Belric grabbed his brother by the shoulders, an aggressive show of brotherly affection, "Ahh little brother, my hair will have long turned grey before you sprout any on your balls." He smiled wide at Edmure, it was obviously the two talked this way often. "And be nice to uncle. The way he's been drinking, he's not long for this world."

"You seem obsessed by balls and 'swords', Belric. Did you pick that up living amongst men these past three years?" retorted Edmure with a grin.
"Should I be telling your bride about your new interests? Or were they always your interests and you just didn't tell anyone until now?"

Belric laughed hard, from deep within his gut. "Aye, it was far too long a time spent amongst men. You must have a few campfire stories of your own Edmure." Belric took his brother under his arm, messing up his hair again. "Can you believe the day has come? We finally have our victory."

"None that I can recall at the moment." replied Edmure. "But you are right, the victory was a long time coming. Kings Landing is a great prize and I am thankful our rightful king is finally on his throne. However for me, the taking of Riverrun would have made it even more satisfying."

"That is your greed, little brother. Be thankful for the day, perhaps Riverrun will come in time." Belric grabbed Edmure's ale, inviting himself to have a large gulp.

Edmure watched his brother drink his ale, without protest. "Not enough wine in this place to slake your thirst brother?" he asked sardonically. He gestured at Hoster still swaying from side to side. "Perhaps you and our uncle are more alike than I thought."
He took another cup and filled it. "And it was not my greed, Belric. Riverrun would not have been mine. It was more the satisfaction of concluding what I had come to do."

"We all have battles left to fight, brother. We will talk more of Riverrun when the time comes." Belric finished the goblet of ale he had stolen from Edmure. "Our place in this world is changing. House Blackfort has much work to do."

"Indeed it appears so." replied Edmure. "I am sure you will call upon me when you are ready. He glanced at his younger sisters who were waiting and smiled at them. "But surely it is now time for me to greet our sisters."

Symon watched as his step-siblings reacquainted themselves with each other. He sat at one of the benches and tried to gather a plate of whatever food and ale passed his way.

As the brothers squabbled, Ser Harlan rose to approach Alice. "My lady," he greeted with a respectful bow. He was fairly handsome and definitely the best-dressed man in the tent. "I don't believe we've met. Your brother has appointed me to protect and serve you during your upcoming stay in King's Landing."

Alice turned to face the man who approached her, giving him a smile. So this was the man her brother had assigned her. It could be worse of course and he was quite handsome. She hoped however that he was interesting, seeing as she would be spending a lot of time with the man.
"Glad to meet ya, ser," Alice said with a simple curtsy. "How do ya come to know Belric?"

"At Lord Harroway's Town," Harlan replied, returning an easy smile. "I squired for Lord Roote. We both spent a lot of time in the practice yard. I might've knocked him off his horse a couple of times," he joked, though his face fell a little before his next words. "And then of course the war. We fought together in Lord Roote's army." He paused for a moment and smiled a little. "I am glad it's behind us now."

Alice couldn't empathise but she felt bad for the man, unable to imagine what war must really be like. She wasn't foolish enough to believe all the tales of bravery and valour. "I am glad the worst is behind ya, Ser Harlan. Have ya ever been to King's Landing? It looks so big and... overwhelming..."

"Not until very recently, no," he replied amiably, gathering from this that Alice had been lucky enough not to catch a whiff of the city yet. "The walls are rather imposing, are they not? I haven't had the chance to look around much yet, but I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to explore the city. Have you been to any of the other cities by any chance, my lady?" he inquired.

Alice gave a small laugh at that. "I've lived mah entire life in Harroway's, Ser Harlan, but I've often imagined what it would be like. I didn't imagine King's Landing was this big but I've heard that Braavos and Pentos are even bigger." She shrugged. "Probably just rumours." She thought on something for a moment. "Do ya know much of the royal family? The queen?"
