"I am Saesha Seastar. You dare use such language in the presence of the King's own sister?" she inquired, tone even as she spoke to the man, impersonating a member of the royal family could be punishable by death, so he should understand the seriousness of her words. She clearly could not wait for Belric to get over his selective muteness. "Your wariness does you credit, Ser Valarr, in these uncertain times with no Lord in residence." She paused for a moment to let the words carry over. Deciding to back up the Maester. "For the services they performed for His Grace, my brother, during the war, Lord Belric has been honoured with the Lordship of your great Keep, and my hand making him the King's family also. You yourself sent the raven informing the King of Lady Lothson's death." No doubt Ser Valarr had more cutting lessons in history and sociology prepared for Saesha, but her last briefly halted his tongue "...Aye, tis true. Was mine hand that scribbled the letter and sent the stinking bird to His Grace. And it is true, you do not strike me as baseborn. However, Aegon had hundreds of bastards. I myself, so it is rumored, have the blood of kings running through my veins. Many an enchanted dream has crossed my slumber and I can assure you, none of them foresaw you lot. What other proof do you possess are indeed the King's sister and not some Free Cities trollop?"

Saesha felt anger rising in her. Her own temper was incredibly fiery and she was very quick to anger, she just concealed it a lot better than her brother. She was tried to keep a serene countenance at being called a trollop, but her eyes were ablaze.
She took the Writ from Daemon and lifted it so he could see, then held it out for the Maester to take to him, since he was already at the head of the column.

"There was also Maesters on both sides. The citadel is what stayed neutral you fool. Every Maester's duty is to their lord and his house." Percival contained his anger as well as he could, but there was just a hint of it in his eye. "SO yes there were Maesters on both side, as there have been in every war since the birth of the Citadel." Percival pointed at Saesha and said, "She has a writ from the king. You can read correct?" He rode to Saesha and bowed his head respectfully to her, and rode it back to the Magistrate adding in a softer voice for just him, "You should consider what you say. You have just called your new lady, and the King's sister a whore. She will long remember that."

The ride over here felt strange, the constant changing of perspective and the size of the castle making him feel uncomfortable. Not to mention the reputation of this place made him feel extremely uneasy. Everything culminated in giving the man a headache, which was not being helped by the fat man on a dying equine trying to poster about arresting them in the name of belric blackfort, the lord of Harrenhal. "What are you on about?" Yoren spoke up, looking to the so-called magistrate with a look of confusion and annoyance, "House Blackfort are the rulers of Harrenhal. The king's declared it, and my lord, Belric Blackfort, is here. Show some respect, fatty." "The Blackforts live in Lord Harroway's Town, you great ignorant heap of cow shit! I fought beside Ser Bruce myself many a skirmish." "Then if you fought beside Ser Bruce you would know his sons at least." replied Edmure impatiently to Valarr, leaning on the pommel of his saddle. "Two of his sons are here, myself included. Look closely."

Yoren, having much less restraint, and still irritated by his headache, took a lot of restraint to not try to ride forward and throttle this Magistrate bastard born here and now. His jaw clenched, his eyes narrowed, and his fists balled, as he felt an intense anger. Insults towards him he could tolerate, but insults to his friends, or those close to his friends, were much harder for him to try and hold back with.

Ser Valarr ignored the ignorant ignoramus in the chain And turned his attention to the letter. His lips had a habit of moving while he read, and when he finished, he turned to look hard at Edmure. "The little boy I saw on Bruce's lap would know this. How did your family come by the name Blackfort?"

Hoster had never liked horses, maybe because they were the only creature that could compete with his own smell. Being used to travel by foot, Hoster walked beside his nephew's horse, clad in his full battle attire, at his point he had already self-decreed himself as Lord Blackfort's personal escort. He motioned for his Bonny Boys to keep their hands on their swords, while doing the same himself.
Hoster looked at Belric, waiting for any command.

Tallahar leaned back in the saddle try to dull the ache in his lower back. It was just a another reminder of his age and the long war that had kept the Bastard knight fighting for so long. As this foolish man seemed to not let them in and then decided to ask for proof in someone telling him how Blackforts got there name. Sighing to himself Tallahar thought, 'I am no Blackfort so by the Gods I'm not opening my mouth.'

Saesha was losing patience, "House Blackfort. Named for the rotting gate they guarded on the way into Lord Horroways Town." she had clearly done some research into it, asked about exactly what she was marrying into. A house named after a rotted fence. "Does that satisfy you, or I should I return to King's Landing and inform The King his words are not enough for the headman of Harrentown?"

""My father Ser Bruce and his father before him, Ser Robert Blackfort were guardians of the black gatehouse or fort into Lord Harroway's Town and have been so for seven generations. Hence our name." retorted Edmure. "But no longer Ser! By decree of the King, the Blackforts are Lords of Harrenhal now."

Ser Valarr's eyes nearly rolled back into his head upon hearing her answer. "Well, that's certainly the correct answer, certainly, but how do I, that is the say, is it appropriate for a non-Blackfort to answer when..." He stopped babbling, took a deep breath, then leaped dismounted his horse in a way that suggested he was not getting back on it anytime soon. The nag immediately galloped off without looking back. The knight fell to his hands and knees before Edmure. "Your Excellency! For the love I bore your father, know that I only sought to protect these people! You must understand, I was their sole defense against the traitorss both within and without Harrenhal. Harrentown is defenseless, my Lord Belric!" He idly wiped the dirt off Edmure's boots. "Now that you and your fair wife are here, the people have a proper defender!"

Belric had been distracted by the poor shape in which they had found Harrenhal. The walls loomed high over head, a reminder of the heavy responsibility King Daemon had placed upon his shoulders. When Ser Valarr had ridden up, Belric had been inclined to let his wife handle the introductions. He looked on with amusement as the man confused Edmure for Belric.
Wanting to save the man future confusion Belric motioned for Hoster lead his horse to Ser Valarr, dismounting with far more flair than the portly knight. He walked over to the man groveling at his brothers feet. Berlic gave Edmure a pat on his leg reassuring him that he had spoken well during the introductions. "I am Belric, first named son of Ser Bruce of the house Blackfort, Knight of the Black Gate, Slayer of Bloodraven, and now Lord of Harrenhal by decree of King Daemon Blackfyre."

Dacey, who'd patiently yet stiffly sat in her saddle throughout the entire ordeal, despite her horse getting quite restless and stomping for nearly a minute, nudged the palfrey with the heel of her boot now that the 'threat' had been eliminated. She passed the snivelling Ser Valarr and rode ahead a little to look around. Not having to hear certain people in their party was naturally an added bonus.

The castle is claimed by traitors! House Whent rules in that great hell! Calumny and vice! The menfolk of Harrentown went inside to investigate and have not returned in days! But I, your faithful Ser Valarr the Voluminous, refused to abandon the families! How may I serve Your Excellency in claiming your... Claim to Harrenhal?"
