Unable to detect Simon’s real intentions, Harlan conceded to the man’s arguments. “A man has only his judgement to trust in this world, but I appreciate your candor. If it’s Roote’s good you want, we can get it.”
Harlan glares at Vex, with both of his eyes. He never took well to being scolded. Was she as blind as she appeared? Though he had questions regarding her leadership, he obeyed and stopped pressing the matter.
He nearly spit when Boros applauded his good intentions. “Of course, my new round friend. We’re in the business of theft, not murder.” Harlan thought himself a skilled liar, but he had trouble selling that line.

Boros let out a deep hearty laugh, one of those that old man usually do that moves their belly up an down in a very joyful manner.
"Rotund, that's a good one. Funny and honorfulm" He smiled and slapped Harlan on the back again. "I like you, Blondie. Hard to find someone with your ethics in this line of business."

Barley crossed her arms at the scene that unfolded but remained silent. Same shit, different day.

“Well, if we are done here...” Simon trailed off, motioning towards his door, the most polite way he could muster of telling everyone to get the fuck out of his office. “The serving staff will be informed that your drinks are on the house. Do try not to abuse the privilege.”

With his age, Boros' had already learned well the meaning of the idiom "free drinks" and being in dire straits as he was, it wasn't likely that he'd let that opportunity pass. He bowed to Masters Simon and Augie, whistled for his dogs to follow him and made his way downstairs.
Boros had a hard time getting a sense what was ridiculous. To him it didn't matter what others were thinking of him, as long as he was having fun. He also had a hard time holding his liquor and after three quick cups, he was already in the middle of the room, very drunk, dancing a very old fashioned dance and singing.
I was born on a Stone Hedge street where the royal drums did beat And those loving Red feet they tramped all over us And each and every night when me father came home tight He'd invite the neighbors outside with this chorus
Come out ye Red and Blacks, come out and fight me without slack Show your wife how you won battles down in the Stormlands Tell them how that Bittersteel made you run like hell and squeal On the green and lovely lanes of Harrenhall
Come let us hear you tell thereon how you slandered great King Daemon When you thought him well and truly persecuted Where are the sneers and jeers that you bravely let us hear When our heroes of last year were executed?
Come out ye Red and Blacks, come out and fight me without slack Show your wife how you won battles down in the Stormlands Tell them how that Bittersteel made you run like hell and squeal On the green and lovely lanes of Harrenhall
Come tell us how you slew them poor peasants two by two Like some beggars they had no spears and nor bows and arrows How you bravely faced one heavily armed at Kingswood Front And you frightened that poor fella to his marrow
Come out ye Red and Blacks, come out and fight me without slack Show your wife how you won battles down in the Stormlands Tell them how that Bittersteel made you run like hell and squeal On the green and lovely lanes of Harrenhall
Well the day is coming fast and the time is here at last When each yeoman will be cut aside before us And if there be a need, sure me kids would sing, "Godspeed," With a verse or two of my good chorus
Come out ye Red and Blacks, come out and fight me without slack Show your wife how you won battles down in the Stormlands Tell them how that Bittersteel made you run like hell and squeal On the green and lovely lanes of Harrenhall

Barley sat at a table nursing a drink of watered down wine. She wanted to get planning, and needed a clear head for it. She approached Vex.
"Do you want me to go on ahead and scout out the area?" She asked, "I think I am one of the least recognisable in the bunch"

“Be my guest,” Simon replied, rolling up the map and handing it to Vex. “Do try and get your house in order. Your work at the farm did not exactly inspire confidence.” Vex accepted the map with a nod and picked up the bag of silver Simon had readied for them. "Not my work," she replied. She was about to turn around and leave, but looked to the fence once more as if something had only now occurred to him. "Say..." she said, glancing at the drink in his hand, "you wouldn't have known anything about the nature of these... farmers before sending us on that job, would you now?" she inquired, studying him for any sign of dishonesty or perhaps a nervous tick in his response. “You will have to ask my cousin about that,” Simon replied easily. “Your predecessor paid his dues to the Ferrymen and in exchange was provided intelligence for three jobs of potential profit. I collected the intelligence for this job, while Augie is responsible for the intelligence related to the farm job and the Pinkmaiden prospect.” He motioned to the relatively heavy sack of silver Vex was carrying. “Though, whatever the variables at the farmhouse, it seems to have been profitable, which is all you can really ask for in this line of work and the only assurance the Ferrymen provide.”
It did not seem the man was lying. In fact, he seemed to be laboring under the assumption everyone was privy to the information in Longinch’s job tips.

Daven keeps an eye on the horses from a nearby shadow that the building casts. After clouting a little villager on the ear for getting to handsy with one of the damn mounts he sits back and pulls out a few shafts of wood and arrow heads to start replenishing his arrow count from the night before.

Daven crafts arrows almost from muscle memory as he waits with the horses, until he had a full quiver once more. He puts special care into one of the arrows as he waits, ensuring it is perfectly balanced.

She asked, "I think I am one of the least recognisable in the bunch" Richard, who had no interest in alcohol, free or not, had been skulking around the tavern after exiting the office and overheard Barley's words. "And just what do you know about scouting?" he asked Barley as he slid up behind her. His tone suggested he clearly doubted her capacity to properly scout for an ambush of this magnitude.

Tim was in the tavern, drinking his ale. Almost finished, he was on the brink of going back to the horses.

Harlan didn't stand when Simon dismissed them, he still had a question to ask. "Once we've stolen the gold, are we to return here with your cut, or do you have somewhere you'd like us to convoke to avoid suspicion?"

“When the job is done, one or more of you, I do not care who, will return here to hand me my finder’s fee,” Simon replied. “If you do not leave any witnesses, no suspicions should be aroused, and judging by the farm job you do not have a problem with tying up loose ends.”
