Percival slid back annoyed that he was forced to turn his head back and forth as they spoke. He stepped back against the book shelf. He decided to let them speak, and he would just listen intently. His compassion grew for this poor woman condemned to the same hopeless life that he had been sentenced. There seemed to finally be a brain associated with the name Blackfort.

She'd spent five years fighting to get back into her home and was being sent away from it three days later, this was hardly a comparable situation.
"One can never have too many friends, Violet." she dropped the title to seem more familiar, " Thank you for your concern, but I will weather it just fine. I am very close with my family though, and I will miss them. But I was wondering if you could help me with something?"

"I would be happy to help you, if I can," Violet answered promptly, though not quite sure what a lady as beautiful and, presumably, as accomplished as Saesha, would need her help for.

"There is a man in the keep, master of Coins, Lord Butterwell, your sister Dacey greatly offended him, right or wrong, he's not one we should want against us." She said smiling, "do you think you could try to run into him, let him know that most members of his Leigh family are not going to attack him with knives?" She asked. If violet did well, she knew she'd find infinite uses for her aid. Likely take her on their vassal visit with her and Belric.

Violet thought for a moment. "I saw him at the feast but I haven't spoken to him. I would be glad to speak to him, though I hope his mind is not already made up. May I ask what Dacey said to this man? Surely she didn't actually draw a knife of him?"

"She stabbed him in the hand," Saesha said, thoughnit barely constituted such, "it would be better if you coul try to just run into him. "

Violet gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. "Gods be good! I know some of my relatives are uncouth, but..." Words failed her for a moment. "I will try my best, I promise. I cannot believe that Dacey could do such a thing!"

"It's barely a scratch, but that eRth of the wound is not an issue. I have already spoken to him, but that is different than a member of your family doing so," she said, "I think it would be better if you didn't mention to mark, I don't want him to think you had s motive for running into him."

"I'm sure I can feign an accidental meeting," Violet said. "That's if I don't meet his lordship by chance anyway." She smiled, trying to reassure Saesha. "I hope I can alleviate Lord Butterwell's dislike of our family."

"I hope so too. It does not do to start something on the back foot," even if they were, "thank you so much, my friend,"

Violet's smile widened. "I will let you know how I get on," she promised. "I hope all will be well for you, truly." She hugged the book to her chest as if it could protect her from the evils of the world.

Percival had snorted with barely contained laughter when he heard one the buffoons had stabbed the Master of Coins in the hand. This family would not survive a year if they kept stumbling along in this direction. He listened intently and shook his head once as he heard Violet ordered to solve this problem. Percival did not think the girl capable of solving any problems.

Every moment Nyles doesn't spend training or trying to kill traitors, he spends in the library. He's determined to have a mind to match his blade, particularly because so many problems boiling up cannot be solved by chopping off a conveniently placed head. He focuses on books about foreign lands and their ways of government.
