Dany Stone, used to angry city folk, simply took her frightened daughter by the hand and walked directly through the growing crowd. She avoided looking anyone in the eye and politely asked to pass when impeded. If they had known who her father and husband were, they might not have been so inclined to treat a mother with such respect.

Nyles debated killing everyone there, or at least starting a fight that'd turn into a massacre, but he got on the other side of the ladies and went to walk through. He kept his hand close to his dagger; he'd never be able to pull a sword in time in the crowd, but a dagger could hardly miss. He took Alice's arm in a gallant fashion. May as well look chivalrous before butchering a crowd.

Suddenly, Richard was lying on the hard floor before the High Septon's chamber, with Daemon staring down at him. "Gods, man, what's come over you?" Richard shakes his head, and clambers to his feet, embarrassed by his king witnessing this... thing. The fits had never come like this. It had never been like this, this vivid. He had always been able to hide it before, it had just been for seconds. This was different. His mind raced while his mouth said "A fit, your grace. My deepest apologies. It has happened rarely since I was a child. I also..." the man hesitated. He was his liege, and he debated telling him what he had seen.

(Only relevant skills listed)
Alice Blackfort Small Blades: 70 Seduction: 86 Charm: 81 Persuasion: 75
Nyles Blackfort -Swords (+5 Against Leather): 65 -Small Blades (+5 in Tight Quarters): 30
Ser Harlan Hawick 80 Swords (+5 Against Leather) 30 Unarmed combat (-10 against leather, -20 against chain, -30 against plate) Chain (40 Points) Shield (20 Points) 40 Charm (Used to Raise Disposition and curry favors once it is high enough)
The nobles begin their trek through the mob. A few seem to give them uneasy looks, but none immediately halt them. The crowd has grown even larger, but they can just barely make out the other armed nobility gathering near the Crone's statue. If they can make it to there, they should be fine. The Kingsguard wear plate and could cut through this untrained group like melting butter even without it.
Suddenly, Sooty's voice cries out, "Benjy Blue Eyes says that lot is highborn! Stop them!"
Round 1
A tall, thin boy, perhaps only a year older than Nyles, attempts to grab Alice. The squire defends his sister's honor by planting a dagger in his gullet. As he lays on the floor steadily dying, two older men come for Harlan and Myrcella, figurehead of this heroic cause. In his chainmail, the knight is already a daunting target, but faith and famine oft cause people to lose their wits. His armored fist shatters the first man's nose, cheekbones, teeth, jawbone, and likelihood of an active love life in the future. The second swings what is clearly his work boot and catches the knight on the side of his head. Harlan, forcing his way through the slight concussion and seeing no more reason to be lenient, simply draws his sword and runs his opponent through.
(2 Points awarded to Nyles' Small Blades skill, due to Boon. 1 Point awarded to Harlan's Unarmed skill. Harlan also receives a light wound.)
The rest of the surrounding mob have started arming themselves with nearby items and the mundane items they carry on their person. Candle sticks, statuettes, small knives, hammers, more boots. A few have wrapped loose cobblestones in cloth and fashioned a morning star of sorts.
Near the Crone, Lord Reyne's voice is heard howling commands to rescue his daughter, but what response, if any, is out of earshot.

When Richard was on his feet, Daemon paused before declaring, "We shall speak of this later. Come, there's a curious alcove that's caught my eye. Tell me what you think." There, at the other end of the hallway, was indeed an alcove. In it was an old fresco faded after years of being ignored, with a pair of candle holders attached to the wall on each side.

Harlan, who'd never wanted to hurt anyone, let alone unarmed peasants and in the Great Sept no less, froze as the bloodied man tumbled to the ground. "I'm.. I didn't want to.." he muttered, mostly to himself. As he looked up again, one ear ringing a little from the boot, it was clear there was no time to be wasted. What was done was done. He put his hand on Alice's shoulder again, his grip firmer this time, and started leading them towards the Crone, attempting to keep any ruffians at the length of his bloody sword. If any got too close, he'd still try to be as non-lethal as possible.

"Yes, your grace" Richard says with dismay in his voice. It had been a Kingsguard. This should not have happened. He examines the alchove, looking for irregularities or signs of a secret tunnel (Observation 46). He'll pull on the candle holders gently, testing them for any kind of mechanism.

Nyles sort of does what Harlan is, but any strike he launches is intended to be lethal and messy to deter aggression. He hands his sister his dagger and draws his blade, and puts his other hand between Myrcella's shoulder blades to keep her moving at a steady pace.

Alice was shocked by the sudden violence, horrified at the blood and death. "Oh gods!" She cried out and when Harlan put a hand on her shoulder she jumped. "Please... get us out of here!"

