"Probably more than one," he joked back. "I want to be a knight, of course," he said, "but I plan on helping the king finish the job he started," he said. "Maybe go to Harrenhal one day...but I'm not sure I want to live with the rest of my family. Sisters will be all gone and there's no...adventure in being a house knight. I think if I take a different apperoach I can end up with a nice little house somewhere. Maybe some landed knight has no sons and a daughter who needs a man to help her." He shrugged. "But first the dragons have to die." He smiled. "I hope you can open a restaurant some day. I like to eat." He looks about. "A nice dress and learning to read, you could take this place over," he said.

"Aye..." She looked around, fancying her chances. "Mayhaps Ah could... With a little help from my friends." She drank some ale before asking, "Ah have to ask. And Ah may wish Ah 'adn't. But why did you fight for the blacks? Is it just because your family did, or did Lord 'Arroway tell you to? Did you just not like the real king?"

"I was nine," he said. "My brothers thought Daemon was the answer to the weakness of his brother." He shrugged. "And Lord Roote called them to fight and they did. I was too young to make a decision, but I cannot imagine serving any king but His Grace now," he said. "I assure you is have never been a squire to a red dragon King." He rubbed his jaw. "If I had been an adult at the time...who knows?" He said.

"Never," he said simply. "Maybe I'd have been cursed to die a nameless landless knight of a gate, but everyone gets their chance at making themselves...more," he said, "no matter how fleeting a time it is. I have mine now. I plan on strangling it and never letting go."

Visenya grinned at him and raised a glass. "To strangling it and never letting go!"

Nyles took a good drink. "Ever," he agreed as he finished his crab. "May I escort you Home?"

"To Maiden's Crossing?" She blushed and looked down at her likewise empty plate. "If you like. It is not far from here."

He rises and offers her an arm. "I don't know the city well, best time to learn is with a girl," he said. "Lead on, m'lady."

Visenya accepts his arm and is already leaning into his shoulder as they leave.

Maiden's Crossing, as Visenya described, is indeed a hive of buildings around a small plaza. There is a weathered statue of the figure herself in the center, atop a frozen fountain. No one here recalls when it was erected. Even Grand Maester Alford would struggle to recall.
Visenya pointed up at a dark window. "That there's muh room. A lot more space without my Pa and brother. Muh Ma cleans a nearby manse, so it's... You know..."

Nyles swallowed. "I'm sure it's lovely," he said. "I really need to get back to the castle," he kissed her hand, "because I already had to kill a guy tonight and His Grace probably won't be very happy with me, but I am coming back," he said, "right after I talk to my sister. You deserve a better life, Vis," he said.

She slowly drifted away from him, a smile on her face. "Stay safe, Nyles Blackfort. You know where Ah work and live. Put that knowledge to good use, why doncha?"

"I will," he said. "I'll be by shortly, once I've talked to Alice." He kissed her fingers like she was a proper lady and then headed to the Red Keep.
