Character History: Yoren was born in the village of Donnelwood, a quiet village in the riverlands. The son of a blacksmith and the local tavern girl, Yoren was raised as best as his commoner parents could. He didn't take well to either trade, being too big and clumsy for serving drinks and having a lack of instincts when it came to working a forge. While he never learned to read, Yoren's eyes were exceptionally good, able to recall things and draw them to paper exceedingly well. He was a good help to the local town, his size and strength making him useful to lug things around, and his unusual abilities to draw making him able to make drawings of people who plagued the town, making coin for his family in making wanted posters. When the blackfyre's declared war, Yoren initially didn't want to get involved, but his belric from Harroway's town convinced him to march with them, not being able to say no to his friend. He fought at the battle of redgrass, using his heavy hammer to deal a number of death blows until the final order came to withdraw. When war came to the riverlands, Yoren took up to fighting with the rest of his village, defending his home from harm.

Through the war, Yoren proved himself well as a combatant, defending his town from raiders and raiding their camps whenever he could, acting as an unintentional terror to the Targaryen loyalists as he kept them from coming to his town. When he found out the names of those who opposed to the soldiers and petty lords squabbling forces, he listened to his parents urging to swear himself to their service. He fought alongside the forces, proving himself a slow yet handy combatant, and with a knack for scouting and exploring terrain. After the fighting, Yoren was knighted, and continued his service to the Lord of Darry, always making sure to set aside whatever he made for his family back in Donnelwood. Yet knighthood came with new obstacles, and soon Yoren found himself marching with others against the Darry's foes, eventually finding himself marching against Riverrun itself as he scouted out the area, finding vulnerable spots and drawing a map for the others to use to fight. The fighting was intense, and during the fight Yoren took an axe to the head, his helmet saving his life as he fell into a deep sleep for 3 days straight, waking after the battle and returning back to his home in Donnelwood.

Yoren's actions during the war affected him on a deep level, it made him comfortable with fighting, and with conflict. A shy boy at the start of the war, Yoren eventually became more outspoken and he had a desire for his passion for painting to be allowed to flourish more then it was in the small town. Eventually, he left his village to seek out a place he felt he could better belong now, searching for a place where he could fight, and he could preform his arts, and be appreciated doing so.

Character History: Ravella was a bastard daughter of the Corbray family, the younger cousin of Gwayne Corbray who formerly served the house as a lady in waiting. Ravella however felt more drawn towards more masculine pursuits, specifically anything involving nature and hunting. Her bastard status made her pretty much useless for most uses for a daughter to the Corbray's, it would be an insult to offer her hand to any proper lord for marriage after all, and she wasn't good enough at cooking or cleaning, nor could she be sent to be a maester. The options were she be put to use in something, or she be sent to join the silent sisters, as the sept would never allow a bastard to gain a position of power, not even as a septa. Fortunately, Ravella inherited some of her families martial talents, enough to become a good huntress and serve as a master of hunt for the noble family.

She and Gwayne had a distant but amicable relationship growing up, Ravella accepting her place as a servant of the family, gracious to be alive, and would often offer her help to her brother in any matter he'd needed. Gwayne, while perhaps not fully having a sibling love for his half-cousin, did once protect her from some bullies in her youth, and once even showed her how to properly handle a weapon. When he left for his duty to the kingsguard, Ravella felt alone in Heart's Home, often going out to serve as both hunter and guide up the rocky pass for others. She longed to do more then simply hunt, wanting to fight like her cousin, like her half-brothers, and to bring some honor and prove her worthiness. To do that, she disguised herself as a man, binding her chest and dawning armor, marching with the forces marshaled by the Arryn's to the battle of Redgrass.

It was at this battle that Ravella had her first taste of warfare, witnessing the brutality of open combat and managing to survive the bloodshed physically unscathed, but no longer having such fantasies about what it was like. During the battle however, she witnessed the battle between Daemon and Gwayne, unable to help him due to defending herself in the conflict, but also saw her brother wounded, and the leader of the blackfyre's sparing his life. The battle lost, and bloodraven slain on the hill, it didn't take much for Ravella to realize what had almost occurred. The vale's armies smashed, many choose to run, and those who stayed behind were taken prisoner. Ravella choose to run instead, and her faith in the vale and the targaryen rulers was broken. For how could she hate the person who'd spared Gwayne's life, and the man who would have killed them in such a dishonorable way?

Ravella spent time licking her wounds mentally, and training herself up physically, to be a better fighter. She spent some years trying to figure out what she would do, who she was, not that she was no longer in the vale. She hunted, she fought, and if anyone caused trouble for the small towns she spent time in, they found themselves on the reciving end of her hunts. During this time, out to do one of her hunts, Ravella stumbled upon the future king and her future lord, the forces hiding out from the targaryen forces. Feeling indebted to them for their deeds at redgrass, Ravella left them half of her catch for the day, willing to turn a blind eye to having discovered them. This act of kindness sent her along the path of fighting the targaryen's in full force as a rebel against them. Ravella would go on to help a small band of warriors in their fight, first in the riverlands, and then to the crownlands. When the fighting finally ceased, Ravella went her seperate way from the merry band, seeking a new place to belong, and hearing of an opening in Harrenhal for her set of skills.

Reputation: Ravella Stone earned a name during the Blackfyre Wars as a hunter of men, and had a habit of making some gruesome displays as a means of psychological warfare, usually involving leaving their heads in town squares in the dead of night.
