Nyles, still flush with his gold from the princes' cheating scam, heads to one of the money changer offices to turn two of his eight gold into coppers and silver.

Lord Butterwell looked up from his ledgers, the rotund man practically overflowing from his chair and onto the top of his desk. His predecessor had apparently been a much smaller man. He narrowed his eyes when Nyles entered, just having caught up with the work his sister had destroyed.
"What do you want?" he snapped.

Nyles cordially hated the fat lord, soft in a time of war, but he smiled brightly. "I need some change," he said. "Was just looking for a clerk."

"Is that a responsibility you honestly think my station entails?" Ambrose inquired, putting a hand up as a clerk stood in an attempt to actually give Nyles change. The lad hurriedly sat back down. "To provide banking services for every servant, washerwoman, and layabout in this keep?"

"As I said, my lord, I was seeking a clerk. I apologize for the intrusion." Nyles did finally allow some disgust to enter his voice as the man ended with his name calling. "I'll be sure to wear more fitting clothes next time I'm here, my lord; I assure you I lay about very little."

Butterwell harumphed, clearly unconvinced, and returned to his work, waving for the clerk to take care of the squire.
The clerk exchanged the coins as requested, weighing out a purse of silver an another of copper on scales, before handing them to Nyles.

No response is ever received, though considering the first Blackfort Lord Butterwell met had stabbed him, the second had destroyed his work, and the third had annoyed him; it was safe to assume he would rather dine with a rabid direwolf while wearing a meat suit.

Alice Blackfort arrived, wearing a red coat over her dress and with her hair beautifully combed over one shoulder. She asked to speak with the Master of Coins.

Lord Butterwell looked up from his work with an exaggerated sigh.
"You had better not be here for change," he grumbled.

"Of course not, m'lord," Alice said as she stepped into the room, the door being closed behind her. The front of her coat opened a little to reveal the striking red dress she wore beneath. "I just wished to introduce myself properly to all the important people at court," She continued, walking up to his desk and curtsying very slowly, tilting her body forward which gave Butterwell a good glimpse at her cleavage. "There are few men more important than the Master of Coins, no?"

(Alice Increases 1 Disposition Level with Butterwell. Blackfort Disposition remains the same.)
His eyes went where she bid, looking down her dress in the same way he probably looked at a glazed ham.
"No man on the small council more important after a war," Lord Ambrose agreed, puffing out his chest in pride.

"Oh, my apologies; the most important," Alice said correcting herself, a small laugh escaping her. Her hand went to her mouth as she tried to hide her embarrassment. "I don't really know much about the ways of court to be perfectly honest and you seem like someone who knows a lot..." She played with a necklace that dangled in front of her breasts. "Would it be terribly forward of me to ask if I could dine with you one evening?"
