She saw his eyes wandering and had to bite her lip to prevent herself saying something she might regret.
"I ought to seek my bed soon," she said with a hint of regret. "I would like to continue testing your luck but I would not wish to keep you from your manly interests."

"Yes, yes, wouldn't want that..." he muttered, absent-minded, hardly listening now, not even bothering to hide it as his eyes followed a particularly buxom serving woman as she passed by.

Seeing him give up on her, she had to suppress a most unladylike desire to kick him in the crotch,
"Goodnight then," she said. "I'll see you another day, perhaps."
She feigned nonchalance as she sauntered away.

The heir to Stone Hedge did not even seem to notice, muttering something unintelligible before following the buxom servant with the drink tray like a hound after a table scrap.

Edmure could not quite work out why but the smile of Daenarys Stone towards him seemed to become colder. His own smile faded slightly and then he shrugged. If he had said something that had offended her, then it was unintentional. He looked to the drunk Myrcella. "She is ready for her bedchamber. Does she have a father, brother or husband here?" "Aye, her husband is the lad sitting at the table." He was just as drunk as his new wife, though no doubt he drank for courage and not distraction. He clearly over calculated the required ale. "And I'm afraid I don't know what Lord Reyne looks like, but the only lions I've seen so far are gold ones. Perhaps he's avoiding the Lannisters? Why do ask, Ser demure?" Dany appeared quite suspicious of his intentions.

"I hate seeing ladies in distress." said Edmure gallantly. "Especially married ones whose husbands should be looking after their welfare."
Edmure sat down beside the drunk girl. She appeared to be sobering slightly. "Are you alright my lady?" he asked in a soothing tone. "You look a little unwell."

Myrcella had the rare fortune of always appearing beautiful, no matter the circumstances. Certain especially conceited people would claim it was a product of good breeding, like a horse always having a fine coat or a family with a long line of famous knights. In truth, it had more to do with being able to afford the most cutting edge beauty products from across the sea. None of which Edmure knew, of course.
"Mmm... I'm okaaay." The heiress leaned on her arm. "Who are yoouu? Are you one of Papa's knights? You're too pretty to be a smelly Crownlander..."

Edmure laughed. If she was this comely when worse for wear, she must be stunning when sober and fully coherent he though.
"I've never been called 'pretty' before." he replied. "But I'm from the Riverlands my lady. Definitely not one of those smelly Crownlanders."
Edmure hoped Tallahar, who did smell slightly of the latrines, would not come too close. The young blonde was probably too drunk to smell his half-brother anyway.
"My name is Edmure. I'm from Harrenhal. And your name is?"

"My Papa is the richest. Man. Ever. How do you like that, pretty boy?"

"I like it very well Myrcella Reyne of Castamere." said Edmure with another laugh. "Where is your Papa now?"

"I like it very well Myrcella Reyne of Castamere." said Edmure with another laugh. "Where is your Papa now?" She shrugged. "Somewhere in the city. Doing business. What's your last name? Please don't be a royal bastard. Just lie to me if you are."

"No need to lie. I'm not a royal bastard. Far from it. Nor am I a noble bastard. I'm not even a small-folk bastard." said Edmure smiling at her reassuringly.
"Blackfort is my family name." His voice took on a somewhat self-depreciating, mocking tone. "You may have heard of us?"

I'm sorry I called her a country mouse, that was unbecoming of me..." She seemed genuinely remorseful.

"Yes, Alice's brother." replied Edmure. "I did not know you are friends. You must accompany her to Harrenhal when she visits. My brother has made me the castellan so I will be sure to welcome you with honor as befits a daughter of House Reyne, especially as one as fair as yourself. Despite the stories, I am assured there are no ghosts, so you will be quite safe."
He smiled his most dazzling smile at her. [Persuasion: 50]

Well, I don't know why I couldn't."She smiled at him and stroked his hand with pale, perfect fingers. "Perhaps on the way back to Castamere, I could convince my husband to see the sights..."
