Jormun moves to his assigned position, gesturing for Dacey. He drew his crossbow once more and looked for any signs.
[Observation 30. Can't remember if I got a skill up for it last time.]

On hearing Belric's orders, Willis went ahead and took a look around the stables, including rifling through the dead bandit's personal effects for any valuables.

Willem hastened to obey Belric's instruction as well, scanning his flank for signs of danger.

"Git o'er hier, ye smelly cunts!" Hoster roared before the fight ahd been done, still feeling the adrenaline rush from the fight. He chased after the bunch, swinging his sword like a very crazy, very mad person. Of course, he gave up the chase after a dozen feet, Hoster was drunk, a little overweight and almost 50. He then got back to where Belric had called him.

Belric discovers heavy horseprints in the wet dirt, leading away from the stables and around the manor. He can tell easily that the rider was moving as a hard gallop, judging by the a,punt of displaced dirt and grass. Jormun finds the same horseprints, but does not trace its path as swiftly as his lord.
In the bandit's small pouch, Willis finds only a peculiar piece of weirwood. Someone has whittled an emotionless face into it. If it has value beyond novelty, Willis cannot tell yet. Nearby is the fallen knight's body, who has gold, weaponry, several letters addressed to a woman named Elena. The content ranges from chaste to debauched, but nothing of relevance. It occurs to Willis that if his killer saw no value in the obvious coin, he must have bee distracted by a larger prize.
Willem, on the other hand, dares to look in the window and sees what must have once been a great hall. The knight sees several men sitting, no, laying around a table. He can just make out the pool of blood around them. Nearby are three men. Two are in chainmail, likely the same men who had escorted the taxes. Willem has never met Ser Reggie Underhill, so cannot guess whether he might be the dead man by the stables, the man sitting in the chair and clutching his side, or the third man who is now idly drinking an ale.
"How many men in the house?" He mutters over his drink to Kyle.
(Three Observation points for Belric, two for Jormun and Willis, and none for Willem.)

Willis pocketed the weirwood carving and the letters, and divided the gold into equal shares for the knight and guardsman who had helped kill the bandit. He didn't bother with the weaponry, but indicated the others could grab what they liked, if desired.
He walked out of the stables and called to Belric, "Clear in here, Bel."

Willem ducked his head away from the window before someone looked up and mistook him for a bandit. He silently waved at Belric to get his attention.

"Three here, leader has a hostage," he said. "Four came outside so lord alone knows where they're." He sighed. "This plan got a bit out of hand."

Acknowledging Willis, Belric pointed his great-sword in the direction of the horse prints. "Get the horses, looks like we've got a runaway."
Turning to Ser Willem, he took note of the open window and did well to avoid being seen as he approached. "What did you see?" He asked with a whisper, not yet taking the chance to look for himself.

"There's three men inside m'lord." Willem whispered back. "Look to be friends. There's a number of bodies in there as well."

Willis glanced at the tracks, but shook his head. "Just a horse that got spooked by the fight, no rider. Nothin' to worry about."

"Well then," he said, stading up straight. "Let's go have ourselves a drink."
He entered the tavern.

Willem didn't sheathe his sword, in case he had managed to misjudge the situation and Belric found himself under attack. He followed Belric at a close distance as the Lord made his way in.

Willis waved for the others in the stables to follow, and went in the tavern after Belric and Willem, keeping his axe ready but resting on his shoulder.
