Lord Harroway's Town was perhaps only the fourth largest township in the Riverlands, coming somewhere after Maidenpool, Saltpans, and Harrentown in terms of population and tax revenue. However, as Lord Lucamore Roote, a notorious wastrel, was already owed loyalty and taxes from two of those places, it really didn't matter in the slightest what sort of shape his backyard was in. He left administrative duties to a rapidly alternating line of castellans, stewards, and lesser nobles whose reigns lasted until they started to get in the way of Lord Lucamore's hedonism or swaying political alliances.
Thus it was that the legal center of the Bay of Claws was also its most lawless. Thus men like the Ferrymen thrive here. 'Thus sin triumphs.'
Indeed, these three words were painted on various walls in the town, no doubt the artwork of some pious and conscientious citizen. There was plenty of such graffiti surrounding the Lady's Dragon, whose standard was... well, it had a lady but that certainly was no dragon she was riding. Hopefully their contact Simon would be awaiting here, as promised.
Nearby in the town square, a town crier calls out the news of the day.
"Hear ye, hear ye!! His Excellency Lord Roote doth proclaim the following! That any man caught harboring or aiding the profulgate bandit Alyn Redhands shall be hung by the neck until dead, excepting those killed through heroism. To this effect, Lord Roote promises ten gold dragons for each head of this false pantheon of horrors. Alyn Redhands himself is valued at seven hundred gold dragons..." Someone yells in disbelief.
"Yes, my lady, seven hundred golden dragons for the head of the bloody cannibal himself, to be paid out upon delivery to Stone Hedge and Lord Bracken itself. Lords Tully, Bracken, and Roote have all contributed to this momentous prize owing to their bountiful sense of duty and love for their smallfolk. When Lord Medway's guards discovered the horror, the living nightmare at that farm each corpse adorned by his bloody pawprint, one of his own knights skinned, yes, skinned, good people. Was there ever such a fiend as Alyn Redhands to stalk these lands?"

Tim perked up as he heard the mention of seven hundred gold, a higher amount than they'd expected. Yet he knew that the group would have to be careful in order to avoid association with their former comrade, particularly when they got closer to Stone Hedge. To start with, they needed to stay alert as long as they remained in Harroway's Town.
"Let's not linger in the streets," he murmured to the others, pausing to admire the picture of a woman drawn onto a nearby wall. "Think we should just get on wi' it and get out o' 'ere as soon as we can."

"Yes. Let's," agreed Vex, fixed her hood, and set the course to the fence's place. The last time she'd left this town, she'd been chased down with hounds and almost brought back in chains. "The sooner the better."

Harlan did not hide under a hood, nor worry about being seen, he simply walked. He walked through the town as if he had lived there his whole life, head up and eyes forward, not surveying the crowed to see if anyone noticed him. When it came to blending in, confidence was key.
He strolled along next to Vex, and upon her request to get out of sight, he leaned in, "We should make for the Lady's Dragon. Our contact Simon will be waiting for us, though he is expecting Longinch."

Harlan was also not easily distinguishable from other peasants, nor did he have a bounty in this particular town.
Vex looked to him briefly from under her hood. "That's what we're doing," she said, and continued towards their destination.

Harlan nodded, pausing briefly between steps, falling in behind Vex. As they approached the Lady’s Dragon, he looked around to see if he could spot anything out of the ordinary, or if they were being followed.

Harlan sees no one looking at them directly. It seems the entire town is enthralled by descriptions of their gruesome exploits, though none of their names are ever mentioned. It appears Alyn's vanity has shielded them for now.

Once they presumably made it to The Lady's Dragon, Vex parked her horse in front of the tavern, picked up whatever loot she could carry in one hand and opened the door to Harlan with a slight smile to use him as cannon fodder if necessary.
"Tim, Daven, guard our shit," she said, motioning at their horses and belongings, and gave the street another once-over before entering the establishment.

Barley was fine with entering third, carrying a few bits but not a lot, not wanting to be the obvious target in case anything went wrong, but keeping at eye out upon entry for any sense of a trap.

Tim leaned in to Daven once the others had gone into the establishment.
"'Tis a pity we ain't got time to stick around in town. Could do with a night o' nothin' but drinkin'. Or mayhaps wenchin'."
He grinned slyly. "Visited a certain tavern last time I was 'ere. There's a sweet lass, name o' Jenny, landlord's daughter. Hair down to her bum and breasts like melons. gave 'er the night of 'er life. She was pretty good too." His grin turned lewd. "I'd like to wi' visit 'er again. Few drinks, a bed, best night I'd 'ave all year. Reckon you, me an' 'Arlan should go wenchin' when we gets a chance."

Daven looks at Tim sideways before scratching the stubble on his chin. "After what happened to Longinch I think I'm gonna' avoid wenching for a time. Never know who's gonna put that noose around your neck, though I'm sure this Jenny of yours might still be here if you want to go have a tumble."

The tavern was bustling with activity, so loud that Tim's sudden change in accent went unnoticed. Sailors, traders, drunks, veterans, guardsmen, smugglers, gamblers, and crooks all made merry as a troupe of bards played a jaunty tune. What conversation could be overheard mostly concerned the grisly handiwork of the Red Hand Gang that had been discovered just over the border, an entire family of farmers butchered, along with a menagerie of horrors that left even the most hardened looking man shocked, shaken, and nauseated at the thought. A few, those who had made the trip to the Tourney at Harrenhal discussed the prowess of the winners with wonder, while many more made lewd remarks about Lord Roote's new Blackfort bride.
As no one in the gang had met Simon, they would presumably need to ask around.

Like a wave of euphoria the clamor of a busy tavern washed over him. Harlan smiled with glee, feeling both alive and at home, all at he same time. He observed the room, trying to get his bearings. He kept an eye out for one of the working staff, whom may be helpful answering his questions about tavern regulars.

Even in the busy tavern, it does not take a particularly keen eye to find a serving wench.
"What'll it be darlin'?" the woman asked him.

Harlan smiled at her and took a step forward, "I was supposed to be meeting someone here, an old acquaintance from years ago. But now I see that it was fate that brought me into this tavern today, so that I could meet you." He brought the charm out in full force, with a heavy side of cheese.
