The solar is one flight below the lord's bedchamber. It is a spare, drafty room that is as large as a hall in a smaller castle.

Violet arrives at the solar looking for her brother. Her hair is damp and she has an inexplicable smear of blood across the side of her neck that has somehow escaped her notice.

Belric walked into his chambers, expecting to be able to relax. It had been a long day, and he was weary. Yet, at the sight of his bloody sister, Belric burst into action.
He jumped at Violet, confusing the bloody smear across her neck for a wound of her own. "Violet! What in the fuckin' seven hells!" Belric grabbed at her shoulders, frantically searching for the fatal cut that was slowly killing his sister. He was probably more rough than he should have been, throwing her about as he tried to save her life, but Belric had never been known for being gentle.
After searching everywhere that made sense, he finally put two and two together. Realizing the blood was not hers, he let her go, shock still present in his expression. "What the fuck Violet?"

Wide-eyed and shocked, she couldn't respond at first, but waited for her heart rate to slow.
"Please don't do that again, Belric, you scared me half to death," she said. "I...um...fell. In the baths. They're still drenched in blood. It's horrid." She wrinkled her nose. "I was hoping one of them might be fit to use, but they'll need some rough scouring first, all of them. And I think we should find a septon to cleanse the place of evil."
She paused, to let her words sink in. "Belric, I found something interesting. I think Lady Danelle may have left more secrets behind, or at least a treasure of some kind. I want to find out if she left a strongbox here in the solar, or else the bedchamber. Help me look?"

A relief filled sigh escaped Belric's lungs, he was beginning to think she had a talent for getting into trouble. "I scared you half to death?" He asked, beginning the process of shedding his armor. "I was not the one waiting in your quarters, soaking wet and covered in blood. I'd nearly thought you a ghost." He set a gauntlet down on his desk. He was only half listening to her story about wanting to take a bath... or whatever it was. It had been a long day and Belric was still recovering from the fright she had given him. However, his ears perked at the mention of Lady Danelle, specifically the word treasure. "You want to look right now? Let me see what you found." Belric said, making a quick look around the room to see if he saw anything peculiar. He realize he had never been in the Lord's Solar before, figuring he should get used to the view. (Observation: 0)

The view is quite spectacular, overlooking the curtain wall and main gate to the massive God's Eye lake, the Isle of Faces visible on a clear day. That is all Belric notices. Sherlock Holmes, he is not.

"I found a key," she said absently, as she walked over to the hearth to begin the search. Unlike Belric, Violet was much more thorough in her search. She looked in cupboards, behind chairs, on shelves, anywhere she could think of, conscious all the time of the key's weight around her neck.

She also find nothing of interest, other than the splendid view.

"I can't find anything," she sighed. "Let's try somewhere else. How about the bedchamber? I thought maybe Lady Danelle would keep her treasured possessions close by her."

Belric was not inclined to go on a scavenger hunt through the depths of Harrenhal, but he knew Violet was trying desperately to be helpful. "Okay, but let's be quick about it." When he finally finished stripping his armor, got up and walked to the bedchamber.

Edmure Blackfort having visited the treasury, the granaries and having set up his own chambers decided it was high time to pay a visit to his brother Lord Belric. Having informed the guard of his arrival he waited to be admitted to Belric's new private solar.

"Come in!" Berlic shouted at the door while he sat at his desk. He looked up, happy to see his brother was recovering from the bear attack. "How's the shoulder?" He asked while he rifled through the pages of the books before him. Most of them were from the libraries of King's Landing, all of which had specific references to Harrenhal and its history. Belric was having a hard time reading through them, he could only manage a few pages each day before being overcome by boredom.
Belric got up from his chair, and walked to meet Edmure in the middle of the room. "Something to drink, brother?"

Edmure nodded. "Ale, if you have any." he answered. He flexed his shoulder gingerly. "Shoulder is getting better. Another week I think." He smiled wryly, thinking of Redgrass Field. "I've had worse."
Edmure indicated the books. "Enjoying those?" he asked in a slightly sarcastic tone, knowing full well that Belric was most likely not.

"Did nobody tell you brother? When you become lord, you instantly develop a deep love for literature, poetry, and all that crap." Belric threw a hand in the air, waving off the remaining spectrum of art and education. He could read, a skill learned so he could understand and relay orders, however Belric had never read a book from one cover to the other.
He poured two chalices of ale from the cask brought up by Hoster's men. His uncle had a few flaws, but no one would have ever called him a stingy drunk. Perhaps it was because he was Hoster's nephew, however regardless the reason spirits were never far from Belric's reach.
Handing one of the drinks to Edmure, Belric continued, "What can I do for you, Edmure?"

Saesha walked into the room, holding another book that came from King's Landing for her husband from the books personally given to her from the Grand Maester. She was a voracious reader herself so was helping her husband develop a joy for the written word. How would remain a mystery.
"Hello Edmure" she said, not leaving when she saw him, or even looked surprised to see him as she entered. She moved past him to the other side of the desk and sat on the arm of the chair there beyond, her hand on her husbands back. She opened the new book to the page she wanted and placed it down for Belric to read next.
She was looking lovely, in a black and blue dress of flowing silks, not really suited to winter, but there was a fire in place to keep her warm.
