The plains, forests, hills, and endless rivers over which the Tullys rule.

10th day of the 3rd moon
At dawn the morning after the feast, a trumpet sounds just outside the walls of Riverrun, signaling that the sport of princes is about to begin and those participating should gather forthwith.

Belric arrived at the appropriate time, ready for the day's events. He had never been a Hawker, nor seen the sport performed in person. However, he prided himself on being a quick learned, wether the statement was true or not.
When he heard the trumpets call, Belric gathered with the other participants, greeting Lord Medgar when they met.

Lord Medgar was waiting, in riding leathers and a fine mud red jerkin, sword at his waist and a bow hanging from his saddle. One hand held the reins and the other was sheathed in a deer skin glove. Atop it sat a hooded white Gyr Falcon, the rarest and most prized of birds, talons wrapped around the supple leather, two accord bells hanging from its legs attached by a small leather strip called a bewit. A man sat near him with a few spare birds in cages, presumably Tully's Master of Hunt.
Ser Torren looked better prepared for a battle than a hunt, armed and armored, his horse in its barding. He lacked a hawk, though there was a crossbow hanging from his saddle.
Besides the assembled handful of Tully guardsmen, there was a third man Belric did not recognize, a lord if he ever saw one, in a fine hunter green doublet, with a white pointed goatee and a jovial nature. He had a leather glove on as well, a northern goshawk perched upon it. He was flanked by two guardsmen in matching green ensembles.
"Good morning, Lord Blackfort," Medgar said in greeting. "I invited Lord Branstone to join us, as he is an avid hawker. I hope you do not mind."

Yseult arrives with Lady Saesha, she would stay out the way of the main hawking party, staying quietly around her Lady, always in the background as she had been throughout the trip, but be close by should Saesha require her services.

"Not at all, m'lord" replied Belric with a dip of his head in greeting. "The more the merrier."
Belric turned to Benfrey, "Well met, Lord Branstone."

Yoren had come alongside his lord, armed with his hammer and dressed in his armor. He had gone with the decision to keep his mouth shut, but still look around at his surroundings, and at the hawk to be used. He made a note to draw it when he had time to.

"Well met indeed," Benfrey replied with a bark of laughter that started the other birds, though his falcon seemed well accustomed to it. "I hear this is your first bit of hawking. Well I'll tell you now, they call it the sport of princes of a reason. You sit on your ass all day while the bird does the work. My kind of diversion!" He laughed again, before noticing there were women present and straightening up, offering a respectful nod to Saesha, hoping she wouldn't take offense to the veiled insult regarding royals.
The Master of Hunt cleared his throat.
"As you were without your own raptor, milord, I've taken the liberty of bringing out some options for you and your lady if she wishes to participate. I have a northern goshawk, peregrine falcon, a harris hawk and a red-tailed hawk."

"You have heard true, this is a first for me." Belric said simply. He could not help but see the irony in a Lord playing a sport where he does little to no work. Much like war, those of high rank sat and watched as others carried out their wishes.
Belric walked over to the birds and inspected them individually. His eyes settled on the Peregrine Falcon, it's head cocked sideways as it watched him. "Thank you Lord Benfrey. I will take the falcon."
He looked to Saesha, curious if she was going to be participating as well.

"A fine choice," the hunstman commended, offering Belric a fine leather glove, which the bird perched on, curiously looking around, even as the hood was placed over its head.
Ser Simon sat his mount beside Saesha, armed and armored as Torren, the grim knight looking strangely out of place outside in the sun, his pale flesh already threatening to burn.

Belric slipped his hand into the glove, retrieving the bird from the Lord.
"Thank you, I believe I am ready for instruction. My bastard brother would have a good laugh at seeing me like this. He has a gift for Hawking, one that I can only hope has rubbed off on me."

The Master of Hunt motioned to the remaining birds, looking to Saesha, curious as well if she would be participating.

Saesha saw a lot of expectant eyes on her and nodded. Sighing in her mind but not out loud. "Like my husband, I am afraid I never acquired a skill for this particular passtime."

"Thankfully, it does not take much talent to pick it up," Medgar replied, though his Master of Hunt looked as if he had just been struck. "Once the birds are trained, it is fairly simple. Besides, what is there to fear from birds from a people that trained dragons? Is it not in the blood?"
