Donal trailed Alyn over to the group. "What's going on?" He inquired on reaching them. "Why are you here?"

“Why are you covered in blood?” Barley asked him, not answering, “Why do you got New armour?” She frowned abd crossed her arms, “where are the others?”

"Aye, lass, I want to know those things too," Tim said, backing Barley in part because he disliked Donal's tone. "Some of us was tryin' to make a plan to rob the farm, Donal. I don't recall no plans about gettin' no armour."
He recognised that armour and that gave him a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"In he end I got the armor myself." said Alyn. "Turns out Lychester didn't want it. Neither did Longinch."

"Don't know where Vex and Harlan are." Donal replied to Barley. "They should be here. When we were trying to get the armor we had some bad luck and got spotted by the guards before we could hide. Bandy and I created a diversion so Vex and Harlan could get away. But Bandy's horse was slow and they caught us. We fought some of them off but there were too many of them and the bastards killed Bandy, didn't give him a chance to yield, dogs that they were. I fought my way free and here I am. They may have took my ear, but I promise you they've only strengthened my resolve."

So Bandy was dead. Tim felt the briefest pang of concern for his former comrade, yet what use was it to mourn one who was already gone? He thought it was stupid of Donal and the others to let themselves be spotted but it was done now and nothing would bring Bandy back.
"Poor bastard," he said. "But let's bloody get on with robbin' the farmhouse? Ain't none o' us getting richer just standin' 'ere."

Welcoming the chance to change the topic from his having precipitated Bandy's death, Donal jumped to agree with Tim, deciding to not fight them on having disregarded his orders. "Tim has the right of it. No point waiting for Harlan and Vex. Let's get this coin before something else goes wrong."

"No, this whole thing has become a shit show, and now Vex and Harlan have no idea to come straight here. Why did you get the armour?" She said, frowning, "I am not following the orders of someone who let them make such a stupid decision, not that anyone even made you leader. I say we go to the meeting point, and try and organise ourselves a bit better. Let's sort ourselves out, before something else goes wrong" Barley said, clearly angry and looking at Donal with great suspicion. Did Bandy get got... or was he pushed?

"I told them to come straight here before creating the diversion. Ser Alyn can vouch for that." Donal replied dismissively. "All the guards followed me. They should be here by now, and if they're not it makes no sense to wait for them. And our decision wasn't stupid. Now Ser Alyn has plate armor and showed the Lords that them hanging one of us won't stop the rest of us. If you want to go to the meeting point, I won't stop you. After all, my original plan was for you to go there, so I'm not to blame for your problem with being here. But we still have a job to do before joining you there."

"So if the guards followed you, Donal, is there any chance of them finding us 'ere? How sure are you that you lost 'em for good?" Tim asked. "You better not 'ave led 'em 'ere."
He was beginning to wonder if he'd backed the right man.

"Do you take me for a fool?" Donal asked, raising his voice as he started to get angry. Where his ear had formerly been was hurting like his father's manhood must have in the later stages of its venereal disease, and here were some smallfolk wench and self absorbed liar asking him questions implying he was some kind of fool. "Of course I lost them before I came here! Look about, do you see any of them?"

"if you shouted as loudly about coming here as you did just then, they may well be coming anyway, lost or not." She frowned and looked back at the boat, "I am out of here... any of you who want to come with me, fine, if not, I am taking the boat anyway."

"Not yet but that don't mean they ain't comin'," Tim snapped at Donal. "For all I know, they'll follow your tracks. A man fleein' ain't got no time to cover 'is tracks, 'specially if 'e's bleedin'. An 'ere I was, thinkin' you might make a decent leader. Don't expect me to vote for you again, cos I ain't gonna."
He huffed and walked away from Donal. He wanted to rob the farmhouse yet at the same time he was tempted to go with Barley.

Donal scowled at both their backs. Then he turned to Alyn. "Well, now that they've wet themselves at the prospect of doing this job and ran away making excuses about me getting followed, are you ready to do the job we came here for?"

"There were six guardsmen and one tracker. The tracker and two guardsmen are dead by my hand...another..the captain guardsman, was walking back to the village horseless, when I passed him." said Alyn to the group, a calm look on his face. "I'd be surprised, given their state, if they could track Donal any time soon."
Alyn shrugged at Donal's question. "I'm ready but if the others aren't then I question whether two men can vanquish four."
