What does it look like if you switch the colours of the raven and the background?

I like it.
Could you try making the raven white, and the sword black? Or the background black and the sword red, with a white raven?

I insist on the word Dark being added to the front or end of our house name. It makes us so much more sinister.

Here it is with the color scheme switched. I personally like the idea of going by the family name of "Bloodgrass," or "Redgrass," and using the red background as a representation. My only gripe with changing the color of the sword is that it represents "us," as a family... I dont want peoples eye going directly to the raven, therefore the white sword represents our honor and victory.... blah blah ![](//storage.proboards.com/6413859/thumbnailer/I6WSfI0RQhmYoboCbft_.jpg)

I'm currently looking at lists of low-ranking houses: Roote, Chambers, Keath, Lychester, Perryn, Ryger, Charlton, Wode, Terrick. Anyone have any preferences for our mother's house? Above are my earlier suggestions for minor houses. Roote, Wode and Keath sound unpretentious. I think Keath is my favourite option.

Shouldn't the raven be white? I mean I know he was called Bloodraven, but he was pretty white for a fly guy... ![](http://s33.postimg.org/vru2lgdov/House_Sigil.jpg)

If we're going blood or red grass, should definitely be a red field. And if we're such a minor minor house, would we even have a mother house? Probably formed from a commoner getting knighted who was guarding the gate or something.

My argument is that the raven is dead (black) and we the sword (white) live on. We are the freakin heroes in this timeline, and the bloodraven is a dead bird who only lives on in our Sigil.

If our father was a minor knight he might have married a very minor noblewoman.

Is she not Blackfyre? She's half sister to the king I think... That's your wife. Her last name will be determined by Sour, though it may not be Blackfyre. That has yet to be established depending on who her mother is.
