Fights: Skill + Random 100
1-10 = no hit
11-25 = -10 (light)
26-50 = -20 (medium)
50-99 = -35 (heavy)
100+ = dead
Training: Skill + Random 100
1-10 = no hit
11-25 = -5
26-50 = -10
51+ = -25 and fight over unless loser wishes to continue
100+ = death
Effects of armor:
Leather: +5 to weapon skill for purposes of getting hit
Chain: +5 to weapon skill for purposes of getting hit, -5 to all penalties FOR being hit (light hits are -5, mediums are -15, heavies are -30)
Plate Mail:: -10 to all penalties FOR being hit (light hits are ignored, mediums are -10, heavies are -25)
Plate Penalties:
Removes the +5 to weapon skill for purposes of getting hit from Chain (due to hampered mobility ).
-15 on all physical ability tests (except Horsemanship). Every 10 points in Strength will reduce this penalty by 1.
Better not get dunked underwater
Situational: It DOES take time to put on or take off if you're caught by surprise, you don't get to use it.
Shield: +5 to weapon skill for purposes of getting hit (stacks with armor), roll weapon skill instead of agility against ranged attacks
Off-Hand Weapon: +5 to weapon skill for purposes of getting hit (stacks with armor), +5 to weapon skill against opponents wielding two-handed weapons
Two hand weapons: Inflict -25 on a medium hit or -40 on a heavy hit, May not use a shield while wielding.
Example: Boris The Blade, Chain Mail with a sword skill of 80, fights Bryant Gumbel, no armor and 80 sword
Round 1:
Boris: 117 (122)
Bryant: 127
Result: no hit due to the +10 against being hit
Round 2:
Boris: 125
Bryant: 100
Result: Light hit on Bryant, because the +5 only counts if you are getting hit.
