"I struggle to see why Hoster was given command as well." Willem replied. "Knowing what they knew of his character, there were surely better options for that role."
Willem followed Edmure toward the stables. "I'd disagree with you on that. If we come with men it makes us look distant and afraid. We're going g to offer our condolences. If things go poorly we are still two knights. I'd put money on us being able to get away from an upset mother." He paused. "Might be wise to wear armour though." He allowed.

"There may be more than just an upset mother. But I take your point." said Edmure. So, it'll be just the two of us...." he said, his last words fleetingly reminding him of a childhood song.

"Seems so." Willem replied. "If you'll give me a moment to put on some chain mail before we depart that would be most appreciated." Willem had been garbed in riding leathers for his past two rides and was grateful for that fact.

"Meet you back here." said Edmure with a grin.

Willem returns a short time later garbed in chain mail, sword sheathed at his side. He has left his shield in his quarters. "After you, Ser." He says to Edmure.

A guardsman informs the pair that Lady Saesha has sent men out to fetch the bodies and intends to set out to Harrentown in the morning to deliver the corpses and inform the family.
(Now you can either inform Saesha you would like to accompany her IC and come to an agreement, crash it and turn informing a family their sons are dead into a weird dick measuring contest, or decide informing the family twice is redundant and delete your posts in the Harrentown thread. I'm fine with any of the three. In the future, when such conflicts arise, please CC astro and myself, so we can handle it in an expedient manner.)

29th day, 2nd moon
Violet was one of the first people to arrive in the yard among the group going to Riverrun. She had packed up her belongings and wore her riding clothes. She waited eagerly for the party to gather. In time, everyone had gathered and the yard was full of noise. Violet's heart soared as they rode through the gate. She was looking forward to leaving Harrenhal for a time and seeing new surroundings.
The following individuals are travelling to Riverrun:
Belric Blackfort Saesha Seastar Violet Blackfort Benjen Blackfort Ser Simon Whent Ser Yoren Tya Rivers Yseult Rivers 20 Guardsmen

Captain of the Guard, it had a nice ring to Yoren's ears. Even though he was just leading the guards for this trip to river run, Yoren couldn't help but enjoy the bit of power it gave. Though honestly, he was more looking forward to helping the Blackforts then anything else. The knight looked around at the people gathered, the 20 guardsmen he had brought for this mission were good, but he wondered if they should have more.
"20's good...i'm pretty sure its good..." He muttered to himself as he thought it over. They didnt' want to come off as too hostile, though he also didn't want to leave them under prepared for any perils they might face. "...perhaps I need some reinforcements. Just to be safe."

Some servant had come to Benjen's room and told him his presence was requested on a trip to Riverrun. It seemed rather short notice, but it was not like Ben had much to pack. He wore his leather armor, with bow, axe, and a quiver of arrows slung over his back. He had a reasonably clean if not particularly fancy change of clothes, a soldier's tent, and a saddlebag laden with a cooking pot, a small knife, and various other practical travelling supplies.
There were a surprising number of guardsmen milling in the yard, though not many faces Ben recognized. He did see Yoren muttering something to himself and walked over. "Ey Yoren," Ben greeted him. "I suppose this is the group for Riverrun, then?"

Yoren snapped his attention to the odd looking man, taking a second to recognize him. He was one of the Blackfort's, one who'd arrived after Harrenhal had been effectively taken by them and Ser Simon. He gave a nod to benjen as he spoke.
"Aye. It's about 20 men i'd say. Though I'm wondering if we should bring more..." Yoren said as he looked back out towards the crowd gathered here, "Belric told me to expect trouble. I don't want to risk putting the family in danger from my lax preparations." He said, his mind a singly driven machine when it came to helping his friends.

"We travelling to Riverrun or putting it under siege again?" Ben asked rhetorically. "No bandit's gonna fuck with a group this large and well armed." He looked around the yard, spotting Violet this time. Ben had known Violet as a child, of course, but he had not seen her in years and did not recognize her. "Who's the fox?" Ben asked Yoren, indicating Violet with a nod of his head.

"Hmm?" Yoren said, looking in the direction that benjen was looking at, having no knowledge of his exact relationship as he spoke, "Oh. Lady Violet Blackfort. Belric's sister. She's nice..." He stated bluntly, smiling as he looked back to Benjen, "This place has been a bit harsh on her. But I think she's done well thus far." He said, knowing the grizzly sights of this place couldn't have been easy for her to see.

Ben whistled through his teeth. "That's little Vi, huh? Thought she was supposed to be a septa or something by now."

"Septa? I'm not sure if such a life would suit her..." Yoren said with a bit of a laugh as he looked over to Benjen, "I take it you knew her and belric back in harroways town."

Benjen was beginning to wonder if the boy wasn't a little thick in the head. "Course I knew them, they're my cousins," Ben replied. "I came up with Belric, and followed him to war when it broke out. Knew Violet for a few years too, but we weren't close on account of she left for some septa school when she was young. Ain't seen her in years."
