"I'll give it a look over, but I don't work fer nuthin," affirmed Harlan. "Not tuh mention, I 'ave no tools. Wuz forced to sell 'em weeks ago to 'ave 'nuff coin to make it too 'arrenhal. 'eard they've got lots of work under that new lord."
"Where you from?" He asked, remaining cordial. "I can't place your accent. Usually I've got a good ear for 'em."

"I'm 'ere for work, my company was hired by some Lord to fight in the war. By the time we got 'ere the fighting was mostly done. Now here I am trying to see the sites before finding my way back home." Taero claims exuberantly. "Don't much care what happens really, just want to see this part of the world."

After snagging his drink and taking a couple of swallows, Tim shuffled over to speak with Dornish Red. He kept his tankard in hand, clutching it as if it were a lifeline.
"Y'don't look like yer from round 'ere," he said cautiously. "D'yer get busy much'?"
After speaking, he raised his tankard to take a deep drink, and covertly looked Red over whilst doing so, checking for weapons, armour and anything else of interest.

"Nor would I expect you to," Warren assured him. "Though I've never known a craftsman desperate enough to sell his tools." His tone did not sound accusatory or suspicious, but rather pitying and empathetic. "I was born a stone's throw away, in a village just outside Lord Harroway's Town," he answered Harlan's query, apparently an open book. "And you, friend?"

"A bit of wanderlust then?" the dicer said, with a nod as if he understood. "Well there's not much worth seeing in the Riverlands. Better to head West to the Rock, North to the Wall, or South to the Hightower if you want to see the great wonders of our humble continent."

Harlan shrugged, accepting the pity for his fictitious misfortune. "I wuz 'ardly a craftsman, just an apprentice. The mason who mentored me wuz drafted into Lord Bracken's service when the war began. He took 'is best with 'im, but I wuz left to dig trenches for the army. That's where I met 'im" Harlan threw a thumb over his shoulder in Tim's direction. "Got placed in the same unit first six months of the fighting, and 'ave been lookin' out fer one 'nuther ever since."
Harlan leaned forward across the counter, lowering his voice so only Warren could hear him. "He ain't exactly all there in the 'ead. Might'a always been that way, not too sure. But if he don't respond right, or you catch 'im staring off, don't give it much thought... he mean's well."

Observation 35 Red frowned, and responded in the local accent. "If ye wander down the road a mite further, ye can see the farm where Ah came into this world. Ah drank from the same stream as a lad as any man in this hole." Despite his distinctly foreign face, his brogue was as authentic as the Trident itself. "As fer me business, nah, not so much. Ah tend to the stables and look after the mounts of those folk who can afford suchlike. Reckon that's a step up from me duties in the war." He shrugged. "Passing through yerself, ser, or are ye looking for a place to settle down? It's a peaceful plot, Ah can tell ye." Tim spied a whip hooked to the young man's waist along with a set of keys and nothing else of note.

"I'd get lost wi'out im. Lost meself in a dark barn, once." He grinned and took a deep drink of ale. "Yer fought in t'war then?"

Warren looked from Harlan to Tim (the Dim) with the same pitying empathetic eyes, before offering an understanding nod. "You're a good man to look after him. If either of you need a thing, don't be shy in letting us know."

"Aye, Ah squired for Ser Ector Wildcock hisself. He was the Lady Gwyn's husband afore he lost his life." He gestured to the unhappy woman who was clearly trying to sell her body. "We was at the Redgrass, we was. Couldn't duh-steen-guish muh hair from muh face, so covered in blood was Ah."
The young man almost seemed to long for those days before remembering his current place and veneer.

“Much appreciated, but we can tek care of ar own well enough. I just ‘ope ter not be a bother.” Harlan tapped his finger on the countertop, wondering when his meal was destined to arrive. In character or not, he was hungry. Trying to keep his mind off of it, he continued his conversation with the tavern keep to pass the time. “So... , what ar’ you known fer? Lots of taverns ‘ave a thing. You got one?”

"All the big wonders will last a bit for me to go see them. What I am more interested in is the way of life over here." Taero states, not bothering to say that any big castles these have would be dwarfed by the greatness of the Free Cities, with the main exception being their giant Ice Wall.

As nobody was talking to him and the last time he had spoken had earned him an elbow to the face, Lucas stayed quiet and glared at the red haired man as the various conversations took place around him.

Almost gasping the final word in his awe. he consequently sounded as naive as the role he was meant to be playing. "Ain't she got no kin that could take 'er in? Did they all die in t'war?"

"Ain't she got no kin that could take 'er in? Did they all die in t'war?" "Nah, she's not that breed of lady. Lord Roote always said he would gift some land to Ser Ector after the war, but Lord Roote made a lot of other fucking promises too." Red scowled briefly, before asking, "What's your name, newcomer? Ah'm Logan. Everyone here calls me Dornish Red, but I would much prefer you using the name my ma gave me."
