Surname: Blackfort Bloodline: First Men on the Father's Side, Andal on the Mother's Sigil: Words: Blood Begets Blood History: The only part set in stone is the recent history. House [TBD] was a knightly house in service of Lord Roote of Lord Harroway's Town and fought for the Blackfyres at the Battle of Redgrass Field. The knight of House [TBD] slew Bryden "Bloodraven" Rivers in single combat before he could crest the Weeping Ridge, preventing catastrophe and resulting in a Blackfyre victory. After 4 more years of war and a Blackfyre victory after the successful siege and assault of King's Landing, Ser [TBD] was awarded the Lordship of Harrenhal and the hand of King Daemon's half sister in marriage for his valiant service. All of these things will be decided by the players. Discuss it among yourselves in this board and we'll come to a consensus. We look forward to seeing what you come up with.

May I make the following initial suggestions:
House name - Davar (Zack knows why!)
Was our founder a landless knight or did he have a small tower similar in size to Standfast prior to his heroics at Redgrass Field?
Which of Daemon's sisters does the knight marry? Are we using a canon female or a fictional daughter of Aegon IV with some non-canon mistress? Aegon and Missy Blackwood had two daughters, Mya Rivers and Gwenys Rivers who would technically count as Great Bastards, whose fates are non known in canon history. Alternatively, the four daughters of Aegon and Merry Meg were canonically given to the Faith to be trained as septas, though I see no reason why that couldn't be altered. Their names are Alysanne, Lily, Willow and Rosey.

Your house was previously an impoverished knightly house, once step above peasants, in service to Lord Roote of Lord Harroway's Town for a few generations likely as Knight of some gate or other. You likely had a humble manse in the city (manse being a generous term). Your founding event is up to you guys, but you were likely almost unknown until Redgrass Field put you on the map, so nothing crazy like your founder fought Aegon the Conqueror in single combat and it was a draw. Daemon's sister will be an original character played by sour, who will decide which mistress of Aegon IV she popped out of. Seeing as Aegon sired likely hundreds of bastards, I see no issue with adding one more Great Bastard to the list.

That'd be a really recent house though, not sure if room for a "Few generations". Only around 30 years. I'd be k with House Davar, first men would be cool.

I like it except, whenever I hear that motto, I just think "Emo Vampire House". But, I mean if that's what we're going for...

I mean we're gonna be in Harrenhal, so that's probably not too far off...

My concern is that the name 'Blackfort' and the imagery suggest that they somehow already owned a second castle called the Blackfort. I do like the house words though.
