"No, my lord, I heard Skinner Jon say it himself! Meet me at in the Pit, he commanded, near the entrance to the Marlfort. And then Hal, the big blonde dunce laying over there, repeated it to his men!"
Ser Reggie was wiping Hal's brains off his graves and boots. "I believe him, my lord. Never heard of this Marlfort, but he could have just said he didn't know, or named the Septon's Pass and left us chasing more bandits."
The Septon's Pass was a popular choice for highwaymen, and likewise lay in Shoreham land.

"Well, we... We would be very grateful... Ser..." There was an awkward moment Willis recognized well from the war. Another powerless woman was wondering if she should offer her body in recompense for some favor. Both women were still attractive, and aside from their recent trauma, life in the Honeyspoon estate had been kind to them.

Willis was surely tempted - he did like them redheads, and the mother wasn't bad either - but he opted to decline. "Don't think anything of it. Just tryin' to make a bad situation into somethin' better." Besides, might be better to play the long game, here.
"You two wait up here. There's a fair bit of blood and guts down the stairs. I'll let you know when it's all right." He started to head back down, stopped, and turned to them again. "What were your names, by the by?"

Willis smiled at the theme. "Very pretty. Don't you worry, we'll get this figured out."
He headed down the stairs and was taken aback by the new corpse on the floor. "Well, they may not like that. But the ladies are safe upstairs. Drew down on me with a crossbow, but I calmed 'em down."
