It's actually clearly stated that one of the key factors in the Third Siege of King's Landing is that Daemon commanded the first two and Bittersteel commanded the third one. Daemon, while a great commander, was a lot less inclined to brutalize his future capital than Bittersteel was. Saesha would have given perfectly good advice, and if Daemon had been a little less noble in his strategy, he might have made it into KL before Petyr Baratheon showed up to chase him off Maekar's doorstep.

How is that confusing? Belric not caring for them personally does not mean he doesn't think Dacey's an idiot for getting them all killed. And if you were to not quote so selectively, you would see in the next sentence he still chastices Edmure for his actions. Yet if Edmure had gotten them all killed, we'd all be better off

It's a bit uncouth to post your own quotes here, but I wanted to share our almost first death scene.
Through the open window, Nyles can just make out Maiden's Crossing past the rooftops. Visenya would be at the Red Keep this time of day, but that room where he almost lay with her would still be there. As he makes the leap, Nyles feels a strong hand catch hold of his cloak and drag him back into the room in the same instant he feels something cold press into his back. He is halfway out the window, almost floating. It is a fine cut through the heart, and his brain has only just enough time to remember that room where he might have lived before he is dragged back into the room where he will die.
(Nyles Blackfort dies rolling a 62 against Benjy's 164)

I feel cheated. Aranya had already died twice by this point in Dragons.

Damnit, I had you in the death pool Nyles. How dare you selfishly survive and deny me my delicious experience bonus.

Saesha nodded back and motioned for Belricto join them also. "Lord Bracken." She ami,ed as she approached, "pleasant weather." She imagined his sense of humour was as fine tuned as Aegor's. ![](//storage.proboards.com/6413859/thumbnailer/TTJb02JtaJ9GRhHcb2WR.jpg)

"Stranded less than a half day's ride from my keep. Anyone that does not agree the gods have a sense of humor is a fool," he remarked standing, motioning for a few of his men to clear out and make space for Lord and Lady Blackfort at the table. "My heir will have converted it into a brother and gambling hall by the time I make my return at this rate." I saw this yesterday and forgot to quotebook it. Does Whalen have a cloning machine?

"Dacey, I can tell you true: No other place in this world or the next can possibly be as wonderful as a Westerosi tavern. Good food, good drink, good company. What could be better?" ![](http://66.media.tumblr.com/e070f463987376e543254373c70de671/tumblr_inline_ntt0047IVR1r0xdmr_500.png)

(What did you just say? I haven't read every post in every thread since I last logged in). The next person I have to edit in the date for, gets a coin flip. You have been warned.

Could the date be posted in a scrolls thing at the top of the site, like I think was done with Dragons? Or made an announcement? I don't think we really need the "Welcome to Harrenhal!" posted everywhere anymore.

I update it regularly in the Season and Date thread, but I'll sticky it.

I know you do, but the issue for me is that my main device for interneting at the moment is my shitass iPad at the pub across the street, and it does not play well with more than a couple of tabs open at a time. So easier acces would be appreciated.
