Dacey arrived at the show, Unkindness in hand and clad in her everyday clothes. She drew her cloak around her and inspected the woods while she waited for the event to start.

Dacey greeted her cousin with a nod and gave her half a smile. "Nothing's written in stone," she said. "May the best win."

Ser Willem stood garbed in a simple tunic, blade at his side. He had always been useless with a bow but enjoyed watching competitions such as this greatly. He glanced around seeing if there were any present willing to place some coin on the outcome.

Nodding,"True, true... Maybe the Gods will smile on me in this event today?"
"Seeing as I'm a prize to a stranger after the tourney."

He glanced around seeing if there were any present willing to place some coin on the outcome. After a few minutes, Violet approached. She was dressed in deep red trimmed with black fur, in concession to the cold weather. "Ser Willem," she greeted him, cordially. The two of them were not well acquainted, after all. "Are you looking forward to the events? I'm no judge of skill but I have never yet attended a tourney. And even I can tell when an arrow hits the target."

"Perhaps," said Dacey, and realized how little she actually knew about her cousin. "Do you follow the Old Gods or the new?" she inquired, and processed Aelison's other statement. "Is Belric marrying you off?" she wondered after a moment.

"The Old", she shrugged,"seems they do and know a hell of lot more the Seven."
Looking at Davey, she was surprised almost that she didn't know,"Yes", she replied flatly. "But it was to be expected, sooner or later."

Willem was surprised to be joined by violet but he was not one to reject company, especially that of one of better blood. "Lady Violet, I must confess I am surprised to see you here." Willem commented. "You needn't worry, between us I've never seen a tourney either. I am very much looking forward to it!"

Willem commented. "You needn't worry, between us I've never seen a tourney either. I am very much looking forward to it!" She favoured him with a warm smile. "Oh, well, I thought I would take the chance to stretch my legs and speak to some of our family members before the eyes of the high lords and ladies fall upon me," she replied. "Are you competing in any of the events?"

"Both melees, my lady." Willem replied. Not really having anything more to say on that topic, he turned the conversation elsewhere. "It looks as if Lady Dacey is competing. You know her better than I. Do you fancy her chances?"

"Yes, I think she'll do well. Dacey was always good at martial things," Violet murmured. "And especially with the bow. I hope she wins."

"Yes, it would certainly be good to keep Lord Belric's gold in the house." Willem replied. "Although I can't imagine what Lady Dacey would do with the winnings. She has never struck me as someone who enjoys fancy things."

"She could buy more weapons," Violet pointed out. "Better armour, that sort of thing. Maybe a fine horse, even. Dacey would value those things as much as anyone else does."
