon
Yoren was in the courtyard, doing his morning exercises as he swung his hammer in his plate armor, making sure to keep his body nice and limber for the day to come, and to work off the food that he'd eaten at the feast. He didn't want to ruin his figure after all.

He noticed at least a dozen knights in the yard bearing the Tully trout on their surcoats, sparring with one another and occasionally working with the guardsmen to hone their skills. Ser Torren put a few on their back, before sharing a few whispers and a derisive laugh and making his way over.
"Your one of the trai- Blackfort's knight's aren't you?" he asked, putting an inflection on the title that seemed to imply he was somehow less of one. "I was just remarking on the irony that we spent 5 years keeping armed Blacks from within these walls and today one flails his weapon about within them without a care in the world."

"Aye. I'm one of belrics knights..." Yoren said as he heaved another swing of his hammer, finishing the swing as he rolled his shoulder a bit and set down the maul on its head, "Names Yoren. Good to meet ya..." He said, giving a friendly smile as he gave a nod to Torren. Hearing his comment gave him pause a she looked up towards the sky a bit, looking deep in thought before he shook his head in agreement.
"It is kinda funny, innit? Used to be just a smallfolk from Donnelwood 'fore the war. Now here I am, a knight, practicing to fullfill his duty of keepin his lord safe. Probably woulda never set foot in this place before it...funny that." He said, not seeming to take Torren's words for what they were as he just kept up his good natures smile to the man.

"I never said it was funny," Torren replied sharply, though a few of the Riverrun knights did laugh, remarking that the Blackfort knights were as dumb as their common lord. "Shall we see how you keep your lord safe, knight?" he inquired, one of the knights offering him a training hammer.

Yoren raised a brow at the offer, before he smiled and nodded, "Sure. Sounds like a good way to really get the blood flowing..." He said as he looked to the knight offering the hammer. He took a firm grip of it and gave a nod to the man, "Thanks, Mate."

"It does," Torren replied, cracking his neck and holding a two handed sword in ready position. "Whenever you are ready then."
