Character History:
Violet was born in Lord Harroway's Town to Ser Bruce Blackfort, the Knight of the Black Gate, and his wife, Diane. As a little girl she played with the other local children while her mother taught her something of household duties such as sewing and cookery. However, her mother soon began to worry about the difficulty of finding husbands for all three daughters. Since Violet had an engaging personality and was quick to learn, her parents had no trouble convincing the motherhouse of Bechester to take the eleven year old girl as a novice.
At f irst Violet loved her time at the motherhouse. She was away from home, she had other girls to play with and she was taught to read. As time passed, she learned her lessons well but fell into company with a group of older, wilder girls, some of whom had been fostered at the motherhouse for educational purposes before marriage. These girls introduced her to risque songs and hinted that her life might be more than service and scholarship. The girls indulged in secret midnight feasts, played pranks on their tutors and even, to Violet's shocked delight, boasted of the boys they'd kissed on their rare outings outside the motherhouse. It was then, aged fourteen, that she began to doubt her future. In the next two years she experienced a few stolen kisses of her own.
By the time of Violet's sixteenth nameday, her older friends had already departed the motherhouse and the chief Septa was putting pressure on Violet to take her final vows. By this time, however, Violet had become passionately jealous of the fine gowns worn by visiting ladies seeking sanctuary, or dropping off their daughter for tuition or a life among the godsworn. She had grown curious about men too, and her brother's heroics during the war made her believe that she might be able to catch herself a noble husband. After procrastinating a little while, she returned to the family home in Lord Harroway's Town where she began at once to lord it over the locals. When her brother was granted the lordship of Harrenhal, it felt like all her namedays had come at once.
Violet is now on the bring of marrying Lord Roote of Harroway's Town. She owns the Valyrian Steel dagger, Sorrow, a "gift" from a certain mysterious knight she encountered in company with her brother Edmure when he was sentenced to the Wall. Violet killed Edmure with the dagger in order to save her own life.
Reputation: Known mostly as the girl who was sent to the Faith but returned as a woman grown filled with airs and graces. Her exaggerated accent is famous in Harroway's Town.
Boon:
Dancing Queen, Young and Sweet, Only Seventeen-Violet gains +10 to all social rolls against unwed male nobles and a +5% to fertility. In addition, due to her writing proficiency and social graces, she may attempt social rolls via letters which are rolled at half the social skill+half her writing skill. (So a seductive letter would be rolled at 45 skill)
Curse:
Forgot The Shitbucket She Crawled Out Of-Due to Violet's newly acquired noble mannerisms, she starts two disposition levels lower with individuals of lower status than her and suffers -10 to all social rolls against them
Bloodline Trait: None
