"Yes, I found a nice room that wasn't been used for some time, than the Seven. It's dusty, but I'm going to clean it up a bit. I'll be able to make it properly my own once we're settled in more."
She eyed the wrapped head rather dubiously. "Do I want to know what you're doing with that thing?"

"I'm taking it to Harrentown," she replied, sparing Violet the details. "That is good. Best to keep busy. Which tower is that?"

2nd Moon, 22nd Day
Belric sat upon his... chair, preparing himself for court. He had invited his uncle Jon to join him, as well as his brother Edmure and his wife Saesha.
"Go and find me some wine." He commanded one of the serving girls who was standing nearby. He hoped enough spirits could take the edge off of his nerves. He could fight ten men without ever breaking composure, however dealing out justice and order made his palms sweat.

The first supplicant could be recognized from across the hall, and without tremendous effort. Ser Valarr Hill had seemingly only gotten larger since the granary had been opened, though the fact he wore no armor at present seemed to make up for the difference.
When he finally reached the Lord's area, he was already covered in sweat from the trek. "Your Excellency! Might I..." He paused and leaned unto a guard, who almost seemed to panic for fear of being crushed in his armor. "Pardon! Might I say that, if the many rumors are true, and you do intend to bestow various titles and lands upon my unworthy personage in exchange for being the sole loyal heart to greet your righteous house, I should like to declare that the likewise multitudinous rumors of me casting mine sharpened eye upon the Wailing or Kingspyre Tower are false! It is unknightly to serve with the expectation of great rewards, no matter how clearly just and deserved they may be to the keenly rational mind!"
He was roaring now, practically dragging the unfortunate guard as he decried the sins of the world. "So Ser Valarr Hill, he who slew the vile Ser Aenys Rivers of the Golden Chamberpot upon the Redgrass, declares that he serves the laws of gods and men, and will accept no responsibility or title he has not earned through word or deed! Humility! Aye, that is the word I blow before House Blackfort! Humility! And let it not be said..."
He ran out of breath again.

Septon Jared stood among the spectators. New to Harrenhal, he was unfamiliar with Ser Valarr but had to fight back the laugh that threatened to escape hi lips at Ser Valarr's tone.

Belric was not particularly fond of Ser Valarr, the man was built from traits unbecoming of a knight. That, as well as his detestable appearance, made it difficult for Belric to listen to him when he spoke. He struggled to remain composed while Valarr talked about being rewarded for his loyalty, the line about appointing him the Knight of Kingspyre was a particularly well timed.
There were several moments in the knight's speech where Belric considered interrupting. However, by the time Ser Valarr had stopped speaking, Belric had finally found interest in what he was saying. "Yes... And let what not be said, Ser Valarr?"

"Yes... And let what not be said, Ser Valarr?" "Well... To say it would give undue credence to its obvious slanderosity! So I refrain from its utterance! Nay, I spit upon its architect." He did not actually spit, much to the relief of the already understaffed cleaners. "So in that spirit of honor and justice, I lay my proverbial head in your lap like a kitten, to purr at whatever treats his master may pass down. For what is Valarr, namesake of valor itself, but a loyal knight of House Blackfort?

"I am a simple man, Ser Valarr. You twist your words upon themselves and I have no way of knowing what you ask. You talk about serving with no expectation of reward, yet here you stand, asking me to anoint you." Belric shifted his weight from one arm of his chair to the other. "I will not deny that you have proven your loyalty. It was you who rode out upon our arrival, to warn of the civil war behind these walls. I have not forgotten you. If you wish something of me Ser, ask it honestly, it will serve you to be direct."

Edmure sat nearby watching Ser Valarr give his speech with amusement.
"Without a doubt Ser Valarr wants a reward for his loyalty, Belric. Knight of the Wailing or Kingspyre Tower it seems."

"Is my brother correct, Ser Valarr? You want a tower?" His words were indifferent, the prospect of a tower seemed uninspired in Belric's opinion. Did he realize how many stairs there were?

"Of course not! The absurdity! Those towers are yours! What should Ser Valarr, the Vexer of All Violent Violators, have need of a tower except to..."
He rubbed his belly in thought with his free hand. "Why yes! I see your brother's wisdom, Lord Beric. Only Ser Valarr posseses the heart and soul great enough to encompass a tower of Harrenhal!" He stamped his foot. "Then yes!! I accept your offer!! I shall rule a tower in your name, if that is truly what you feel must be!!"
That poor guard.

"I don't believe an offer was made, Ser Valarr." said Edmure. "Lord Belric was asking you a question, not affirming you in a position."
"Although..he said turning to Belric. "...I believe our Ser Valarr here has answered your question."

"Indeed," Belric said to his brother.
He turned to his uncle, Jon Blackfort, speaking to him in confidence. "What do you advise? I think him an ill fit for a tower, but would not insult his loyalties."

Jon Blackfort, who stood on the left side of his Lord, now stepped closer and leaned in to offer his assessment. He spoke in a hushed whisper.

Belric nodded, withdrawing from Jon and returning his attention to Valarr Hill, "You have served my house well, Ser Valarr. However I have different plans for Kingspyre. Your services as Magistrate are still needed, more so now than ever before."
