Nyles knows where the pointy end goes too. He gasps as his shield is struck by the arrows but his training kicks in and he goes on the attack. It was far too late to be scared now.

Richard moves in fast, twin blades scything in front of him as he positions himself so the men with swords were blocking the archers position. He wished he was in a horse, would make this far easier.

Richard could certainly have fit a horse through the front door, and the place already fairly reeked of dung. Dark Sister adds a certain amount of class though, by elegantly removing an opponent's arm with a smooth cut the First Sword of Braavos could appreciate. The man cries out, but like a good servant of the true king, reaches for his fallen mace instead of his bleeding stump and prepares to continue the good fight.
Nyles is not so graceful, the new wound still styming his legwork. His opponent, a dark-haired brute of Northern persuasion, manages to slip the tip of his sword past the young man's shield, but it deflects harmlessly off the plate, almost grazing the gap below his shoulder.
Harlan is reminded of a tourney melee he once fought in, though he doesn't quite recall which. Perhaps one of Roote's. One of his opponents had the exact same tell as this fresh faced young man about to swing at him. That tourney knight had been wearing a helm when Harlan struck him across the face, or he might have lost an eye and most of his face. This young man is not so prepared and falls to his knees cradling what's left of his features.
Ser Sebastian is not particularly swift, but he plows a man down with his shield, before partially decapitating in a clean swoop.
The surviving five watchmen tear the lone remaining thug to shreds of skin and leather beneath their boots and blades. Unfortunately, one goldcloak almost immediately dies from two arrows in the back without ever learning he is a direct descendant of Maegor the Cruel and a local chambermaid who died giving birth.
Another takes three in the chest. Fortunately, he dies a happy man, having recently reconciled with his dying father, a sellsword who had spent his boy's childhood wars in Essos. The dying watchman never learns that the old man is in fact the biological father of his own wife's child. Probably for the best.
(No PC wounds, though I have been rolling Nyles with a Light Wound from the tannery incident. Three melee opponents left, two of whom have Heavy Wounds. Ser Sebastian, Ser Malkym, Jasper, and an unintroduced but no doubt fascinating watchman survive. And five archers still in action.)

"Nylse, Jasper, with me!" cries Richard as he heads for the archers. Getting tied up with the man at arms would only force more injuries. They could distract the archers while the two knights finished up the swordsmen. He heads in fast, hoping to attack before the next volley gets off.

Realizing what Richard was doing, Harlan turned to strike down the remaining swordsmen, though they clearly didn't need three men for it. "Go with them!" he shouted to the remaining watchman.

Richard's heavy armor is a blessing and a boon. Slowed by the great weight, he finds his opponents's arrows already notched and pointed at him before he can cut them down. However, two miss entirely due to shaking hands and a third plants itself firmly but painlessly in the beautiful enamel of his chestplate. The other two end up in the leg and shoulder of Jasper, bringing him collapsing behind the Kingsguard.
One of the archers drops his bow and tries to unsheath his sword, but Richard is already upon him with Dark Sister, slashing his throat without losing momentum as his other blade surgically removes the arm of another opponent.
Ser Malkym settles for leftovers, disposing of the other likewise appendage-challenged man left in the white knight's wake, driving his bastard sword almost nonchalantly into his neck.
Ser Sebastian, never one to leave a friend unattended, steps in to assist Nyles, offering a second target as the royal squire lands a good blow across the rebel's thigh when he faces the wrong direction.
The temporarily blinded rebel doesn't recover in time to stop Harlan from simply gutting him.
The last watchman, seeing Jasper fall, charges forward to defend his still living comrade.
(No wounds to PCs, Ser Sebastian Florent, or Ser Malkym. Jasper suffers a Medium Wound to the shoulder and Heavy Wound to the leg. Four surviving archers switch to melee. One member of the first wave still on his feet fighting. Also, I owe 2 sword points and 1 agility point to Richard, 2 sword point to Harlan, and 2 Sword points to Nyles.)

Richard snarls as the men draw swords, facing the four of them as their companion bleeds out on the grounds "come on then" he taunts "let's see what color your guts are"

Nyles continues to try turning his opponent into a human shish kabob as Sebastian joined the fray.

One red dragon cries out, "It is not our blood, assassin, but your soul you should fear fooouuurghhh..." As Richard's plain sword cuts smoothly into his lungs through the leather surrounding it. Instead of righteous fury, he begins spewing blood.
Sebastian simply cries out "Ha!" to draw his enemy's attention towards him so Nyles can plant his blade in the back of his head. Which he does.
The last three rebels ignore the unstoppable Kingsguard and go after wounded Jasper and his defender. It is clear they are targeting the most vulnerable, not the most hated. Two hammer across his shield with their weapons while the third plants his steel into the man's hip. Ser Harlan and Ser Malkym arrive to add their swords to Jasper's defense, but all they can seem to add is extra shields for the battering.
(Three uninjured enemies left. Medium Wound to Ser Donnel Redwell, who earns a name and backstory for his courage. No injuries to PCs, Ser Sebastian Florent, or Ser Malkym. No points awarded. The Raven notices his habit of referring to all knights by their title.)

Nyles digs his sword out of his enemy's head, or simply picks the man's up if it'd take too long to wedge out, and then he moves to the left in an effort to flank his enemies and force them to turn to face him or suffer unimpeded strikes to their oh so fragile spines. Nyles hates enemies with spines.

With the men focused on attacking the wounded and Donnel, Richard goes around to cut off their escape and surround them. Shields on front, Kingsguard behind.

Butchery. Simple butchery.
Five professional knights and a particularly plucky squire methodically perform a succesful pincer formation, tearing apart the rebels like a grinder. Lacking shields of their own, the reds are forced to settle for swinging their weapons ineffectively like they were swatting hornets.
Afterwards, when two resemble ground beef upon the ancient wooden floor and the third can only mumble for mercy through a face no one will ever love again, it is difficult to maintain a clear consensus of who struck which man how many times and how a mortal wound it was. Sebastian cleans his visor and helm with a rag, while Malkym tends to his surviving men.
(2 points to Nyles, 1 point to Harlan, and 0 points to Richard until he does something especially epic. Only Ser Malkym, Ser Sebastian, Jasper who has Medium and Heavy Wounds, and Ser Donnel who has a Medium Wound remain of initial NPC party.)

"That got bloody," Nyles mumbled as he scrapes blood off his sword. "We need to keep going though. Right, uncle? Benjy's mangled corpse still awaits us." He tried to bind some wounds though, at least to stanch the bleeding. "Wish we'd had more men in plate.". He looks about for anything of use, particularly of intelligence value. 32 medical 34 observation

(Success. 1 point to Medical.)
Nyles manages to stop Jasper's leg from bleeding, but he will almost certainly limp for the rest of his life.
Malkym crouches beside Nyles as he works on his friend. "Seven shits, Jasper... Your family is going to murder me."
"Not if I reach you first, you fucking fop..." He laughed and then hissed from the pain. "It's fine. My locksmith business is doing well. Enough to buy my boy a squireship soon. Get him out of this hellhole."
He reached over and patted the last watchman. "Ser Donnel Redwell. You'll make Lord Commander if I have anything to say. Ser Donnel saved my life, he did. Can't ask for better..." Donnell was wrapping more dead men's shirt around his waist. He didn't smile, simply said, "Don't move. Your shoulder is still a mess."

Nyles rises and wipes his hands. Then he finds the stairs and prepares to continue the battle. Time was their enemy.
