"Ah, and what a castle it is. Cavernous halls and ruined towers, ghosts and draughts, ruinous to heat, impossible to garrison ... and there’s that small matter of a curse."
It is believed by many that Harrenhal is cursed and haunted due to Harren's hubris and the horrors that have occurred within the castle's walls. Harren allegedly mixed human blood into the mortar for the stonework. The curse is thought to prevent any lord from holding Harrenhal indefinitely. Harrenhal's reputation for a curse may be justified. Every house who has held Harrenhal has eventually come to bad ends. The Hoares were roasted alive by dragonfire, Qoherys slain by Harren the Red, Horroways executed by Maegor the Cruel, Towers died out, Strongs made extinct by Harren Stark, and Lothsons eradicated by their own bannermen. Now, there is you.
To implement the infamous Curse into game mechanics, I will be bringing back the infamous Coin of Doom. At certain points, such as pregnancies, woundings, or just simple whim; I will flip it. Heads, nothing happens. Tails, some strange and unfortunate development takes place. I will roll 1-100 to determine the degree of this effect. It could result in festering wounds, permanent injuries, amputations, birth defects, or even death. Good luck.
