"Just a flesh wound, I've had far worse," Ser Simon replied, taking off his helm, his face drenched with sweat and his heavy breath visible in the cold air. Nonetheless, he nodded his head in respect to the maester. Then he began barking orders to the men, both his own and his dead nephew's. "Run back to your towers and report the news. I want every man that can walk in this yard now to swear fealty to our new lord. It's time we took our castle back. Double time!" The knights ran off to do just that and before long Ser Simon and the remaining 97 remaining of the original 120 Knights of Harrenhal were gathered in the courtyard, fully armed and armored. Someone had even helped the wounded Ser Thomas out to swear his oath.

Violet had watched the beginning of the fight, white-faced and anxious, but, once it got bloody she had turned away and walked across the yard. But curiosity won out and she turned around when Bruce asked to yield and she witnessed the man's death. She turned away but not quick enough toavoid seeing Bruce choking on his own blood. She shuddered and covered her face with her hands.

Hoster stood beside Belric through the whole fealty ceremony, often scowling at Ser Symon. Fucking knights and their trials by combat, dogshit that the whole thing had been. Had he been in charge the old creep would be hanging by the Gates.

Percival stepped forward and brusquely began examining Ser Simon's wound. He worked on it silently. It was not a serious wound, but he cleaned it and bandaged it easily. Then when he saw Ser Thomas being dragged into the yard, he walked quickly there to bend down and do what he could for the man. He frowned at the man and shook his head with scorn at the deep wound.

(Success. +1 to Medicine)
He manages to disinfect Simon's wound so it would not fester and staunch the bleeding. Ser Thomas, on the other hand, had a long deep gash up his leg that had cut into the muscle. Someone in Kingspyre had apparently had some experience with field medicine, for it had not yet festered and had been properly bandaged. Still, there was still work to do, and Percival did it well, stitching the wound up and applying a salve to prevent infection and numb the afflicted area. He had probably cut the lad's recovery time in half.

Percival looked at Ser Thomas and shook his head, "Looks like you need some lessons in your craft. Which of your friends worked on your leg? He bandaged it wrong. Infection could have gotten into your leg, and I would have to take it. Then you would be completely useless instead of only half useless." He stood and walked back to stand behind Saesha.

Dacey materialized next to Belric, hiding her disdain for this untimely (not to mention gross) public display of affection with her usual blank expression and wondering if her brother had gone soft already. She followed the Whents with her eyes a while before speaking up; questioning Belric's decisions wasn't really something she ever did. "Why this?" she asked coolly. "If the old man wins, then what? You'll go treaty with your people, the people you're supposed to protect, backed by the man who abducted and butchered their children?" she inquired, still looking at the scene before them. "Lothson is responsible for the murder of those children." He said to his sister with a grimace. Belric was not trying to justify Simon's actions, only relaying the truth. "In the eyes of the law, he is far less guilty than a sworn knight who murdered his lord. Who would you rather me trust, a man who serves me blindly, or one who questions my every move? There was little else to be done here, be thankful for the blood that was spared by Saesha's wisdom." With that said, Belric got to his feet and walked over to Ser Simon who was having his wounds tended. "I would hear your oath now Ser. There is still much to be done, and I have need of your loyalty."

Ser Simon drew his swords and placed them on the ground before Belric, the 97 other knights doing the same. It took Ser Thomas a moment longer, partly because of his injuries, and partly because he was still reeling from the maester's abysmal bedside manner.
"I am yours, my lord. I will shield your back, keep your counsel, and give my life for yours if need be. I swear it by the Old Gods and the New." The others echoed the words.

"It is my vow that you shall always have a place by my hearth, and meat and mead at my table. " Berlic spoke loudly, looking over Ser Simon to include all of the men knelt before him. The next part tasted bitter in Belric's mouth. "I pledge to ask no service of you that may bring you dishonor. I swear it by the old gods and the new. Arise, knights of Harrenhal." Belric offered a hand to help Ser Simon to his feet. "Have Jamie the Smith freed from the armory, and bring him to me unharmed."

"Freed?" Ser Simon inquired as he tood, realizing Belric had clearly misunderstood the predicament. "My lord, that brigand is holed up there with at least 400 other angry armed peasants in defiance of your rule."

Ser Simon did so, along with the other Knights of Harrenhal, boots clanging in perfect unison as they marched.
(Everyone move to the Barracks Hall & Armory Thread. This will likely be the last event before I let you all loose on the castle, open up seconds, open up the economy, open up spy networks, and open up building projects.)

As everybody prepared to follow Lord Belric to the Armory, Hoster approached one of the Knights he had guessed had been with Ser Symon in the Granaries. There was one still going on that annoyed him even more than the demon loving bastard...
"Oy, boyo..." Hoster said, landing his hand on the man's shoulder with the gentleness of an elephant. "Ye kno' where ah can get me self some wine? Feel like mah throat is dry like a dornish cunt."

Saesha walked to Belric, "perhaps we should task Ser Simon with the process of overseeing the grain being split into rations for the towns people?" Saesha suggested, giving Belric a pointed look.

"We have a few casks in the storerooms of Wailing, milord, but is this really the time?"
