Lucas had feigned falling asleep, but once it seemed his captor had succumbed to weariness he had quietly begun testing the strength of his bonds. A tug of the chains revealed that the headboard wasn't made of the strongest wood and wobbled. If Lucas put enough force into it, it would likely break. However, considering the jangle the chains made with that experimental tug, it was unlikely his captor would sleep through the racket. Lucas stilled the chains, not quite ready to make his move. Once he felt they were no longer clanking he scanned the chamber for anything he could use as a weapon on his captor if he was able to free himself from the bed.

Lucas recalled that the bounty hunter had sold his prized butcher cleaver to Warren for a few coppers upon arriving. It was probably in the kitchens. In the room itself there wasn't much. Dicer was using the only two chairs in the room as his own makeshift bed. However, Lucas judged that if he broke the headboard just right, he could use a broken bedpost as a makeshift club.

Lucas silently cursed his captor again, although he supposed he would almost certainly have done the same had the roles been reversed.
Not liking his chances if the staff or patrons of the establishment came to Dicer's aid quickly, Lucas tried to listen to see if there was any suggestion there was anyone still awake within earshot.

Sigfry nodded as he moved to cover one of the two entrances. He hoped that he would be able to find something sutible to bar the door from opening. Either something heavy or a heavy rod of some kind to keep the door held shut.

Tim doesn't find anything he thinks could block the side entrance. There may be a cart in the stables that could do the job, but it was unlikely it could be moved in the dead of night without making a fair amount of noise. Frustrated, he listened in to see if anyone was likely to be nearby at this time of night. If he knew whether or not discovery was likely, he might be able to think of another option.

Not liking his chances if the staff or patrons of the establishment came to Dicer's aid quickly, Lucas tried to listen to see if there was any suggestion there was anyone still awake within earshot. The tavern was quiet as the grave, the Hour of Ghosts aptly names, as everyone was likely asleep this deep into the night. Sigfry nodded as he moved to cover one of the two entrances. He hoped that he would be able to find something sutible to bar the door from opening. Either something heavy or a heavy rod of some kind to keep the door held shut. Observation: 45 Sigfry has slightly more luck than Tim, noting the stack of firewood by he kitchen door. He judged he could likely wedge a piece in the door, though it wouldn't be likely to hold for long under a forceful enough blow. Frustrated, he listened in to see if anyone was likely to be nearby at this time of night. If he knew whether or not discovery was likely, he might be able to think of another option. At this hour, no one was likely awake and the surrounding area was quiet as the grave. The danger of making noise, of course, was waking those in the inside the tavern prematurely before the ambush was ready and allowing them time to mount a defense or make an escape.

Figuring there was no time like the present, given Dicer or anyone else could wake up at any moment out of a need to relieve themselves or some other cause, Lucas took a breath to gather his courage and then gave his chains as forceful a yank as he could manage, attempting to break the headboard into a improvised weapon. Sigfry looked to the wood and shook his head. It wouldn't be much, but it would have to do for now. He just hoped that nobody would attempt to flee this way. He took up the wood and attempted to secure it into place in the door, as quietly as he could.

Sigry manages to do so without difficulty. With both entrances blocked with varying degrees of success, the only thing to do is find the secret entrance and storm the inn.
(I'll get your roll in a few posts Dinadan. Just want to give them a chance to get inside. )

"I wouldn't worry about them, ma'am." Boros stated, keeping himself close to the boss. His dogs trailing him. "They have been through worse without as much as a squeal."
Before entering the tunnel, Boros kneeled beside his hounds and petted them on the head.
"Just keep following your daddy, my dears." He smiled and kissed their slobber dripping mouths. "It will all be fine. Just stay close to me"

Boros felt fairly confident his beasts would do as they were instructed.

Boros took a deep breath and checked Richard's hammer to see if it was still Staples tô his back.
"Let's go get rich." Boros said frowning and walked into the tunnel.

Vex nodded, glad it was dark so that Boros kissing his slobbering dogs was less visible than under normal circumstances. "Let's go," she said, taking lead towards the stables. Once there, she started looking for the passage.

Despite her single eye, Vex is the first to spot the secret entrance, a few crates concealing a trap door into a tunnel that would require the largest among them to hunch down. It was unlikely those in plate armor could get through without considerable difficulty.
Vex also discerned that Warren was utilizing the tunnel as a secondary cellar of sorts, storing grain smuggled from the Reach. After the war, the price of grain had doubled due to the shortage, the armies having exhausted most of the stores through either their bellies or the torch. As such, the two largest grain suppliers, the Reach and Riverlands, had imposed steep sanctions against one another as each attempted to revitalize their agricultural sectors. Unfortunately, certain strains could only be found in the Reach and was usually cheaper than its Riverland equivalent, resulting in the flourishing of smugglers to avoid the steep tariffs. There were a few barrels of wine in the cellar as well and casks of brandy, a steep tax likewise having been imposed on alcoholic beverages from certain regions.

Keeping as quiet as he could, he circled back and found the group.
"How'd it go? Did you find a way in?" He whispered, preparing himself for the task ahead.
