"A boat? Why'd ya not say somethin' Soon'a?" Bandy asked the man, shaking his head as he looked to Donal, "Seein as we're tryin ta be all civil like, I'm putting forth that Donal leads, till we get da fuck outta 'ere. 'Den we can vote on whoever takes Longinch place. Sound like a plan?"

"Agreed." replied Alyn. He looked to Donal. "Looks like you're it."
He glanced around. "We're safer together rather than wandering around these parts alone. I don't care where we go, as long as it's out of here. You decide where and how."
He grasped his horse's reins and swung himself up into its saddle.

Harlan stood there, jaw slack, as he searched for the words. In a thousand lifetimes, he never would have guessed this group would be so gosh darn diplomatic. “Stick me in a barrel and send me to braavos. You lot could teach the lords of these lands a thing about cooperation.” He slapped his leg in exaltation, a genuine smile stretching across his face.
“As you know, I’ve been a member of this lawless conglomerate the longest. As such, Longinch trusted me with his life, and with our wealth. Seeing as how he’s dead and you all have taken to democracy to solve your struggles, I’m going to propose something. We can all run from this village, chased out with our tails between our legs... or we can burn this mill to the ground, create a diversion, and pull one last job.” Harlan had a devilish look in his eyes, one of mischief mixed with opportunity. He made sure to meet Pete’s eyes when he mentioned starting a fire.
“A particularly fat farmer sits on a hefty stash of stolen gold not far from here. Longinch was planning on easing his burden before he met the Stranger this morning. I say we send our old boss into the afterlife with a celebration. A celebration of us getting rich.”

Daven looks down from his perch in the trees his interest suddenly piqued. "I can get behind the easing of a fat farmer's horde before we make our escape from this area. We might not want to go in full force though if the damned nobles are having their servant fucks search for us in force."

"So one man atta farm. You sure this fat cunts got what we're looking for?" Bandy asked, shifting his jaw inside of his mouth as he heard the usual pop inside his head.
During his tangle with the wolf he'd landed cheek first hard on a rock. Ever since, he'd had a hard time forming words quite the way he'd want then to be.
"Not exactly a good omen for de man plannin dis to go losin his neck the day of." Bandy voiced. He'd no problem burning this place to escape, but he wanted to make sure this score was gonna be legit.

Donal appeared to be delighted to have been affirmed as leader by both Alyn and Bandy, even if the term was for now a temporary one. He allowed Harlan to make his proposal without intervening and responded after Daven and Bandy. "We'll discuss your idea in a moment." He told Harlan. "Daven, Pete, and Barley, go keep an eye out on the path. If anyone comes looking for us either shoot them or distract them by starting a fire." He said with a pointed look at Pete, hoping this might dissuade the man from beating him up in the future.
Then he turned to Tim, figuring they ought to know more about this boat. "Tim, how large was this boat? Can it fit all of us and the horses?"

It was obvious to Tim that the small boat could not hold ten people and three horses. It was more likely four people would have to leave by horse while the other six took the boat.

Harlan was happy to be back under someone’s thumb. Despite having quite a bit more to say about the farm job, he kept his mouth shut and took a supportive step next to Donal.

"I'll ride." volunteered Alyn, who disliked water any deeper than what he could comfortably bathe in. "Those of us who have mounts should use them and let the others have the boat." He glanced at Bandy and Vex.

Vex, having been patrolling outdoors since she'd left Barley, Harlan and Tim in Longinch's room and gathered her few meagre possessions from the building, rode back to the mill's entrance once it was clear no one was for some bizarre reason moving from it. She took a bite of an half-eaten apple and studied the bunch while chewing, taking in the last bits of the conversation.
"The fuck are you all still standing around for?" she wondered aloud, her dark eye moving from the group to the mill behind them. "If there's a boat..." her eye stopped at Pete and his torch, "then light it up and let's fuck off."
"We'll fit the rest on horses," she said, and nudged her palfrey over to Barley. "Did you take the papers?" she asked her once she'd gotten close, squinting her eye a little due to the sun.

Barley looked at Vex and shook her head, “no, I don’t, I left them in the chest,” she said to the only other woman in the group.

Donal listened to Alyn and nodded. "Tim, go ready the boat for leaving and load it with supplies. Vex can help you." He said, passing Tum the rope and hammer he was still carrying. He didn't like Vex trying to give people instructions what with him being in charge so this seemed a good chance to put a halt to that.
"So Harlan," he said turning to the man beside him. "Do you know anymore about this man with the gold? Does he have family? And where'd he steal it from?"

The last thing Tim wanted was to get in the way of an argument between Donal and Vex so he accepted the rope and hammer on top of the other items he'd decided to carry with him and then called to Vex "I'll meet you in the cellars."
"Anyone else want to help with the boat?" He asked the group at large, then, laden with items, headed down into the cellar to find the secret entrance and the boat. One he found the boat, he dumped his belongings in, alongside the rope and hammer, and began preparing the boat for departure. He decided that he would remain with the boat until he heard people coming, and then he would show the others where it was.

Vex heard her name mentioned in a sentence, as well as Tim calling something, and looked at the both of them, raising the eyebrow that wasn't entirely covered by the piece of cloth she wore around her head, though as she did so, it did briefly disappear under the fabric. She figured she'd possibly missed something by not being there the last ten minutes, but Tim himself had just said it wasn't a big boat and therefore would not fit any horses. Why send her there?
"Do I look like your maid? Go ready it yourself. I have a horse," she told the boy, gesturing to her well-stocked (or as well as could be under the circumstances) horse before turning back to Barley.
