i have plans for the long weekend, so my activity will be sporadic until Monday night. If anyone has any questions before game start, shoot me a PM or ask my co-admin Astro (The Raven). Have a great weekend folks and be prepared to kick this shitshow off on Tuesday.

Are we allowed to do pre-rp over the weekend?

The game opens on the wedding which takes place like 2 days after the end of the war, the day after Daemon's coronation. So I'm not sure what pre-rp would be available that would have everyone together, not necessitate the admins, or not force the exclusion of certain PCs like Smith and Sour.

Never mind then. Just a random thought.

I mean if you folks want to establish relationships and build a rapport over the next couple days through pre-rp, you're welcome to. Just know they'll be no rolls, NPCs, seconds, ect. It will be just to establish family relationships. Can do a camp scene with the whole family on the way to KL for the wedding.
Also as a note, except for Joanna's sworn sword, there will be no seconds until the firsts have all arrived at Harrenhal and gotten things in order there.

I vote that Belric starts the thread.

Because of the nature of the thread it should only be firsts participating, namely the the Blackforts themselves, as I don't want Saesha and Belric to meet until their wedding day. So this should just be the Blackfort vets establishing their relationships to one anothe and us exploring their relationships and characterization before wealth, power, and curse induced madness worm their way in. We can also say Belric sent word to Lord Harroway's town about his impending nuptials and lordship so the members of the family that didn't participate in the war can start showing up to the Blackfort siege camp to congratulate/begin mooching off him.
You will only be playing your firsts until Raven and I tell you otherwise, with seconds being introduced and "hired" when we feel it's a natural time to do so. The exception to this will be Joanna's sworn sword to the Lady in Waiting, who can be present from the start.
Also keep in mind that Belric will not receive his Lordship until he says his wedding vows, as it's technically his dowry, so this is everyone's one chance to call him Ser Belric without it being an insult.
I also just realized we're still in the LOA thread. I blame Marie.

Friendly reminder. The war lasted five years, Redgrass was four years ago, and you've probably spent that time being chased all over Westeros by Lord Petyr Baratheon's much bigger army occasionally assisted by Dorne's crazy badass archer cavalry and spear ninjas. Disease and starvation have been your lot for a long time now, you have lost more battles than won, the Stornmlanders only went home because Petyr died of the flux, and this is your third time standing outside KL in the cold while nobles argue about things way above your station.

But you won...so enjoy the sweet brief taste of victory while you can.

Does it make sense for non-combatants to be at the siege? Not sure why Violet would be there so I may have shot myself in the foot with my query!

I addressed this earlier if you'd read. We're saying Belric sent word to the rest of his family at Lord Harroway's Town of the victory as well as his impending lordship and nuptials at KL. So the non-combatants can arrive and find the Blackfort camp at the siege camp. The maester can even arrive looking for his new assigned family. The only first that shouldn't be present is Saesha. Sorry Sour!

There's no point in getting crowned if people aren't there to witness it.
