Alice was not far behind Violet, wearing a simple brown dress. Her eyes were wide and full of wonder as she saw he city and the huge encampment around it. "It's incredible..." She whispered in awe, before looking to see who her sister was talking to. Dacey was striding through the camp, clad in black leather and a matching wool cloak, a dagger fastened by her hip and a bow on her back. She'd smeared a bit of the black paint around her eyes, seeing as she was heading out for a hunt. She noticed her half-brother as she passed him with a girl on his arm and gave a small nod of acknowledgement, but it was the other girl that made her stop in her tracks and turn around. "Alice?" she asked, looking at the girl's back.

For a moment Alice wondered if it really was her own name being called or whether she had misheard. It could have easily been 'Alex' or 'Alec' or something of the like. But there was something about the voice that was familiar and so she looked up, trying to figure out where the call had come from. She turned and scanned the nearby faces, most of them grimy and fierce - the faces of men who had seen a lot of fighting..
And then one caught her eye, quite nearby. It took her a moment to realise that it belonged to a woman, mostly due to the fact that she had not expected to see a woman dressed as a soldier. Her eyes widened and her face lit up.
"Dacey!" She called out, spreading her arms wide and giving her sister a hug.

"That and more." Symon answered, "I have seen him be gracious to those who yield to his blade, as well as be the swift sword of justice to those who refuse to accept defeat at the hands of a better swordsman. Both traits are a welcome sight, though some think death is the only possible outcome of a fight." Symon says with a hint of dismay in his voice, "I believe those who think that way don't value the life of a person, either noble or peasant." He says with a hint of sorrow. After an instant of reflection, Violet replied "I've always thought most high lords don't give a fig for the lives of their smallfolk. Why would they, the smallfolk exist only to serve their needs. But our family is only a few steps above the smallfok. Until now. But perhaps Belric will be able to show the high lords a thing or two about the honour of those not born to high rank. The septas taught me that mercy is a noble virtue." She paused, then said "Let's find Belric now. I'm so eager to see him."

Dacey was stiff at first, as if the gesture had surprised her, but eased and returned the hug after a moment. "Good t'see ya," she said with a small smile after pulling back to study her face. She found Alice hadn't changed all that much during the last year. Her eyes shifted over her sister's shoulder, at the girl she hadn't recognized before. "This must be Violet, then" she observed before turning her attention back to Alice. "How was yer journey?"

"It's good to see ya," Alice said grinning, her accent fitting the common people she grew up with. "But the journey was so dreary," she added, looking over her sister. Dacey looked even more martial than the last time she had seen her, which must have been about a year ago. Or perhaps that was just a trick of memory, as time does affect such things in a drastic manner. "We rode through a lot of abandoned and burned down villages..." She looked away for a moment. "I even saw a few corpses..."
Looking over her shoulder she watched Violet for a moment before nodding to her other sister. "When was the last time ya saw Violet? 'Cause she is such a snobby little brat now," Alice commented, a small giggle escaping her.

Belric did little to stop Hoster from passing out. In fact he half heartedly pointed towards a chair in the corner, sending his uncle in the right direction. With Hoster now disposed, Belric grabbed his brother by the shoulder. "It is good to have you here brother. Tell me of what you will do now that we have won the war." As suddenly as he blacked out, Host was back crawling back to his seat near Belric. His head pounded as if it had been smashed by a Warhammer, he felt as if his stomach would burst. But this was no news to him, in the lifestyle he lived, feeling like shit was not a daily matter of if, but of when. "As ah was sayin': Heard th' Kin''s gon git yo' a trimenjus place of yer own." He stated, simply giving continuation to the conversation as if nothing had happened. For his own safety, he drained a little more of the wineskin, not wise to go out of liquids. "Now yer an impo'tant fella, thunk yo' might need some exco' - ain't nevah see a fine noble wifout a real personal guard." Hoster smiled a snake's smile, revealing his couple missing teeth.

The Riverlands had gotten the worst of this war, this much was clear, but her contribution to it must've been well above that of an average soldier. "Not sure," she replied. "Peraps five, six years?" In all fairness, she'd not even heard of her youngest sister's departure from the motherhouse until very recently. She raised an eyebrow slightly. "How so?"

Alice grinned. "She keeps talkin' like she's some sort of high born lady from the Reach and holds her nose far too high. Pretends like she's better than everyone else back in Harroway's." Alice didn't see that much of Violet, as she worked a lot of hours at the tavern but when she did see her sister she tried to stay out of her way. Alice disliked people who looked down on others.

Dacey didn't remember Violet as such from their childhood so she figured the motherhouse would have been to blame for that. She held her own judgement for later, though, after she'd had a chance to talk to her. She chose not to comment on it further, deeming such petty squabbles to be below her. " 's that so. S'pose I'll have to see for myself later," she said, looking at the receding backs of their siblings. "Yer probably off to see Belric. Best not to lag behind." She gave Alice another small smile. " 'm off to the woods for now. I'll see you there later."

"The woods?" Alice asked, not really knowing what exactly her sister was doing with the army. "Be careful, sister!" She gave Dacey another squeeze and was tempted to kiss her cheek but then decided not to - she didn't really want any of that black paint on her face.
With a final smile she hurried after Violet and the bastard.

Hearing footsteps, Violet turned around to see Alice hurrying after her.
"Oh, Alice, I wondered where you'd got to," she declared. "I'm sorry I ran ahead, I got a bit excited about seeing all the banners and everything. This is our bastard brother, Symon. He's kindly taking me to meet Belric. I'd be quite lost here without a guide!"

"I just spoke to Dacey! She spotted me and... well, it's been a while," Alice said when she was finally caught up. She smiled and gave a small curtsy to Symon. "Hello Ser, I'm Alice."
She looked back at her sister. "I don't think I've ever seen this many people in one place!" Alice looked around the camp and then up at the city. "I can't believe we'll get to see the city. Do ya think we'll get to stay in the Red Keep?"

Violet frowned slightly. "I hadn't thought of that," she admitted. "I hope so! It would be like living in a song if we did. We'll get to see it, at least. And an inn wouldn't be so bad, would it? I expect the inns are much bigger and fancier than the ones at home. Oh, sister, we'll have to have new gowns and everything!"
She hugged Alice in a moment of excitement.
"Just think, we might even be allowed to wear silk!" She said the latter with a tone of rapture, as if her dearest wish had been granted. "Just like proper ladies!"

Like Dacey had been, Alice as a bit surprised by the sudden show of affection but she grinned. She'd not expected her sister to be as openly excited as she herself had been and the sudden meeting with Dacey had distracted her from the prospect that her life was going to be very different soon.
"I am sure we'll get to have lots a' new dresses!" Alice agreed, her lips set in a bright smile. "I just hope you can all stay for as long as possible... at least until I've made some friends." She was as nervous about remaining in King's Landing as she was excited to be visiting it and Alice hoped that she would fit in. "Do ya think we'll stand out much? All the people here are so high born and noble..."

Violet shrugged, as if she wasn't troubled, though she was, a little. She was very glad that the septas had schooled her in the proper modes of speech. She, at least, would stand out a lot less than her kin.
"We probably will, but we'll have as much right to be there as any of them. Our brother is a hero, Alice. Nobody would dare say we didn't belong. Not now."
