The stag was beautiful, and for a moment, Dacey thought about not saying anything. Then the hounds picked up the scent. He didn't deserve to be hunted down by dogs, spears and swords, but then that's what Belric was here for.
"A stag," she told her companions quietly, pointing towards his location and waiting for their next move. Otherwise she would have shot him right there and the hunt would have been over before it even began.

Nodding, she dismounted with an arrow ready, quietly following after Father and Albah. Hopefully they hadn't found both stag and doe. It would be a shame.

(Success. No points awarded.)
Aelison heard the whining noise before she saw the blood on the stag's antlers. Father returned a moment later, taking his place beside Aelison and promptly barking at the supposed prey. Soon after, Albah limped back with a serious gash across his side, whimpering low. Father licked his son's face before returning to his defiant stand.
The buck seemed to have returned to his grazing, still confident in his reign over this patch of earth.
(Medium Wound to Albah.)

"Are you just going to stare at it all day, or are we hunting?" Belric asked, poking fun at his sister.

"Awww for fuck's sake", Aelison groaned once she saw Albah's injury. She grinned at him lightly and rubbed his head. "I'm going to get you back and set you straight." She did what she could for him there, but knew that she didn't get him back soon they would lose another dog. (Medical 40)

Jormun, now completely aware of the buck, rides up alongside Dacey. Looking over to his favorite sibling, he grins and grabs his crossbow. "Shall we?"

Dacey gave Belric half a shrug as if to say "your loss", seeing as he was likely to watch them hunt rather than hunt himself now. She nodded to Jormun, who was coincidentally also her favourite sibling, and dismounted, grabbing her bow and swiftly nocking an arrow.

She wipes the brambles and dirt from the wound, before wrapping some torn strip of cloth around Albah's body. She won't be able to properly tend him until she can give him milk of the poppy.

Sighing heavily, she picked up the enormous dog, cradling him to her as he whimpered. "It's alright... You did fine."
"Father, with me", she commanded. They walked back to her horse. Seems her cousins were gone but she needed to get Albah back and soon. "I'm sure they won't miss me... "

"My lady, you must exert more strength if you hope to hit your mark," her pale companion chided as Dacey held the dragonbone between her hands. The woods were different, but she recognized the stag all the same, proud and strutting in the long grass. Like her father.
Ser Simon, strong and handsome in Dacey's eye, chortled. "I fear our guest overestimates my lady's commitment to the Targaryen cause."
Willard Ryger, still on horseback, said delicately, "Ser Simon, Brynden Rivers is one of the finest archers in the Seven Kingdoms."
"Aye, but he's a piss poor diplomat if he thinks a hunting trip will sway us to change sides so readily. When does he promise Riverrun and thirty ships bearing her name? What seat on the Small Council does she sit? Daeron may favor the Dornish, but he's yet to confuse his brothel with his inner circle."
Bloodraven ignored the older man and continued his lesson, lowering his voice while Ryger and Whent squabbled over terms. "Ignore them. Willard thinks he will be the next King's Hand, but he dies in shame, overestimating his value to Daeron. Simon dies the last of his name. But you know what's more important than a name, don't you, my lady? You know what you desire... What House Lothston and Harrenhal need."
"Yes..." Whispers Dacey softly, still straining to hold the bow taut.
"Tell me, then. Tell me and I promise you they will build a monument to your deeds in Harrentown."
"...a son."
"Then fire away."
******
Dacey writhes on the ground, twisting and turning as she murmurs 'A son, a son' over and over. When she comes to her senses, the stag remains in the distance, still self-assured in his reign.

"A son... What," she breathed, confused as to why she was lying on the forest floor when a moment ago she'd been someone else somewhere else. She looked around and found she was still grasping Bloodraven's bow, but had dropped the arrow. She picked up the arrow as she pushed herself up, fumbling a little to nock it. "I... I must've slipped," she told Jormun rather lamely, genuinely hoping that Belric and Aelison were too far away or preoccupied to have seen too much of her little mishap. With clammy hands, she drew the bow once more, unable to shake the feeling of Brynden Rivers standing next to her, watching.

Jormun is at Dacey's side as she rises, a mixture of concern and confusion across his face. He backs off as she draws her bow again, retrieving his own crossbow from where he'd dropped it and leveling it at the stag. "Right.. the footing is unsteady, tread lightly."

She strikes the majestic creature in his side. His limbs and head flail as he attempts to confront an enemy he does not see. His companion flees further into the forest. It still stands ready to maul some asshole to death though.
(Medium Wound to the innocent marvel of nature, you monster.)

Dacey cursed under her breath. "Missed his heart," she said, more to herself than Jormun, annoyed now that the stag's death had to be an ugly one. She drew another arrow.
