Vex, from the corner of her eye, might've noticed Donal getting cut, but kept poking her spear at the man they'd all ganged up on, though perhaps slightly less enthusiastically now that there were four stab-happy people huddled around him.

While father and son terrorize the helpless bandits, Barley tends to Daven's wounds as ably as she can.
(Daven is now at a lower -50.)

After Daven is bandaged up, he picks up his bow and gives it a test pull to see if he would tear anything in his already damage arm. Seeing that he would be fine aside from the shearing pain shooting up his shoulder, he decides to provide some more chaos into the farm battle.
Trying to ignore the pain in his arm and leg Daven nocks an arrow and breathing slowly aims it at the son Fenton.

Vex's leg keeps her from steering the horse as ably as she needs to and Alyn, used to leather finds the heavy plate slows him down much more on foot than he expected. Only Tim manages to keep up with Fenton, pursuing him with spear as though this were one of Lord Blackwood's many boar hunts. The farmer, far from a water dancer, manages to dodge their attacks for a surprisingly long time. He sweats harder than any pig his family might have ever owned, but still, his father would be proud if he could watch him. He even manages to consciously dodge one of Daven's arrows. He grins and barks at his quarry, a madman in his prime, a champion of the eternal hunt...
...until Harlan appears out of the darkness and stabs him repeatedly in the back like a common footpad preying on whores in Flea Bottom. Tim doesn't even see the other bandit at first, nearly skewering him too when his spear finds Fenton's throat.
The boy, barely a man yet but already a beast, just stares at Tim like a confused and wounded animal in the few seconds it takes the oxygen to abandon his brain altogether.
(+2 to both Harlan and Tim for their respective weapons. Do not run off and join the other fight until I post the next round of it.)

Donal finds himself more concerned with simply staying alive and trying to stay on his horse. Bael's halberd robs him of any advantage the bandit thought he had on horseback, and eventually the old man hooks him like a flounder and drags him to the ground. It's hard to tell what hurts more, the impact of the landing itself or the feeling as Bael's curved blade rips into his flesh again. He manages to get up in time to see his horse fleeing and his enemy approaching.
(Donal is separated from his horse and takes another Medium Wound, placing him at -60.)

Seeing Fenton fall to Tim and Harlan, Alyn looked around wildly to see if any of their foes remained. He could see Vex on her horse and he assumed that the arrow that had flown by, had been from Daven.
He thought fleetingly of his horse which must be by now panicked at the sound of the fighting and the smell of blood. As far as Alyn Redhands could be fond of another living thing, he was fond of that horse, a reminder of his missing - most likely dead - eldest brother and maybe his only remaining tie to his family.
He could see Donal and a large bald man fighting closer to the farmhouse. From the looks of it Donal was coming out of it by far the worse.
Redhands gripped his blade tightly. He saw Harlan moving into the darkness. While Alyn didn't know if he was running away or seeking to surprise the farmer and by doing so help Donal he determined that wasn't a bad strategy.
Alyn moved on foot into the darkness circling the combat between Donal and Bael, looking to come out behind Bael and take him by surprise, especially as he was distracted by Donal.

Donal had never felt such pain. Who was this fat farmer fighting as if the Warrior himself possessed him? It didn't matter. Warrior or not, Donal was the last champion of House Beake and he would not die in the dirt on some godsforsaken farm. His destiny was for something greater, this he knew. He raised his shield and took a step back as Bael approached him. Having been the aggressor had served him poorly thus far. Perhaps he could goad Bael into making a mistake in one of his attacks and catch him with a well placed counter. "When I'm done with you, I'm going to let my comrade Harlan rape your son's corpse before I set him loose on your wife." Donal said through gritted teeth, hoping to incite Bael into losing his composure. (Taunt/Incite 22)

Harlan, completely soaked in blood, returned to the darkness like a wraith. Having dispatched another victim, he fled to help Donal. With any luck, he could give it to Old Man Bael the same way he gave it to his sons.

As Donal spews his venom, the old farmer drops the halberd and switches to the warhammer hanging around his shoulders. He is not especially fast and and his old soldier's arm not noticeably quick, but he never flinches and never misses. Donal makes a valiant swing with his sword, but Bael parries with his warhammer, striking Donal's arm and breaking it in half. The rest of the party, most of whom are exhausted from killing Fenton, can hear Donal scream from this blow and the many following it. None of them hear the words Bael himself says, and neither quite does Donal himself. He is in too much agony as the old farmer wreaks the vengeance of a thousand angry smallfolk on every limb of his body, saving his head for last. The bandit is vaguely aware of the old man's lips moving, but it is like a nightmare where the words are almost completely meaningless. All Donal knows in his last few momemts of life are fear, blood, and pain.
( No Observation roll required to find Bael.)

Daven looks towards the place where the screaming is coming from and moves along the edge of the forest to see if he can get a better view of the man before aiming an arrow at him and letting it loose.

Observation 59 (Success) She easily finds Alyn's warhorse, along with what must be the family's mare and... Donal's? Yes, his former steed was sprinting back towards the river, no doubt disturbed by its former owner's cries of agony.

Tim saw Donal fall to the ground, saw the farmer beating Donal with his great warhammer. He had been angry with Donal, earlier, but the man had been a comrade, and the sight of Bael bashing him up roused Tim's temper, though he retained enough sense not to go charging in recklessly. Instead, he attempted to circle around while the farmer was occupied with Donal's mutilated body, hoping to stab him in the back from behind.

For lack of a better option, Vex took off the piece of cloth she wore around her head and tied it around her thigh in an attempt to stop the bleeding, keeping her ears pricked and her eye out for potential attackers anywhere near her.

In the deep night, Old Man Bael seems to vanish altogether. Harlan stalks through the tall, dead grass in search of his target, but only can hear the mad giant's words over and over.
I eat knights. I eat knights. I eat knights.
Tim finds what might be Donal's corpse first. His head is severed entirely. It isn't until he finds the nearby head that he realizes the body belongs to the other brother. His face is contorted into an unmoving, howling expression, eyes forever turned upwards to some uncaring god.
Alyn finds the actual corpse of his companion. He thinks. Literally the only defining feature he can recognize is the unused bow and quiver on his back. The rest is a putrid mush covered with remains of his chaimail armor and what might be strands of his auburn hair.
It's a long hunt in the grass before Bael finally appears. Harlan literally trips over the dead man, but doesn't immediately see Daven's arrow in his jugular. Merely the hateful stare of a man who died with nothing to love to leave behind in a world that had done nothing but take.
(+2 to Daven's bow.)
