“Nightingale would be best, I am an early riser” Barley and looked around the room at the patrons to see who was about.

The tavern was becoming crowded now as late afternoon gave way to early evening, citizens of Lord Harroway's Town calling an end to the work day to enjoy an evening of merriment and leisure. The Lady's Dragon seemed to draw patrons from various walks of life, the establishment soon full of courtiers and knights down to vagabonds and urchins, all come to this particular communal watering hole. Occasionally, Barley saw someone enter the back office for a meeting with Simon.

She tried to keep an eye out on information of the people visiting Simon, if they looked wealthy, or poor, what their jobs might be.

Much like the patronage at the Lady's Dragon, those that visited Simon varied as well in class, wealth, and station. A lowborn ruffian entered looking smug and came out with a heavier purse which he immediately began to spend on wenches, dice, and drinks. An equally smug courtier entered and left looking decidedly less smug. A nervous looking merchant entered and left clutching his hand in agony, the smell of burnt flesh and a scent Barley couldn't quite place wafting through the air behind him. The barmaid looked uncomfortable as the man went by, doing her best to keep her eyes fixed on the mug she was cleaning.

"Everything okay?" Barley asked as she noticed the look, being tactful enough to wait until the man was out of earshot.

The woman rubs her arm instinctively, not making eye contact with Barley. "I'm fine," she says with false cheer. "The boss is just exacting with his figures. You don't become a successful businessman in Lord Harroway's Town without knowing how to handle sticky fingers."

Barley nodded as if it was advice, and wondered if the woman knew what happened to people who took a bit off the side personally, but like the woman herself, she knew better than to ask of it. She decided to head to her room, not wanting to be around if the boy came back for his stuff. Her not having robbed him was likely a point in her favour for not being searched for.

Considering the state she had left the squire in, the only thing he would probably search her out for was another roll in the hay.
Her room isn't quite as nice as the squire's suite was (though lacks the clutter of empty wine bottles his had) but still exponentially more comfortable than what Barley had become accustomed to since starting her life of banditry.

She would take on more missions like this if she got the comfort of rooms like this one.
She took some time lying on the bed and enjoying the comfort of it, then tried to see if there was anything interesting about the room, if she could hear anything about her neighbours or anything out of any windows or nooks. She was a curious sort.

As it's still relatively early in the evening, if he neighboring rooms are rented out, no one appears to be in them at the moment. Likely they are downstairs getting a drink or supper. While the squire's window had enjoyed a lovely view of the Trident, Barley's room appeared to face a brick wall and back alley. Below she can see one of Simon's henchmen rolling a large oak barrel out onto into the alley, where two sailors await him with a cart. After a few words, which Barley cannot make out, and the exchange of a few silver pieces, the three life the barrel to load it onto the cart. One of the sailors almost loses his grip on the barrel, but catches it at the last moment, earning a tongue lashing from the henchman to be careful and that it'll be all their heads if they drop it. Once the barrel is loaded, the trio converse some more, seeming to barter, before the henchman apparently decides the negotiation is above his pay grade, and brings the two sailors inside, presumably for a word with Simon. The cart and its contents are left unattended.

Barley moves away from the window, deciding this was the wrong time and place to be getting involved in such things,
