The surrounding lands subject to Harrenhal are actually some of the richest and most fertile in all of Westeros, being located in the watersheds of both the Trident River and Gods Eye lake. The landscape near the great castle is a patchwork of rolling hills, meandering streams, sunlit fields, and holdfasts, while further south it is forested.

The hunting party heads out into this picturesque landscape at night...when it is far less pleasant. The waxing crescent in the sky gives little light, just enough to see, but not enough to see very far in the darkness. Dacey, Edmure, Jorun, and a couple of Hoster's men set off in search of game. Don't most horror movies start with 5 people in similar circumstances?

As the only woman of the group, Dacey was hoping for plot armor. There must always be a Final Girl, right?
She dismounted at the edge of the woods and tied her horse to a tree. The hunting conditions were currently obviously very far from perfect, but she got out her bow and entered the forest anyway.
She kept her eyes and ears open and started looking for tracks.

According to horror movie logic, that entirely depended on whether she was a virgin or not.
(Success +3 to Hunting)
The lands are teaming with game and Dacey brings down a couple of rabbits with ease. Then she catches the reflection of a deer's eyes in the distance and expertly puts an arrow between them. It appeared she hunted better at night than most people did during the day.

Dacey tied the rabbits to her belt and ordered Hoster's goons to haul the deer back to the horses.

She had the uneasy feeling she was being watched, and when she glanced up in the trees she knew why. Thousands of pairs of beady yes stared down at her, following her in perfect unison, more black carrion birds than she had ever seen on any battlefied. There were so many that they made the forest darker, blocking the little moonlight made it through the canopy.

She stopped in her tracks and looked at the birds, unmoving and completely silent. Slowly, she reached for an arrow and nocked it without really even registering it. To say the scene was unsettling would have been an understatement; she'd never seen anything like this. Keeping an eye on the massive... murder of crows, she started moving back to the edge of the woods, as quietly and calmly as possible.

(I Don't Like People Touching My Stuff!- A thousand eyes, and they all hate your guts... Roll Result: HEADS) The birds just stare, though Dacey swears on her mother's grave that she sees one particularly large crow smile at her. (Curse of Harrenhal Flip: TAILS Roll Result: Bad...so bad...) As the group of five back out of the woods, Edmure feels something small and fluffy brush against his leg. One of Hoster's men holds out a torch to reveal an adorable baby brown bear who had decided the knight was his new best friend. It rolled onto its back and put its paws in the air. Just precious. "You can eat bear, right?" one of Hoster's men asked, clearly unaffected by the near overwhelming cuteness on display.

"I suppose." said Edmure. However he knew that small fluffy bears didn't just frolic by themselves in moonlit woods though. Suddenly alarmed, he drew his sword and adjusted his helmet.
"But we're not going to. Leave that thing alone and keep moving. And have your weapons ready." He moved away from the baby bear, following his sister.

A deafening roar split the night as a full grown grizzly bear came charging from the treeline towards the group of five, frothing at the mouth. But this was not just any bear. This monstrous creature had been nicknamed Olaf the Devourer by the local hunters in Harrenhal. Legend said it had once been a bandit king, turned into a bear by the gods as punishment for his beastly nature. The bear was actually female, but it was not as if anyone had ever gotten close enough to discern that. The bear had one eye, numerous scars in its patched fur, and a number of broken arrows and crossbow bolts lodged in its fur. The massive murder of crows scattered as the bear charged, forming a black cloud that blotted out the little light that the crescent moon afforded. "RUUUUUUUUUUN!" one of Hoster's boys cried, accidentally kicking the adorable bear cub as he scrambled away, which gave a shrill cry for its mother. (Olaf the Devourer rolls at 100, treats its attacks as using two handed weapons, and takes half damage from all wounds. Good luck)

Cursing profusely, mostly at his elder brother, Edmure shoved the other of Hoster's goons in front of him to slow the bear down, while at the same time he retreated, sword and shield held firmly in front of him, looking around for the horses.
"Scatter!" he yelled at the others, knowing that the bear could not lumber after them all.
Keeping his eyes firmly fixed upon the bear, he hoped Dacey could get an arrow away at the bear with her weirwood bow. They appeared to be in the open at least. There would be few trees to deflect a shot.
Sword: 80, Plate Armor, Shield.

Seeing Edmure shove his compatriot, Hoster's other ruffian immediately turned around and made a mad dash for the horses, which were tied up 50 yards away. The second one scrambled to his feet after Edmure had attempted to sacrifice him and also ran for the horses. There are only 3 horses and 5 people. Hoster's men are not the sort of individuals to lay their lives down for those of higher birth.
(Post actions. If you want to run for the horses, it's an agility or strength roll-whatever is higher. If you want to fight the bear, post stats. If you come up with something else to do, feel free to surprise me. Hoster's men are already running, because of Edmure's "noble act".)

Dacey turned at the horrible noise and barely had any time to register Edmure's cowardly act. The thought of shooting her brother in the leg for this did briefly cross her mind, though.
She darted away from the others in hopes of quickly lining up a shot before the bear could reach anyone. She was going to keep shooting until the proximity allowed it. If it got too close, she'd discard the bow to draw her swords.

Edmure had guessed correctly. Hoster's ruffians would run at the first sign of trouble. He had a short head start on the ruffian he had tried to force into the fight, but in plate armor, he surmised that he was unlikely to outrun the lighter armored men. Still, if he could get to a horse, he could charge the bear from horseback. Cursing again he turned to make for his horse.
He wasn't going to allow his sister or Jormun be killed by a bear no matter how big it was.

With a cheer of excitement at the sight of the bear, Jormun raises his crossbow and fires his shot at the remaining eye of the bear before dropping it, pulling his spear off of his back and retreating back towards the horses. "I know that bear! It will make a fine trophy for the hall! Happy, go for the eye!" Jormun directs his falcon as he breaks into a sprint.
