Character History:
Nyles Blackfort is the youngest sibling of the Blackfort family, and as such has spent a good portion of his memory at war of some sort. When he was nine the skirmishing began, and as his brothers rushed off to war the boy sat at home with his sisters, counting the days and watching as reports of fight after fight were brought home. He grew fairly close to all his elder sisters given their proximity but finally he had enough.
The boy rushed to join the army as it gathered for the Redgrass Field and ran water to and from the front lines as the battle raged and the Blackfort name was made. The King eventually took him on as a page and he roamed to and fro, witnessing siege after siege and watching as hundreds of men died. His small size made him an ideal messenger and spy, and twice he entered King's Landing as a boy to get troop estimates. The constant violence did much to numb him to the value of life, and while his brothers all seemed to enjoy the clash of swords and the screams of dying men, the boy only saw futility.
As the army takes King's Landing and Nyles sees his eldest brother rewarded beyond any man's imagination; a large castle, pretty wife, and more, he looks about the hollow eyes of the men about him and then furtively awaits the coming onslaught, no longer of steel and fire and starvation, but now one of whispers and smiles and no less deadly poisons of friendship.
Physical Description: Nyles is average height, average weight, brown haired, and brown eyed. Some ladies find his long curly brown hair to be handsome, but for the most part his is a face that can be forgotten upon seeing it.
Reputation: Nyles is a bit of a poor fit among the perfumed lords and ladies of Westeros, and his hickish ways may amuse many, but he is quiet and earnest and determined, if haunted.
Boon:
Trained by the Best-Squiring for one of the greatest swordsman Westeros has ever known and being surrounded in the training yard by arguably the greatest Kingsguard in history has its benefits. When Nyles would gain +1 in any weapon skill, he gains +2 instead. He also gains stacking +1 to fighting rolls each round during combat.
Curse:
A Mouse Among Vipers-NPCs Can Use Social Rolls Against Nyles
Bloodline Trait: None
+4 Unarmed for fighting while cheating at dice, +2 Small Blades/Swords for Great Sept fight
+1 Observation Great Sept, +1 Streets
Slain in King's Landing by Benjy Blue Eyes.
