Belric broke into laughter, destorying his composure. He had known Benjen to be a quick wit, and enjoyed a bout of friendly banter. However, he never would have thought he could get Benjen to bow so pertly.
He shoved Benjen, leaning against him while he keeled over from the hilarity, "Your father..." He said through the gasps, "...Would be so proud to know you learned how to bow!"

Benjen snorted through his nose before breaking out into genuine laughter. Belric's belly laughs were infectious, and Ben could not have asked for a warmer welcome.
"Never say it's too late to learn a few new tricks." Ben smiled. "Just don't hold your breath to see me jousting any time soon."

"Some things never change." Said Belric, "Make yourself at home, cousin. Lordly duties need doing."
Belric walked back to his seat, getting comfortable before continuing with his responsibilities.

No further petitioners of note came that day. Belric heard dozens of cases, but the most interesting was a squabble between two peasants over a stolen bag of turnips.

Belric concluded court. He had other responsibilities to take care of, and a craving for turnip stew.

Qhorin is in the great hall, marking notes currently. A few of his men are there, but it's a more subdued affair at this point. The gold for the quarry and dock weren't delegated yet, so he had a few minor items to clear up.

Benjen Snow made his way into the great hall, dark quilted tunic under a chain shirt. His greatsword was belted to his hip, and he would need it today, but not for the reason he usually did. He glanced about, narrow eyed, searching for one of the members of the Blackfort Family that would be appropriate for his task, and grumbled to himself as he made his way down the rows of tables. "Too damn open," he muttered, still glancing around, aware of his surroundings. He paid no mind to the fact that a few of the servants muttered as he passed. A northman in the Riverlands? Something was amiss here.
It was warranted, Benjen supposed. He fought with the Blackforts during the Blackfyre War, even leading a few hit-and-run groups during the Kingswood Front. Afterwards, though, he just meandered from place to place. Now, with his pockets near running on empty, and the Blackforts being some of the more reliable paymasters he'd ever had, he figured it was time to settle down for a while. He spied a man in a master mason's apron, and approached him, figuring that he would at least know where one of the lords or ladies of the house would be.

Qhorin is the only man within eyesight that appears to have any authority, his garb a step above those around him. He is currently taking notes, on some paper, examining some of the hearths that made up the hall. He is looking for any abnormalities or strangeness like he discovered in the vault. (Civil Engineering 81)
Qhorin looked up with annoyance at the man until he saw the battle dress, quickly schooling his face into a completely neutral expression. Step one to surviving, don't piss off men with swords. Be helpful, don't draw attention, and don't mention your thoughts on the outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in society.
"How can I help you... Ser?" asked the Mason, making a guess and hoping he was correct.

"You," Benjen said flatly, "Mason. You work for the Blackforts?" Yeah, it was a little bit curt and out of character for him. Usually, he would crack a bawdy joke or two, or spin a yarn a mile long, but now was the time for neither of those things. This was the first time he'd actually be seeing his (hopeful) liege lord or his family in person, and he wanted to put his best foot forward.

"I do" said the man "Master Qhorin, at your service." he eyed the multitude of guards in the place before flicking his gaze back to the man before him. Armed, new to the place, and not very happy about traveling. Caution was maybe best. "Are you looking for someone?" he asks.

"Aye, I'm looking for a Blackfort. Any one will do, but the more important the better," he said, then paused, looking down at his state of dress. "And no, I am not going to kill them. I value my hide, and I'd like to keep it right where it is. Long and short of it, I'm here to swear my sword to the house." Clearly, he had put off the Mason a little bit, but he felt it was still salvageable if he softened up slightly. "Could you at least point me in the direction of one of the various lord or ladyships of the house?"

The mason thinks for a second, then nods and points to a staircase behind the man "The Lord is currently occupied I believe, but Lady Saesha should be in her solar at this time. I can't guarantee a meeting of course, but the last few swords to come in have gone to her when Lord Blackfort was busy. Go up those stairs, 15th level, should be able to find her there"
He offers his hand to the man "Let me be the first to say, welcome to Harrenhal."

Benjen looked over his shoulder at the staircase as Qhorin gestured to it, then turned back to the other man. He nodded and took the Mason's forearm in hand rather firmly and said, "Thank you, ser. Name's Benjen Snow, by the way. Thanks for the directions." With that, he made his way towards the staircase, counting out the number of steps as he did so and wondering how someone could build such a massive godsdamned tower in the first place. Hell, he'd probably have to ask Master Qhorin the next time he saw the man.

Qhorin looked wildly at the man as he went away and said after him "I am definitely no knight Ser! Ser? Ah bugger." He shook his head and resumed his task.

Once the man was gone, Qhorin went back to checking the place over for the strangeness like in the vault. (Civil Engineering 81
