Belric fought back his surprise when Lucamore offered up a hand for the betrothal. Smiling, he put his own hand on the small of Saesha's back, trying to show stability within his own marriage despite their bickering. "It would be an honor to call you brother, and to join our families. Do you have any intention on which of my sisters you will wed? Violet has spoken of you often, the two of you are already well aquatinted are you not? She would make a fine wife, as true a lady as I have know."
Attempting to stay on task, Belric continued, "I agree we would have difficulty going against all five houses while the Lannisters back Medgar. If Lord Alyn is the answer to tipping the scales in our favor, then we have met out first obstacle. I am returning home to settle a land dispute between Piper and my own vassals. Tully has already shown great favor towards Lord Smallwood's cause, and I cannot say as to wether my brother Edmure has found a peaceful resolution yet."

Outside the tent, Violet listened in horror to Yseult's tale. When a bastard was mentioned she began to feel a little sick with horror. Torren Tully was clearly a villain of the worst order. She made up her mund to be especially kind to Yseult when they next spoke, and watched the tent for the girl's eventual appearance.

"My sister is, of course, also an option," Lucamore replied, like a wild animal backed into a corner, eager for escape from the binds of matrimony. "Though at least my marriage would silence the shrew's nagging," he added, waxing and waning on the idea. The mention of Violet was at least met with a smile. "Yes, she sent me a letter recently that I recall fondly. I am certain she would make a fine Lady of Lord Harroway's Town." "Do tread carefully," he remarked, before seeming to realize who he was talking to, turning to Saesha instead. "Do make sure he treads carefully."

"A union between your sister and one of my brothers would serve the same purpose." Belric said, nonchalantly "Edmure and Nyles are both good men, and would make fine husbands. Though, I had thought it pertinent to mention Violet incase her name held your favor. All of our siblings will likely be married off as we create this alliance of the Riverlands. I would rather you take Violets hand now, instead of regretting the missed opportunity when she is married off to some other Lord who's feelings are indifferent."
Belric smiled at Saesha before retorting, "She's kept me out of trouble thus far."

"Long may it continue." Saesha said, saying nothing of how she felt about how Belric had just acted. No sense airing their dirty laundry in front of others.
She was unhappy with her husband, for what she viewed as a foolish idea and for telling Roote the King was defenceless. Ally or not, the less people knew that the better.
"As new blood here, marriages will be the best way to establish ourself beyond our borders, but I think when we prove we can make a success of Harrenhal, more people will likely take us seriously, rather than the next head's on Harrenhal's Block." She smiled a Roote, she did like the man, and held Belric's hand in her in a show of solidarity, "I would caution everyone against moving too far too fast, when diving to the bottom of a deep pool, one should always make sure one has enough breath to resurface again, and not let ambition pull him under."

"No need to dangle the bait in front of my face old friend, I'll bite," Lord Lucamore agreed, putting his hands up in mock surrender. "Violet is a fine catch and I would be a fool not to see it."
Roote returned Saesha's smile, nodding at her words.
"And I pray Violet provides half as sensible counsel, as well," he remarked. "She has the right of it. This is more siege than battle, not to be won in a day with a single charge or taking of a hill. And if there is one man that has shown he can withstand a siege, it is Medgar Tully."

"I have no intention of battling Tully, nor laying siege to Riverrun," A sly smile spread across his lips, indicating ulterior motives. "I am simply making friends."
"And speaking of friends, one of my vassals is in need of aid and I have been from Harrenhal longer than I would have liked. We shall discuss the betrothal in depth by raven or at a more convenient time." Belric took a step froward and embraced Lucamore's shoulder with and open hand. "Until then, stay safe m'lord. May the Seven watch over you."

"Well, luckily for you, making friends is my specialty," Roote replied, matching the smile. "We will have to put on quite the show for this wedding, one the Riverlands will find it hard to forget."
"And may your Old Gods watch over you, Belric. Safe travels."

Yseult wipes her eyes and stands, offering Maester Harold a hand up. Unknowing that Violet has likely heard everything. 'I cleaned myself up afterwards as best as I was able but I only had a bowl and cloth.' She frowns 'I did not dare use the baths in case he came back for another go.. Might you advise me futher as to how I may care for myself.. also.. as ironic and vengeful it would be.. I do not think it is wise I bear his bastard should I prove to be with child in a moon or two.. I guess that count will be up to the gods and time will tell.. Although might that happen I should seek Fathers council first do you think?' Yesult werily sighs. The whole prospect terrifys her, she knows the chance would be slim but she is still horrified that it hapened at all, much a less the ramifications to herself and what she fears her faher may do. "It does not appear you have any life threatening injuries," the maester replied, conducting a physical with tender fingers. "I am sure the emotional damage is far worse than the physical harm...though that is saying something," he said, looking sadly at the angry welts. "I make sure your lord father lends one of his carriages, so that you can get some bed rest on the journey home, as sitting the saddle would be unwise at this juncture." With a solemn countenance, he opened a chest in the corner of his tent and removed a bag of herbs, handing them to her. It was moon tea. "The choice is up to you and no other."

Yseult looks at tbe Maester graitfully. 'Thank you Maester Harold. I will see what happens when my next bleed is due and make the decision then as agonising now would be little point if I prove to have not borne..' she accepts the small bag and after smelling the familer scent she tucks it into her bosom once shes sufficantly arranged her clothes again. She gives the old man a hug and a kiss on the cheek and takes her leave to go find her lady. (Does she see Violet?) (Edit.. since Violet is obviously there ) Yseult sees Violet as she leaves the tent and squirms a little but says as calmly as she can with a bit of a stiff curtsey. 'Evening Lady Violet.. Are you requiring assistance?'

"It will be an event worthy of remembrance." Said Belric in good spirits, turning his back to walk out the door.
When Saesha and Belric were at a safe distance he let out a sigh, leaning into her while speaking softly, "That will be the easiest ally we make."

That sounded ominous to Saesha,
"Lord Roote, always a pleasure" she gifted him another bright smile and followed her husband out.
Saesha smiled at her husband as they walked but it was so far away from her eyes that it was practically on her feet, "Let us hope it's not the only ally."
She waited until they were away from everyone else and in their tent.
"Are you insane?" she asked, sounding like it was a serious question rather than an exaggeration, like she was considering he had actually gone mad. She made sure to keep her tone low.

Sensing the lack of sarcasm in her voice, Belric thought about the question thoroughly. After some consideration, he smiled and said, "Probably."

Saesha looked at him like he'd grown a second head, "This isn't funny, Belric"

"I thought that went well, considering his daughter was just raped." Belric said, his tone shifting into something more serious.