It takes a moment to work out the angle to turn it, but eventually there is a distinct click and the wall slides away. Inside is total darkness. Daemon pressed his hand against his mouth as his face turned pale with rage. If he had been a different sort of King, he would have howled and sworn to execute his entire Small Council to be sure. But instead, he held his silence until he had regained his regal bearing. "Ser Richard." His voice was flat. "You will speak of this to no one. If any man, including the Lord Commander or the Hand, asks what we were doing down here, you will answer that I was deciding the next High Septon, and nothing else. Understood?"

"As you direct, my liege" Richard answers quickly, then looks into the dark tunnel and speaks more quietly "It was a Kingsguard. White armored." He tries to close the tunnel off now, not wanting to leave any evidence of them being here.

"And how do you know this?" The King crossed his arms. He did not appear either cynical or annoyed, but rather thoughtful.
The tunnel closes easily enough

Richard breathes out slowly, conflicted inside himself. But he had sworn a path to this man, to keep his secrets. To give when given, generosity to meet generosity. He looks around to make sure they were completely alone. "My family... Has old blood your grace. Much as yours does, though ours is of the first men, not of Valyria. I see things sometimes. True things."

Round 2 Sooty, whose proper name is Arthur and irrelevant at this moment in his life, begins issuing orders to his troops. They are not particularly precise commands, and can be safely divided into two distinct categories. "Bring me that (unkind expletive for a woman)!" and "Kill that (equally unkind but less offensive expletive for a man)!" The commoners, unschooled in the fine art of highborn combat, decide the best course of action is to simply rely on superior numbers.
Alice's training with the knife serves her well. A grinning fool, eager to cop a feel, loses several of his fingers along with his candle stick. In her frenzy, another, more patient one manages to grab hold of her hair while his friend yells something that would have got his tongue cut out in most courts. Before he can press his glass shard to her throat, she manages to slip her dagger through his femoral artery. As he lies on the ground embracing his leg, Alice manages to lunge at the rude man, who fails to lift his brick in a sock in time.
While Alice repeatedly jams her knife into the lout's stomach, Nyles finds himself being overwhelmed. His three opponents circle him before one hollers to rush him. One brave man, whose father was unknowingly a direct descendant of the last Storm King, is cut down without having seen Storm's End. The other two fare better, managing to tackle the young man to the ground. Nyles twists his head to the side avoiding a sculptor's hammer breaking his skull open, but a punch to his gut makes it difficult to breathe and focus. Fortunately, his sword arm is strong and he manages to raise it up to partially behead the hammer wielder in a terrific swing. As the blood showers and temporarily blinds him, he feels the third man gripping his sword guard and attempting to wrestle it away.
Harlan has the esteemed pleasure of facing Ser Ranulf of the Blackfrost. A half-wildling sellsword hailing from the North, Ser Ranulf had earned much respect in the service of Lord Royce hunting equally savage raiders in the Mountains of the Moon. It was Lord Royce's sister, a devout and kind woman who regularly looked after the needs of her people, that slowly opened his eyes to the light of the seven pointed star. There is a song somewhere about their chaste but powerful love affair, but it is rarely heard outside the Vale.
In time, Lord Royce was called to lead his men to the Redgrass. There, Ranulf witnessed his friend struck down by the Usurper. With his dying breath, Royce knighted and excised a vow that he would see the true king secure on the throne.
It has been four years since Ranulf saw the Vale or the woman who changed his life. He hears news of her recent marriage from time to time, and thinks of what might have been had they been born with different names. But he still has his faith. He has failed her brother, but not her, and he finds some comfort in that.
Ranulf carries a shortsword and dirk this day, and prepares to sheath them in Harlan's body. The hedge knight wears no armor, but is swifter for it. He ducks under Harlan's sword and claims first blood with from sworn sword's left leg.
Harlan, to his credit, is able to swing down and slash Ranulph across the back. It is not a deep cut, but the former wildling swings more slowly, allowing his limping opponent to block his next attack.
(Alice Blackfort receives 1 point to Small Arms. Nyles Blackfort receives 2 points to Sword and a Light Wound. Ser Harlan Hawick receives 1 to Sword, along with a Medium Wound.)

Alice is almost in a trance, the shock of what was going on almost overwhelming her. She stared down at the dagger in her hand, saw how it was soaked in blood. That had been her doing, hadn't it? She'd killed people. Looking around she saw the absolute chaos, saw her guard and her brother both injured but fending people off.
"Why are you doing this!?" She cried out to the people attacking them, somehow not panicking but nonetheless confused and fearful. "We haven't done anything!" She spots Harlan standing off against his opponent, a scary looking man but somehow she pushes forward, trying to wait for the man to attack Harlan and be distracted so she could stab him.
