Once they let the other races in it has been straight down hill for paladins.
I mean they aren't even LG any more.

Racial intermingling fucked up our moral values. Now we don't even have real law and order. Once upon a time, a man's alignment meant something!! Now we're allowed to just backslide and earn experience just for showing up!
*Starts an Alternative Lawful Good Adventuring Party to address the situation*

I do just do Party experience so that is true. Some of you will just show up and get experience.

Point buy is pretty simple. You start with 8 in every stat and 27 points to spend. The max you can raise anything to is 15 before taking into account your racial bonus, though anything over 12 costs 2 points each time you raise is after that. So it's 4 points to get you from 8 to 12 but 6 points to get you from 12 to 15. My warlock is:
STR: 8 DEX: 14 CON: 15 (after +1 from racial bonus) INT: 10 WIS: 10 CHA: 16 (after +1 from racial bonus)

Going elf (probably high) and toying with ranger or fighter.

That seems fine Zack. You can use that method or let me roll you a pool for your ability scores.
I generally allow a one time 2 for 1 exchange at character creation. So if you wanted to take points from your lowest ability you can add it to your highest.
What kind of variant human are you?

I have a Dark Elf Draconic (<-wonder why?) Sorcerer STR: 10 DEX: 15 (after +2 from racial bonus) CON: 11 INT: 14 (after +1 from racial bonus) WIS: 13 CHA: 14
Probably going to reroll it to some extent as I tinker. First attempt.

Looks like I am going to have to make a website for this I guess. Just need to think of a name. Do you think Smith's Dungeons and Dragons game is taken?
And Yeah I am starting you all at first level.

Sorry it's not an actual race. There are just two human options in the book. One starts with +1 to all skill proficiencies and the other starts with a feat. I took the one with the feat.

Switching to a frontline rogue type, as we already have plenty of casting power. Will post stats soon.

You can hold off until we are ready to go. I mean if a couple more join and make paladins and clerics you won't have to worry about it.
And I have had an all rogue campaign and an all warrior campaign so it would be interesting to have an all caster campaign.
I never worry about party balance. I can either fill with NPCs or you guys will just have to buy a lot of healing potions.
