Hoster raised an eyebrow at Belric's comment, he knew his Boys were not trustworthy but they were the only ones they had at the present moment, well at least the ones under his command.
"Ah'll just com' wi' ye and bring som' o' them." Hoster nodded at Mors and Muddyn, commanding them to find a couple more of his crew to join their meeting with Ser Simon. "Abou' da tallin', maybe ye shoul' put one o' them knights. They seem ta be better fittin' for da task."

Jaime arrived with his grain council. Outside, commoners were starting to gather to see if their new Lord was a man of his word. He gave a respectful nod to his Lord and Lady, before speaking. "My lord, this is Lewyn, Gunther, Pate, and Shiv."
The last man spoke up, "It's short for Ch'Vyalthan, Your Grace. My father was Braavosi."
Jaime continued. "These are the most learned merchants in town. They can keep written accounts and budgets for grain use, and more importantly, Harrentown trusts them."

Belric greeted the men who accompanied Jamie, looking them over one by one. He spent an extra moment examining Shiv, who's name was not the only peculiar thing about him. Belric had met a lot of different types of men at war, killing men from Dorne had become a personal sport, but a merchant from Braavos was a new one.
"Well met, Gentlemen. You have been asked to do a thankless job. As merchants, I hope you understand the value of keeping inventory. These stores are all we have until spring, and they need to last. Take an account of what's here and see if you can find the old stewards books to use as a reference. Once that has been finished, my steward will sign off on what you have done and make copies of your work. Then, and only then will I allow proper rations to be distributed to the people." Belric doubted if these men truly understood what he was asking of them. Only when the winter dragged on and the food supplies run low, would they truly know his reasoning. "I would suggest you start immediately, the people are hungry."

The grain council murmured among each other before Gunther answered, "My lord, measuring the granary's reserves itself is a fairly simple matter, but those books could be anywhere. Lady Lothson hung her maester years ago, and to be perfectly frank, none of us genuinely expect her to have paid any attention to the essential matters of her household. We already know how much Harrenhal should have, as it was Harrentown that produced that grain in the first place. Lewyn has those numbers right here." A balding man built like a pit fighter presented a folio of documents for Edmure's confirmation.

"What a cunt..." He muttered, unable to stop the words before they escaped him. Lothson had done well to leave him a magnificent shit hole, ripe with starvation, death, and civil war. Wether he would admit it or not, Belric was already frustrated. "Use what numbers you have, but confirm it with a proper count. That will have to do for now."
Belric scratched at his beard. He had shaved for the wedding, an awful practice, and was now forced to deal with an itchy face until it could grow in. "Send someone to find myself or my Steward, Jon Blackfort, when you are ready for our inspection."
He walked over to Jamie the Smith, "I am sure you are ready to return to your home, I would not keep you any longer. We will talk again Smith, I have other duties that require my attention."
Belric kicked at Hoster, signaling him to get ready to move on.

Hoster nodded and followed Belric up the tower.

///////////////////////////////////////////// 3rd Moon, 1st Day
Qhorin descends to the granaries next, a covered lantern held carefully in his hands. Grain and sawdust, two substances most underestimated by most. Always necessary to be extremely careful in these sorta places with fire. He looks around the area, genuinely curious about the substance of the stores here.
But anyway, back to the real business of him being here. The vaults were mapped already, and if there was some sense this structure should be similar. (Engineering 82)

He sees grain, lots of grain, though even he could tell it wasn't going to be nearly enough to last even an average winter.
