Belric grunts, having not expected Saesha's pointy elbows. He quickly picked up on her hint, spotting the dove she had gestured towards. After pointing his falcon in the right direction, he withdrew its hood and let it fly.

The peregrine falcon flies straight as a bullet, the dove lifting its wings in alarm to fly away before the perfect killing machine crashes into it, carrying the symbol of peace back to the warrior.
"Well done," Medgar commended, releasing his own bird for a flight to stretch its wings. "We'll make a falconer of you yet."

Belric let out his arm for the falcon to perch itself. After accepting the trophy, he rewarded the bird with another scratch on the pack of it's head.
"I can see why you enjoy this sport, m'lord. I may have to pick up the hobby." Belric remained nonchalant, knowing the victory had hardly been his. "Though I fear I would always be second best." He smiled at Saesha, planning on thanking her in his own special way once they returned to from the hunt.

"As I said, it is one of the few hobbies worthy of a lord," Medgar replied, as his falcon returned with a duck with its neck snapped. "Tourneys and sparring are for young men. Hawking you can do until your old age."
"The sun will be down in a few hours, milord," the Master of Hunt noted. "We should return to Riverrun." Medgar nodded, as everyone seemed to have caught some prize.
(Belric gains 10 Observation and can now roll the skill. Belric and Saesha gain 1 Disposition Level with Medgar and Lord Branstone.)

"I do not look forward to the days when I can no long spar. Though, I find less uses for a sword as each day goes by." Belric had never considered the fact that he may live long enough to grow old. The thought unnerved him, though he took solace in the prospect of raising a family. If his motivation had once been to serve a king, it had now shifted to preserving his family and building a legacy. Perhaps Daemon had seen more in Belric than even he realized, a true Lord hidden under mud and armor.
Belric rubbed the wing of his falcon, admiring it one more time. "What would you say to selling me this bird, Lord Benfrey?" He looked towards the man he was addressing. "I would like to pursue Hawking further, and have grown quite fond of this one. That way, when I have the two of you to my home, I can make for better competition."

"That is actually one of the birds from my mews," Medgar replied, as all the birds his Master of Hunt had brought with him had been. "They are each worth more than their weight in gold. I would speak to that brother of yours you spoke of so highly about breeding and training ones for your own use."

"A true disappointment," Belric said with a smile, brushing his failure off with a bit of humor. "I will do as you say, my brother will be grateful for the challenge I'm sure. Though I fear you have tainted me, and that I shall forever want for the best."

"Then I would hope he is half the falconer you say," Tully replied. "Much like finding a good Master of Horse to breed stallions, it is all about finding talent for the station." Tully's own Master of Hunt blushed at the indirect praise.

"Of course, my lord." He said, refraining from commenting further. Belric felt like he had done well, thanks to his wife, and was content to leave the conversation at that. Though, he did smile inwardly at the thought of Happy tearing through Lord Benfrey's priceless collection.
