I'm the grandson of grandpappy Robert's brother, who had a falling out and moved to the Reach at some point.

You can edit your post. Orland probably won't be as impressed though.

Yoren looked towards the voice, smiling as he saw who it was, "Ser Willis. It's nice to see you as well." He said, walking over to the man and holding out a hand to shake it, "I've been well, trying my best to keep Beric safe, and to do some drawing." he said honestly. It's spelled Belric... just saying.

(Alyn's wound is completely healed. He also finds himself a little too comfortable with Harlan, who receives 4 points in Medical and may want to avoid rolling 100s in the future.) This one amused me.

Alyn's latest cowardice pays off as the mounted opponent takes aim at the closer Donal instead. Fortunately for Donal, the bolt merely grazes past a chain link in his armor. Both brothers, frustrated with their aim and not willing to waste time reloading, switch to longswords. Almost avoiding Alyn, Cyrus charges at the obviously wounded Donal instead, crying aloud, "It's Longpecker hisself! I seen dat armor afore!! Watch yerself!!" Cleanshaven Fenton on foot, ready to impress his elder brother, charges the cyclopean woman on the horse whilst surmising, "Dis must be Longpecker's peckering meat den!!" The cowardly Alyn who had already singlehandly killed three men in the last day or so - two of them mounted and heavily armed, went after Cyrus as he engaged Donal. He thought about drawing his longsword to engage the man, but went for his knife instead, as he felt more competent. - Small Blades: 79 - Horsemanship: 40 - Plate Armor Don’t forget got thrown into a river like a sack of potatoes.

And how feasible do you think it is to use a knife on horseback when you have a sword? That seems incredibly OOC, no matter how much more competent you are with a knife.. Imagine how ridiculous it’d be trying to use a dagger while in the saddle. We’re going to have to impose a -20 penalty on that.

I could for example use the horse to get close, then when next to Cyrus, throw myself off the horse at Cyrus to engage at close quarters. Don't know yet. See what happens.

Well we can re-examine the penalty when and if that happens. Just letting you know that if you try fighting a guy on a horse while you’re on a horse, and he has a sword while you have a knife, you’re taking a penalty. Especially when you have a sword just sitting there in its scabbard!

"Who said anything about running?" said Alyn. "If I wanted to just survive, I'd be at the Wall already. Yet here I am." Alyn paused and ran his thumb along the edge of his knife, a smile appearing on his face as he remembered. "The 'famous Alyn Redhands' you say? So how did I supposedly become so 'famous'?" Careful, Alyn. You might cut yourself with that edge.
