"My lady gives constant reminders why she was sent to civilize us country bumpkins." Willis said earnestly. "That sounds wise. Bel may have seen through my cunning plot, however." His face spread into a grin. "I just figure you got five of 'em, and old Ser Ghoulish the Kinslaying Babykiller - with all due respect meant to your sworn sword, my lady - he's only in charge of the one. But I don't want to just get handed it 'cause I'm your kin. Especially since thus far I've spent my service to you getting your uncle dismembered and myself shot full of holes. I want to earn it, same as I've earned everything else I have."

"I'll not be giving away my tower to some two bit champion who gets lucky in the joust." There were obviously other possible outcomes, but Belric refused to see them. If the wrong person were to win, he would be forced to accommodate them. Berlic was not accommodating. "The Wailing Tower is yours Willis, for more reasons than family relation..." He paused, "Though that is as good a reason as any in my opinion."

Willis was taken aback. "Shit, I should've just asked weeks ago..." He muttered, before composing himself somewhat. "Thank you, Bel. I'll, uh, do my best to, uh, discharge the responsibilities of the job. The office. The title? Anyway, it's a fuckin' honor."

"I'm fuckin' glad to hear it, Willis." Belric replied with a smile, his sour mood improving slightly.

////////////// 2nd Day of the 5th Moon
Lord Belric, accompanied by his wife and his advisors, enter the Hall of a Hundred Hearths, prepared to hold court. Noting the sea of faces, Belric looks to search for those that look familiar, friend and foe.
Taking Saesha's hand in his, he moved to the front of the room before all of the guests. "Welcome," he said with strength, his voice echoing in the stone chamber. "These halls have been cold for some time, but no more. We will fill them with life again, in celebration of the marriage between my dear sister Violet, and my great friend Lord Lucamore Roote." Belric could not help but feel a sense of destiny in that moment. He was hosting a grand tournament, one he would only have heard about in stories only a few months prior. He was also about to watch his sister marry the man that had helped elevate them from near peasantry. All of which was taking place within the greatest keep ever built... and it was his.
He smiled.
"But before we begin, Lady Saesha and I will hear you." He looked to his beautiful wife to see if there was anything she wished to add. His hand at her back rubbed encouragingly, knowing her voice could calm a storm... or incite one.

Saesha was not sure if her speaking now would lower her husband's authority, but he seemed eager for her to speak, so she would. She took a confident step forward, a physical show of her being closer to those gathered.
"The last five years have been painful for everyone, Red and Black and everyone in between, we have all suffered. The time for fighting is over now. It is time to let the past die. It is time to heal... make new... and to grow stronger, for Harrenhal, The Riverlands, and all of Westeros. You are all welcome here." Her tone was smooth and calm, but grounded rather than soft and airy and she smiled round at those gathered with a composed, inviting smile.
Whilst looking round at the crowd, she took the opportunity to see if anyone gathered looked like they might cause trouble or looked particularly perturbed.

Violet was dressed in one of her bests gowns, purchased from the seamstress Sansa in Harrentown. It was emerald green velvet with a darker green lace trimming. She also wore a hairnet set with tiny emeralds and a pair of gold bangles. She listened respectfully to the speeches, confident that she looked her best.

Every one of the high lords seemed to already have their masks up for the play. Except Torren, who as always seemed quite pissed, and the young Mandrake heir, who seemed quite nervous. His mother though could have been made of porcelain, as she clapped with the others in appreciation of their hosts. It was Lord Piper who stood up first, in his expensive light blue clothes. His voice had a soft, friendly tone to it, and he spoke just slowly enough that each man heard the fine articulation of his words. Still, his eyes and face conveyed more than enough emotion. "My lords! Lady Saesha shocks no one, I hope. Who among us does not still bear the scars of Unworthy Aegon's incompetence? Whether we supported the red or black, let us come together, here in the abode of our new brother..." He gestured to Lord Belric, who found Jaime's chair a great relief if he was going to sit through six more speeches like this. "Lucamore, did we not build twig forts together long before we razed stone ones? Mallister! I have a distinct memory of you and Lord Tully at your first tourney together! You broke the rubies off each other's armor, and then drank each other under the table! Lady Mandrake... Alyssa Mallister... You met your husband at that tourney too... Only sober man in the room while your brother pissed himself..." "It was spilled mead, damn it!" More than a few laughed openly at that. "If so, it was spilled by Riverlords! And we are Riverlords, are we not? Not heathen Northerners or spoiled Westerners! We built our castles with blood and broken fingers! So let's raise our cups and toast our new brother! A true son of the Riverlands! And then let's get bloody drunk!"

Maester Percival walked into the hall late. He stops at the door and looked around the large room with a smirk. He lurked around the back of the hall. He looked around at the inconsequential lords that bothered to attend this paltry event. And there was the oaf Belric, and his angelic wife. Percival leaned against the wall doing the math on how long he must attend.

Dacey stood near one of the walls, dressed in her usual black leathers so as not to attract any unwanted attention [read: suitors]. Idly, she listened to the "Make Riverlands Great Again!" speeches and waited for the gathering to end.

Ser Willem was lingering at the back of the room garbed in his nicest vestments, which were needless to say rather plain and unimpressive. His sword hung by his side as a precaution should any fool take it upon themselves to prove their worth by attacking the great ravensbane.

Jormun approached Dacey with a pair of wine cups in hand, dressed in the black leathers and grey cloak of his hunting attire. Still, he had prepared somewhat for the occasion, his leather freshly shined and the insignia of House Blackfort present over his left breast. He held one of the cups out to Dacey, a cheerful grin spread across his face that didn't meet his eyes.
He leaned over and whispered not-so-quietly, "Get me out of here," before smirking.

Willis stood near Willem, keeping an eye on the crowd and sipping some mead. He had done his best to dress up as befit his new title, but it was clear he was not used to finery. He played with his new signet ring and repeatedly unbuttoned and rebuttoned the top of his tunic, depending on how whatever lord or well-off knight he looked at wore theirs. Oh well, he'd likely calm down after a few drinks.
"Seven help us, they all gonna make fuckin' speeches before we get to have a party?" He whispered to Willem.

Dacey accepted the cup of wine, and gave him half a smirk in return. "If you think that's bad, just wait for the feasts. Were you at the one in Red Keep?" she inquired, thinking back to smacking Lord Butterwell's greasy fingers with half fondness, half annoyance.

Jormun chuckled at the memory of the feast. "If this is going to be anything like that show, it's best we both leave now. At least then we can say we had no part when the rest of the Riverlands declare war on us."
